Abstract
Se presentan laminados de microlentes con imágenes compuestas, donde la imagen compuesta flota sobre o debajo del laminado, o en ambos lados. Las imágenes pueden ser en blanco y negro o en color, y puede parecer que se mueven junto con el observador. A diferencia de algunos laminados holográficos, el laminado con imágenes actual no puede ser utilizado para crear una réplica del mismo. Además, la o las imágenes flotantes pueden apreciarse por un observador a simple vista. La imagen compuesta puede ser bi û o tridimensional. En particular, se divulga un laminado que comprende: a) al menos una capa de microlentes, capa que presenta un primero y un segundo lados; b) una capa de material dispuesta en forma adyacente al primer lado de la capa de microlentes; c) al menos una imagen parcialmente completa formada en el material que se asocia con cada una de las pluralidades de las microlentes, en donde la imagen contrasta con el material; y d) una imagen compuesta, provista por las imágenes individuales, que a simple vista parece flotar sobre o por debajo del laminado, o de ambas maneras. El laminado que presenta una imagen compuesta de acuerdo con lo descrito, puede ser utilizado en una variedad de aplicaciones tales como imágenes de seguridad a prueba de violaciones en pasaportes, identificaciones, pases, tarjetas de afinidad, formatos de identificacion y publicidades de productos para su verificacion y autenticidad, imágenes de mejora de marca que proveen una imagen de la marca flotante o hundida o ambas, imágenes de presentacion de identificacion en aplicaciones gráficas tales como emblemas para vehículos de la policía, de los bomberos u otros vehículos de emergencia; imágenes de presentacion de informacion en aplicaciones gráficas tales como kioscos, carteles nocturnos y tableros de automoviles; y mejoramiento de fantasía a través del uso de imágenes compuestas en productos tales como tarjetas comerciales, etiquetas, arte, calzado y productos embotellados.
