Abstract
Un método para forrar un cano exterior 2 que puede ser de metal ferroso, con un cano de forro 4b de polietileno de enlace cruzado, provistoinicialmente como cano de forro precursor 4a. El cano de forro precursor 4a se obtiene formando un cano inicial de material plástico de polietileno de enlacecruzado que tiene un diámetro externo igual que el diámetro interno del cano exterior 2. Luego, el cano inicial se tira a través de una matriz para formarel cano de forro precursor 4a que tiene un diámetro externo menor que el diámetro interno del cano exterior 2. El polietileno que forma el cano de forroprecursor 4a es material plástico con memoria que conserva una memoria de dicho diámetro externo inicial a cuya medida de diámetro externo se expandeautomáticamente el cano precursor 4a cuando el polietileno se funde. El cano de forro precursor 4a se inserta en el cano exterior 2 y el polietileno sefunde haciendo pasar a través del cano de forro, un quemador 60 agas combustible al que se suministra aire de combustion a través de una manguera 58por medio de la cual se remolca el quemador. Los productos de combustion calientes funden el polietileno haciendo que el cano de forro precursor 4a seexpanda automáticamente dentro del cano de forro 4b donde es sostenido hasta que el polietileno solidifica al enfriarse por presion de gas de un valorpredeterminado, dentro del cano de forro4b. Dicha presion de gas deriva de la presion de los productos de combustion gaseosos, siendo aumentada dicha presionpor la presion del aire adicional suministrado al interior del cano de forro precursor 4a.
