Abstract
Método para suprimir un fenotipo en la progenie de un par de plantas progenitoras, donde: (a) dicho fenotipo se expresa en cada una de dichas plantas progenitoras, (b) el genoma de cada planta progenitora se manipula con el fin de inactivar el gen que afecta el fenotipo de interés; y (c) el gen inactivado en el primer progenitor codifica un producto génico diferente de aquél del gen inactivado en el segundo progenitor. Se obtiene un par de plantas de cruzamiento que presentan un fenotipo comun y una planta transgénica. Método para generar plantas que carecen de un fenotipo particular, a partir de progenitores que presentan dicho fenotipo. Método para producir semillas de una planta híbrida. Método para identificar la funcion del producto un gen de interés expresado en una célula. Método para propagar una planta de mantenimiento. Elemento regulador para la expresion preferencial de un polinucleotido unido operativamente a polen en desarrollo. Método para evitar la transmision de un transgen de interés a las gametas de un organismo transgénico.
