Abstract
Se refiere a un proceso para producir nanofibras de carbono y/o nanotubos de carbono, dicho proceso comprende pirolizar un particulado celulosico y/o un sustrato de carbohidrato que ha sido impregnado con un compuesto de un elemento o elementos, el metal o la aleacion, respectivamente, del cual es capaz de formar carburos, en una atmosfera que contiene el compuesto de silicio volátil, sustancialmente libre de oxígeno, opcionalmente en presencia de un compuesto de carbono.
