Abstract

Una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU), WTRU que comprende: un receptor configurado para recibir una lista de células vecinas desde una estacion base (BS) de una red de comunicacion celular, incluyendo la lista de células vecinas una pluralidad de parámetros de red inalámbrica, y para recibir un segundo mensaje que incluye informacion de puntos de acceso ôhot-spotsö (terminales de conexion a red inalámbrica de alta velocidad); un procesador configurado para determinar una existencia de por lo menos una red inalámbrica dentro de un área de cobertura de la estacion base y para seleccionar una de la por lo menos una red inalámbrica utilizando por lo menos uno de la pluralidad de parámetros de red inalámbrica recibidos de informacion de ôhot-spotö; y un transmisor configurado para iniciar un procedimiento de traspaso (handover) con la red inalámbrica seleccionada. También se divulga una estacion base (BS) asociada a la WTRU.
