Abstract
La presente se refiere al campo de la catálisis heterogénea, y más en particular a catalizadores de oxidacion que incluyen soportes de carbono con un metal noble depositado sobre los mismos y uno o más promotores opcionales y a métodos para su preparacion. La presente se refiere además al campo de reacciones de oxidacion catalítica en fases heterogéneas, que incluyen la preparacion e aminas secundarias mediante la oxidacion catalítica de aminas terciarias, como por ejemplo la oxidacion de un ácido N-(fosfonometil) iminodiacético para producir un producto N-(fosfonometil)glicina. Reivindicacion 1: Un catalizador de oxidacion que comprende un soporte de carbono, metal noble y un promotor, caracterizado porque dicho soporte tiene partículas de metal sobre una de sus superficies que comprende dicho metal noble, donde dichas partículas de metal noble se caracterizan por tener una distribucion de tamanos de partícula segun se determina usando microscopía electronica tal que, con respecto a las partículas de metal noble con un tamano de hasta 10nm en su dimension mayor, no más de aproximadamente 25% (en una base numérica) de dichas partículas de metal noble miden menos de 3nm en su dimension mayor. Reivindicacion 116: Un proceso para la preparacion de un catalizador de oxidacion caracterizado porque comprende depositar un metal noble sobre la superficie de un soporte de carbono, y luego calentar la superficie hasta una temperatura de entre aproximadamente 850 degree C y aproximadamente 1200 degree C en un ambiente no oxidante. Reivindicacion 161: Un catalizador de oxidacion caracterizado porque comprende un soporte de carbono con un metal noble, hierro y cobalto sobre una superficie del soporte de carbono, donde: el metal noble que se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en platino, paladio, rutenio, rodio, iridio, plata, osmio, oro y combinaciones de los mismos y dicho metal noble constituyen entre aproximadamente 2 y aproximadamente 8% en peso de dicho catalizador; el hierro constituye por lo menos aproximadamente 0,05% en peso del catalizador; el cobalto constituye por lo menos aproximadamente 0,05% en peso del catalizador; y la porcion en peso entre hierro y cobalto es de entre aproximadamente 0,2:1 y aproximadamente 1:1.
