Abstract
Métodos para seleccionar embriones haploides. Se proporcionan métodos para producir embriones haploides y embriones diploides no viables en una planta. Se proporcionan métodos para seleccionar los embriones haploides producidos a partir de líneas inductoras de maíz haploides. Se describen métodos para producir líneas inductoras de maíz mejoradas. Se describen líneas inductoras de maíz que comprenden transgenes que provocan embriones diploides ablacionados o anormales. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para seleccionar embriones haploides caracterizado porque comprende a) polinizar una primera planta de maíz con el polen de una línea inductora de maíz haploide para producir embriones, donde dicha línea inductora de maíz haploide comprende un polinucleotido expresado que es letal para el embrion, un polinucleotido que impide la transmision del polen, y un polinucleotido expresado letal para el embrion; b) producir embriones haploides y embriones diploides no viables; y c) seleccionar los embriones de maíz haploides.
