Abstract

Se proveen composiciones, tiras de ensayo reactivas, sistemas de deteccion de analitos y equipos de los mismos, así como también métodos para su uso en la deteccion de un analito en una muestra. Las presentes composiciones se caracterizan porque tienen una matriz porosa cargada positivamente y un colorante derivado de urea sobre por lo menos una superficie de la matriz, donde en muchas realizaciones preferidas, el colorante derivado de urea es un colorante derivado de urea cargado negativamente. En muchas realizaciones preferidas, las presentes composiciones incluyen además por lo menos un miembro reactivo adicional de un sistema productor de peroxido, por ejemplo un analito de oxidasa y/o peroxidasa. Las presentes composiciones, las tiras de ensayo, los sistemas de deteccion de analitos y equipos son utiles para la deteccion de una amplia variedad de analitos en una muestra tal como una muestra fisiologica, por ejemplo sangre o una fraccion de la misma.
