Abstract
Un sistema de encendido de alta potencia para motores de combustión interna con un circuito de detección para detectar y medir la ionización en unaseparación de los electrodos de una bujía. El circuito de detección utiliza una segunda fuente de alimentación de doble propósito para aplicar la tensiónnecesaria para generar un arco de corriente alta y luego una corriente de ionización. Un procesador de senales analiza una senal de ionización creadapor el circuito de detección para obtenerdatos del sistema de encendido útiles tales como fallas de encendido del motor, duración de la combustión,pistoneo del motor, relación aproximada aire/combustible, indicaciones de ingresado de la bujía y preencendido.
