Abstract

Se proponen estructuras de películas adecuadas para empacar alimentos perecederos, las que comprenden cuando menos una capa de película, que a su vezcomprende una mezcla de cuando menos un polímero de etileno lineal o sustancialmente linealhomogéneo, y cuando menos un polímero de polipropileno,en donde la estructura de película se caracteriza por tener un modulo secante al 2 por ciento que es cuando menos el 8 por ciento mayor que una estructura depelícula comparable preparad a sinel polímero de polipropileno, una velocidad de transmision de oxígeno de cuando menos 700cc (a las STP)-milésima/100 pulg2-día-atmosfera (0.027 cc (a las STP)-cm/cm2-día-MPa) a 25*C. Las estructuras de película de la invencion exhiben un equilibrio optimizado de propiedades,haciéndolas especialmente utiles en paquetes de atmosfera modificada para artículos perecederos. Las películas de la invencion son particularmenteadecuadas para el empaque de frutas frescas, verduras y otrosar tículos perecederos que se beneficiarían de un acceso controlado al oxígeno medio-ambiental.
