Abstract

La presente provee un método para llevar a cabo una reaccion orgánica catalizada con ácido de Lewis en presencia de un catalizador ácido de Lewis que comprende un compuesto metal-orgánico que tiene la siguiente formula: M(HO(CR1 R2)z)a(O(CR1R2)z)bY-(CR3R4)x-Y((CR1R2)zO)c((CR1R2)zOH)d.nR5OH caracterizado porque: M es un átomo de metal, de manera preferible titanio, zirconio, hafnio o hierro (III), Y se selecciona de P y N, pero es de manera muy preferible N; cada R1, R2, R3 y R4 se selecciona de manera independiente de H, alquilo, arilo, alquilo substituido o arilo substituido, R5 es hidrogeno, un grupo alquilo, un grupo alquilo funcionalizado con hidroxi, una fraccion polioxialquilo, R6O o R7COO caracterizado porque R6 y R7 pueden representar cada uno H, alquilo, arilo o alquil-arilo: d y a son cada uno 0 o 1, b y c son cada uno 1 o 2, b + c = la valencia de M, a+b+c+d = 4, cada z es independientemente 1, 2, 3 o 4; x representa el menor numero de átomos C entre los átomos Y, y es 2 o 3 y n es un numero en el rango de 0 a 4. El compuesto metal orgánico forma un hidrato estable en agua que retiene las propiedades catalíticas de un ácido de Lewis.
