Abstract

Una coquilla enfriada por líquido para la colada continua de lingotes delgados para desbaste presenta un cuerpo de coquilla conformador constituidode un material de elevada conductibilidad térmica, como ser cobre o aleacion de cobre. Elcuer po de coquilla está constituido preferentemente de en cadacaso dos paredes más anchas (1) mutuamente opuestas y dos caras más angostas, las cuales delimitan el ancho del lingote de colada continua, conformando lasparedes más anchas (1) unazona inf undibuliforme (2) de entrada de colada. El contorno abovedado de la pared interior de una parte de la zonainfundibuliforme (2) de una pared más ancha (1) tiene puntos de pared A, B, C, D, E. Para evitar la formacion de fisuras en laszonas (5) de las paredes(1) solicitadas térmica y mecánicamente en forma más intensa, se ha dispuesto particularmente en la zona del nivel del bano fundido, zonas deenfriamiento con mayor flujo térmico por unidad de superficie.
