Abstract
Un aplicador y un método para aplicar compuesto de relleno, como ser compuesto bloqueador de agua, y polvo absorbente de agua a un nucleo de alambre oalambres de un conductor trenzado o a capas posteriores de un conductor trenzado, particularmentead ecuados para emplearse con una trenzadora tubular, queincluye un cabezal giratorio, que puede ubicarse en igual sentido que una trenzadora de alambre. El nucleo es conducido a través de un pasaje central donde seaplica el compuesto de relleno alnucl eo y se aplica polvo al compuesto de relleno. A través del cabezal giratorio se proveen pasajes para hilos, a fin deconducir los hilos metálicos a través de ellos, sin ser recubiertos. Se trenzan los hilos metálicos alrededor del nucleo en unamatriz de cierre.Preferentemente, el circuito de circulacion de polvo es un circuito cerrado, permitiendo de esta manera el reciclado de polvo. Preferentemente, se fluidificael polvo antes de ser enviado al aplicador, y se retira del aplicador bajoun leve vacío. El cabezal giratorio puede contener una seccion del aplicador decompuesto de relleno y una seccion del aplicador de polvo, conectadas entre sí para girar en forma conjunta. Una disposicion para aplicar compuesto de rellenoy polvoabsorbente d e agua que incluye dicho aplicador.
