Abstract
Un compuesto de hierro y dextrina para el tratamiento de la anemia por deficiencia de hierro que comprende dextrina hidrogenada con un peso molecular medio en peso igual o inferior a 3.000 Dalton y un peso molecular medio en número igual o superior a 400 Daltons, en combinación estable con oxihidróxido férrico. Como el peso molecular de la dextrina debe ser estrecho, otra característica importante de la presente es que la fracción de 10% de las dextrinas con el mayor peso molecular tiene un peso molecular medio de menos de 4.500 Daltons y el 90% de las dextrinas tienen pesos moleculares de menos de 3.000 Daltons. También es importante que la facción del 10% con el menor peso molecular tenga un peso molecular medio en peso de 340 Daltons o más.
