Abstract
En la colada continua de formatos circulares o poligonales y desbastes se emplean lingoteras cuya cavidad de conformación consiste de un tubo de cobre (3), el cual es refrigerado intensivamente mediante un enfriamiento por circulación de agua. Para aumentar por una parte, la capacidad de enfriamiento y, por otra parte, la estabilidad de forma de la cavidad de conformación (4), así como para prolongar la duración total del tubo de cobre (3), se propone dotar el tubo de cobre (3), por toda su periferia, en la camisa tubular exterior (5), de una camisa de apoyo (12) o de placas de apoyo. Para el enfriamiento del tubo de conbre (3) están dispuestos en el tubo de cobre (3) o en la camisa de apoyo 812) canales de enfriamiento (6) para la conducción del agua de enfriamiento. Los canales de enfriamiento (6) están distribuidos por toda la periferia en la camisa tubular exterior (5) y se extienden esencialmente por toda la longitud de lingotera.
