Abstract

Se describe una composicion de reduccion de NOx y proceso para utilizar la composicion para reducir el contenido de emisiones de NOx y especies de nitrogeno reducidas en fase gaseosa liberadas desde la zona de regeneracion durante el craqueo catalítico de fluidos de una carga de alimentacion de hidrocarburos en componentes de más bajo peso molecular. El proceso comprende poner en contacto una carga de alimentacion de hidrocarburos durante un proceso de craqueo catalítico de fluidos (FCC) donde una zona de regeneracion de una unidad de craqueo catalítico de fluidos (FCCU) es operada en un modo de combustion parcial o incompleta bajo condiciones de FCC, con un inventario circulante de un catalizador de craqueo FCC y una composicion de reduccion de NOx particulada. La composicion de reduccion de NOx tiene un tamano de partícula medio de más de 45 (mu)m y comprende (1) un componente de zeolita que tiene (i) un tamano de poro de menos de 7,2 Angstroms y (ii) una relacion molar SiO2/Al2O3 inferior a 500, y (2) por lo menos un metal noble seleccionado del grupo formado por platino, paladio, rodio, iridio, osmio, rutenio, renio y las mezclas de los mismos.
