Abstract

Una composicion de polietileno, un método para producirla, artículos realizados a partir de ella y un método para fabricar dichos artículos. La composicion de polietileno de acuerdo con la presente invencion comprende (1) una cantidad inferior o igual a 100 por ciento en peso de las unidades derivadas de etileno; y (2) menos de 15 por ciento en peso de unidades derivadas de uno o más comonomeros de ?-olefina. La composicion polietileno de acuerdo con la presente posee una densidad en el rango de 0,907 a 0,975 g/cm3, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mw/Mn) en el rango de 1,70 a 3,62, un índice de fusion (I2) en el rango de 2 a 1000 g/10 minutos, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mz/Mw) en el rango de menos de 2,5 y una instauracion de vinilo inferior a 0,06 vinilos cada mil átomos de carbono presentes en la estructura principal de la composicion. El progreso para producir una composicion de polietileno de acuerdo con la presente invencion comprende los siguientes pasos: (1) (co) polimerizar etileno y por lo menos uno o más comonomeros de ?-olefina en presencia de un catalizador de metaloceno a base de hafnio mediante un proceso de (co) polimerizacion de fase gaseosa en un reactor de una sola etapa; y (2) producir de este modo la composicion de polietileno inventiva, en donde la composicion de polietileno posee una densidad en el rango de 0,907 a 0,975 g/cm3, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mw/Mn) en el rango de 1,70 a 3,62, un índice de distribucion del peso molecular (Mw/Mn) en el rango de 1,70 a 3,62, un índice de fusion (I2) en el rango de 2 a 1000 g/10 minutos, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mz/Mw) en el rango inferior a 2,5, y una instauracion de vinilo inferior a 0,06 vinilos cada mil átomos de carbono presentes en la estructura principal de dicha composicion. Los artículos moldeados por inyeccion de acuerdo con la presente invencion comprende una composicion de polietileno que comprende (1) una cantidad inferior o igual a 100 por ciento en peso de las unidades derivadas de etileno; y (2) menos de 15 por ciento en peso de unidades derivadas de uno o más comonomeros de ?-olefina; en donde la composicion de polietileno posee una densidad en el rango de 0,907 a 0,975 g/cm3 una distribucion del peso molecular (Mz/Mw) en el rango inferior a 2,5 una instauracion de vinilo inferior a 0,06 vinilos cada mil átomos de carbono presentes en la estructura principal de dicha composicion . El proceso para preparar un artículo moldeado por inyeccion de acuerdo con la presente invencion comprende los siguientes pasos (a) seleccionar una composicion de polietileno que comprende (1) una cantidad inferior o igual a 100 por ciento en peso de las unidades derivadas de etileno; y (2) menos de 15 por ciento en peso de unidades derivadas de uno o más comonomeros de ?-olefina ; en donde la composicion de polietileno posee una densidad en el rango de 0,907 a o,975 g/cm3, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mz/Mw) en el rango de 1,70 a 3,62, un índice de fusion (I2) en el rango de 2 a 1000 g/10 minutos, una distribucion del peso molecular (Mz/Mw) en el rango inferior a 2,5, una instauracion de vinilo inferior a 0,06 vinilos cada mil átomos de carbono presentes en la estructura principal de dicha composicion; (b) moldear por inyeccion de dicha composicion de polietileno ; y (c) formar de ese4 modo el artículo moldeado por inyeccion.
