Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a partículas finamente divididas de compuestos que proveen propiedades de retardo de llama y/o de supresión de humopara fibras, textiles, artículos poliméricos, papel, pintura, recubrimiento y aislaciones. Más particularmente, la presente invención se refiere a partículasde tamano coloidal de sales hidratadas, fosfatos orgánicos, boratos metálicos, poliamidas, retardadores de llama halogenados sólidos con puntos de fusiónsuperiores a 250°C, compuestos de molibdeno, metalocenos, compuestos de antimonio, compuestos de zinc, compuestos de bismuto y otros productos químicossólidos que actúan como retardadores de llama o supresores de humo. La presente invención se refiere también a varios procedimientos de molienda para reducirestos materiales y tamanos coloidales y para dispersarlos en agua, en líquidos orgánicos y en sólidos fluibles.
