Abstract
La presente se refiere a un proceso para la reformación de un alcohol. El proceso comprende poner en contacto un alcohol con un catalizador de reformación que comprende cobre en la superficie de una estructura metálica de soporte, preferiblemente una estructura de soporte en forma de esponja metálica que comprende níquel. En algunas formas de realización que se prefieren, el hidrógeno que se produce mediante el proceso de reformación se utiliza como fuente de combustible para una celda de combustible de hidrógeno para generar energía eléctrica, en particular para impulsar un vehículo.
