Abstract
El medio comprende además una mezcla de bases nutritivas tales como peptonas, triptonas y extractos de levadura; sustancias que garantizan la aparición de diferentes coloraciones en las colonias como propilenglicol, rojo neutro, rojo fenol, magenta glucurónico, X-Gal, o MUG; inhibidores de microorganismos Gram-positivos, preferiblemente desoxicolato de sodio; y sustancias que proporcionan la matriz sólida para el crecimiento y desarrollo de las colonias. Se describe un método que permite identificar microorganismos tales como Escherichia coli, E. coli O157:H7, Shigella sonnei, Sh Flexneri, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia odorífera y S. Marcencens, Proteus mirabilis, Pr. Vulgaris, Salmonella enteritidis, S. cholerasuiss, S. typhimurium, S. Schotmuelleri, S. Typha, Enterobacter aerogenes y cloacae, Citrobacter feeundii, Aeromonas hydrophila, por la aparición de al menos 10 colores característicos y de halos de al menos 5 diferentes coloraciones y tamanos característicos. Reivindicación 1: Medio de cultivo para la identificación de microorganismos Gram-negativos, caracterizado porque comprende una mezcla de componentes que proporcionan la aparición de halos de diferentes colores y tamanos constituida por tierra silícea, leche descremada, almidones y carbón bacteriológico, y que comprende además una mezcla de bases nutritivas, sustancias que garantizan la aparición de diferentes coloraciones en las colonias, sustancias que garantizan la inhibición de los organismos Gram-positivos y sustancias que proporcionan una matriz sólida necesaria para el crecimiento y desarrollo de las colonias.
