Abstract

Los catalizadores complejos de cianuro dimetálico (DMC) altamente activos los cuales, a diferencia de otros catalizadores de DMC altamente activos, sonsubstancialmente cristalinos, comprenden un compuesto de DMC; un agente de acomplejamientoo rgánico, y una sal metálica, en donde el catalizador contienemenos de aproximadamente 0.2 moles de la sal metálica por mol de compuesto de DMC. Los catalizadores pueden formarse mediante la reacción de solucionesacuosas de una sal metálica y unasa l de cianuro metálico en la presencia de un agente de acomplejamiento orgánico, en donde la sal metálica se utiliza en unacantidad excesiva de menos de 100% de exceso estequiométrico en relación a la cantidad de sal de cianuro metálico. Demanera a lternativa, la solución acuosapuede hacerse reaccionar con la sal metálica en exceso para formar un precipitado de catalizador y después se enjuaga el precipitado con agua y elagente de acomplejamiento para producir el producto decatalizad or. Los polioles de poliéter elaborados a partir de los catalizadores tienen bajainsaturación y son útiles para elaborar muchos tipos de productos de poliuretano.
