Abstract

Se revelan materiales acrílicos de baja adhesión, hidrofóbicos, con alto índice de refracción. Estos materiales, que resultan especialmente útiles para lentes intraoculares, contienen uno o más monómeros hidrofóbicos aril acrílicos como monómeros principales para la formación de dispositivos, un aditivo macrómero para reducir la pegajosidad o adhesión y un aditivo para reducir el brillo o resplandor. Además de poder empleárselos para la fabricación de lentes intraoculares, los presentes materiales resultan asimismo aptos para crear otros dispositivos oftálmicos implantables.
