Abstract

Dichas variantes son adecuadas para el crecimiento en cultivos sumergidos, por ej., para la producción a gran escala de enzimas y otras proteínas para aplicaciones comerciales.Reivindicación 1: Una cepa variante de hongo filamentoso derivada de una cepa parental, comprendiendo la cepa variante una alteración genética que hace que las células de la cepa variante produzcan una cantidad alterada de proteína Seb1 funcional en comparación con células de la cepa parental, donde las células de la cepa variante producen durante la fermentación aeróbica en cultivo sumergido un caldo celular que (i) requiere una cantidad alterada de agitación para mantener un contenido preseleccionado de oxígeno disuelto en comparación con las células de la cepa parental, y/o (ii) mantiene un contenido de oxígeno disuelto alterado en una cantidad preseleccionada de agitación, en comparación con las células de la cepa parental. Reivindicación 18: Un método para producir una cepa variante de células de hongo filamentoso que comprende: introducir una alteración genética en una cepa parental de células de hongo filamentoso, alteración genética la cual altera la producción de la proteína Seb1 funcional en comparación con las células de la cepa parental, produciendo de ese modo una célula de hongo filamentoso variante que produce durante la fermentación aeróbica en cultivo sumergido un caldo celular que (i) requiere una cantidad alterada de agitación para mantener un contenido de oxígeno disuelto preseleccionado, en comparación con las células de la cepa parental, y/o (ii) mantiene un contenido de oxígeno disuelto alterado en una cantidad preseleccionada de agitación, en comparación con las células de la cepa parental.
