Abstract
Para seguir e inspeccionar un borde común (13) entre dos placas de metal (6, 7) las cuales serán soldadas juntas, un patrón de líneas (59 es proyectadoa través del borde (13) por un proyecto (2) y es retratado por una cámara (3). La imagen capturada es analizada para derivar del rastro de las líneasinformación sobre la brecha entre las placas, o del surco del borde. El patrón proyectado tiene varias líneas con diferentes intensidades de luz. Cuando laimagen fotografiada es procesada, es luego posible, aún si hay variación en las características reflectivas de las placas metálicas, seleccionar una línea lacual no sea ni demasiado débil o brillante en la imagen obtenida y la cual pueda por consiguiente ser usada para un análisis significativo.
