Abstract

【課題】蓄電デバイスに適用した際の信頼性を向上させることができる集電体等を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明の一態様によれば、被膜付き集電体であって、基材と、基材の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜と、を備え、基材は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含み、被膜は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含み、当該重合体は、主鎖としてエチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える、被膜付き集電体が提供される。

Description

被膜付き集電体、電極及び蓄電デバイス
 本発明は、被膜付き集電体、電極及び蓄電デバイスに関する。
 従来、各種二次電池や、電気化学キャパシタ等の蓄電デバイスが開発されてきている。これに関連して、特許文献1には、リチウムイオン二次電池に有用な負極材料が示されている。また、特許文献2には、蓄電デバイスの正極又は負極に用いられる電極用集電体として、所定の構成を有するアルミニウム箔が示されている。

 アルミニウムは入手容易性が高く、優れた加工性を有することから、集電体への用途展開がしやすい材料と考えられる。しかしながら、本発明者等が検討したところ、アルミニウムを用いた集電体を蓄電デバイスに適用するにあたっての信頼性について、依然として改善余地があることがわかってきた。
 本発明では上記事情に鑑み、蓄電デバイスに適用した際の信頼性を向上させることができる集電体等を提供することとした。
 本発明の一態様によれば、被膜付き集電体であって、基材と、基材の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜と、を備え、基材は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含み、被膜は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含み、当該重合体は、主鎖としてエチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える、被膜付き集電体が提供される。
 上記態様によれば、蓄電デバイスに適用した際の信頼性を向上させることができる集電体等が提供される。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について説明する。なお、以下に示す実施形態中で示した各種特徴事項は、互いに組み合わせ可能である。また、本明細書中の「~」はとくに断りがなければ、以上から以下を表す。また、(メタ)アクリル酸は、メタクリル酸とアクリル酸を総称する(メタクリル酸又はアクリル酸であることを称する)表現である。
 すなわち、本実施形態の被膜付き集電体は以下に示されるものである。
 被膜付き集電体であって、
 基材と、前記基材の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜と、を備え、
 前記基材は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含み、
 前記被膜は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含み、
  当該重合体は、主鎖として前記エチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える、被膜付き集電体。
 このような被膜付き集電体の概要や用途について以下に説明する。図1は、本実施形態の被膜付き集電体の一例を示す断面図である。図2は、本実施形態の電極の一例を示す断面図である。図3は、本実施形態の電極の他の例を示す断面図である。なお、これらの図は模式的に各層の関係を示すものである。したがって、各層の厚みの比はこれらの図に示されるものに制限されない。
 図1に示されるように、本実施形態の被膜付き集電体100は、基材1と、基材1の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜2と、を備える。典型的な態様において、基材1と被膜2とは、図1に示されるように互いに接する領域を有するように積層されている。
 このような被膜付き集電体100は、好適には蓄電デバイスの電極を構成する部材として用いられる。図2に示される電極200は、前述した被膜付き集電体100に加え、被膜2の基材1が存在する側とは反対側に設けられた、活物質層3と、を備えるものである。すなわち、本実施形態の蓄電デバイスは、被膜付き集電体100より形成される電極を備え得る。なお、被膜付き集電体や電極の形状はこれらには限られない。例えば、図3に示す電極300のように、基材1の両方の面に対して、被膜(2A、2B)や活物質層(3A、3B)が設けられてもよい。なお、図3に示されるような基材1の両面に被膜等が設けられる場合、双方の被膜や活物質層が同組成であってよい。反面、なお、図3に示されるような基材1の両面に被膜等が設けられる場合、双方の被膜や活物質層が異なる組成であってよい。
 なお、電極200や電極300が適用される蓄電デバイスは公知のデバイスの中から適宜選択されてよい。例えば、本実施形態の電極が適用される蓄電デバイスは、二次電池(リチウム二次電池やナトリウム二次電池)やキャパシタであってよい。また、電極200や電極300は、上述の蓄電デバイスにおける正極を構成してもよく、一方で、電極200や電極300は、上述の蓄電デバイスにおける負極を構成してもよい。一例として、蓄電デバイスがコイン型の二次電池である態様に基づいて説明すれば、コイン型の外装缶の中に正極、負極、必要に応じてセパレータを挿入し、これに電解液を入れて封入することによりコイン型の二次電池を得ることができる。前述の電極200や電極300は、このような二次電池の構成材料とすることができる。もっとも、蓄電デバイスの形状はこれに限られず、円筒型、シート型等の公知の形状であってよい。
 本実施形態の被膜付き集電体や電極を構成する要素について以下詳細を述べる。
[基材1]
 本実施形態における基材1は、集電体の基材として機能するものである。ここで、基材1はアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含む、という特徴を有する。アルミニウムは加工性が高いことから、蓄電デバイスを構成する材料として有望である。
 なお基材1は、シートや箔等の形状であり得る。ここでのシートや箔は多孔質体でもよい。基材1の平均厚みは、適用される蓄電デバイスの内容によって適宜設定することができるが、一例としては、1~500μmの範囲であってよく、3~400μmの範囲であってよく、5~300μmの範囲であってよい。なお、本明細書における「平均厚み」は、所定の部材(ここでは基材1)にについて任意の箇所20箇所のそれぞれについて測定した際の厚みの平均値を示すものである。
 なお、基材1としてアルミニウム合金を用いる場合における、アルミニウムと組み合わされる金属は適宜設定されてよい。一例として、組み合わされる金属は銅、マンガン、鉄等であってよい。すなわち、本実施形態の基材1として用いられるアルミニウム合金は、例えば、Al-Cu合金、Al-Mn合金、Al-Mn-Cu合金、Al-Fe-Cu合金等であってよい。
[被膜2]
 本実施形態において、被膜2は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含む。ここで、当該重合体は、主鎖として前記エチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える。
 すなわち、基材1として用いられるアルミニウムやアルミニウム合金は工業上有利な材料であると考えられる一方で、本発明者等は以下のような課題があることがわかってきた。すなわち、アルミニウム等を含む集電体を使用している過程において、アルミニウムが酸化(イオン化)され、これによって集電体としての欠陥が生じ得る懸念があることがわかってきた。これに対し、本実施形態の被膜2においては、アルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する重合体が適用される。これにより、前述した欠陥の発生を抑制し、ひいては蓄電デバイスに適用した際の信頼性向上に寄与することができると考えられる。
 なお、被膜2に用いられる重合体は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された構造を有する。典型的な態様において、上記した重合体は以下の構造単位(I)を有するものである。
 構造単位(I)において、各符号は以下に示されるものである。R及びRは、それぞれ独立して水素原子又は炭素原子数1~5のアルキル基である。また、R及びRは、互いに連結することにより、重合体の主鎖を含めた環構造を形成してもよい。ここでの環構造は4~8員環であってよい。Y及びYは、それぞれ独立して単結合または炭素原子数1~3のアルキレン基である。Rは水素原子、炭素原子数1~5のアルキル基及びアルミニウムへの配位能を有する官能基からなる群から選択される基である。FGはアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基である。nは重合体における構造単位(I)の繰り返し数である。このnの数値については特に制限はないが、下限値としては、例えば50以上であってよく、70以上であってよい。また、nについての上限値も特に制限はないが、例えば20000以下であってよく、18000以下であってよい。
 なお、重合体に備えられるアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基は種々の官能基であってよいが、典型的な例ではヘテロ原子を含む官能基である。より具体的な例を挙げればアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基は、カルボキシル基、水酸基、水硫基、スルホン酸基、リン酸基、ホスホン酸基及びアミノ基からなる群から選択されてよい。なお、ここでのアミノ基は1級アミノ基であっても2級アミノ基であってもよい。また、Rとしてアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基が採用される場合、Rの官能基はFGとして採用される官能基と同じであっても、異なるものであってよい。
 上記の中でも、重合体としての入手容易性が向上する観点で、アルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基は、カルボキシル基又は水酸基であることが好ましい。カルボキシル基を備える重合体としては、(メタ)アクリル酸の重合体が挙げられる。また、カルボキシル基を2つ備える重合体として、マレイン酸やフマル酸の重合体を、被膜2を構成する重合体として用いてもよい。なお、水酸基を備える重合体としてはビニルアルコールの重合体(ポリビニルアルコール;PVA)等が例示される。なお、上述の重合体の分子量は適宜設定することができる。一例として、重合体の粘度平均分子量Mvは5万から150万の範囲であってよい。
 なお、重合体は前述した構造単位(I)に該当しない構造単位を有してもよい。換言すれば、被膜2に含まれる重合体は、少なくとも構造単位(I)を含む重合体であればよく、必ずしもホモポリマーでなくてもよい。重合体がコポリマーである場合の、他の単量体は、エチレン、プロピレン、シクロヘキセン、ノルボルネン等、ポリマーを構成し得るモノマーの中から適宜選択される。
 重合体において、全構造単位における構造単位(I)の占める割合は適宜設定することができる。一方、アルミニウムイオンへの配位効果を高める観点からは、重合体の全構造単位における構造単位(I)の占める割合は50モル%以上であることが好ましく、60モル%以上であることがより好ましく、70モル%以上であることがさらに好ましく、80モル%以上であることが特に好ましく、90モル%以上であることが殊更に好ましい。なお、重合体の全構造単位における構造単位(I)の占める割合は100モル%(すなわち、重合体の全構造単位が構造単位(I)に相当する)であってもよい。
 また、被膜2は前述の重合体に該当しない他の重合体が含まれていてもよい。この他の重合体は、被膜2としての機能を発揮する目的に逸脱しない範囲で適宜設定することができる。例えば、被膜2は、他の重合体として、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂、ポリアミド樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル樹脂、ポリエーテル樹脂、アクリル樹脂、メラミン樹脂、ビニル樹脂、フェノール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、尿素樹脂、酢酸ビニル樹脂、ポリブタジエン樹脂、塩化ビニル酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂、フッ素樹脂(ポリフッ化ビニリデン等を包含する)、シリコン樹脂、ロジン、ロジンエステル、塩素化ポリオレフィン樹脂、変性塩素化ポリオレフィン樹脂、塩素化ポリウレタン樹脂、セルロース系樹脂等を含んでもよい。
 なお、被膜2は、前述した重合体以外の材料を含んでもよい。例示的な態様において、被膜2は、さらに導電材料を含んでもよい。このような態様を採用することにより、電極を作製した際に、基材1と活物質層3との間の導通を行いやすくなり、より信頼性の高い部材を提供することができる。
 なお、導電材料は公知の材料の中から選択されればよく、無機材料でも有機材料であってもよい。例示的な態様において、導電材料は、カーボンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、カーボンナノチューブ、グラフェン及びアセチレンブラックからなる群から選択される1以上を含んでよい。これらの材料は入手容易性も高く、導電性にも優れることから、被膜2を構成する材料として好適である。
 被膜2として導電材料を含ませる場合、導電材料の含有量は、導電材料の物性等に応じて適宜設定される。一例として、被膜2全体の質量(固形分換算)を100質量部としたときに、導電材料の含有量は30~70質量部の範囲であってよく、35~65質量部の範囲であってよく、40~60質量部の範囲であってよい。また、導電材料の含有量の値は上記範囲よりも小さくてもよい。一例として、被膜2全体の質量(固形分換算)を100質量部としたときに、導電材料の含有量は1~50質量部の範囲であってよい。また、導電材料の含有量の値は上記範囲よりも大きくてもよい。一例として、被膜2全体の質量(固形分換算)を100質量部としたときに、導電材料の含有量は50~99質量部の範囲であってよい。
 その他、被膜2は、被膜としての物性を向上させるための任意の添加剤等を含んでもよい。
 被膜2の厚みは適用される蓄電デバイスの内容によって適宜設定することができるが、典型的には薄い膜厚に設定することが好ましい。このようにすることで、後述する活物質層3の設計自由度が増すため、結果として蓄電デバイスとしての容量の向上に寄与することができる。一例として、被膜2の平均厚みは5μm未満であることが好ましく、3μm未満であることがより好ましく、2μm未満であることがさらに好ましい。なお、被膜2の厚みの下限値はとくに制限されないが、一例としては0.5μm以上である。
[活物質層3]
 活物質層3の種類は、電極200等を正極として用いるか、負極として用いるか等の要件に応じて適宜設定することができる。また、活物質層3の厚みも、その内容によって適宜設定可能である。典型的な例では、活物質層3の平均厚みは100μm~1mmの範囲で設定されるが、これらに制限されず、任意の厚みを設定すればよい。
 電極200等を正極として用いる場合を例に挙げると、活物質層3には正極活物質とバインダー樹脂とを含み得る。正極活物質としては、例えば、金属酸リチウム化合物が挙げられる。具体的には、コバルト酸リチウム(LiCoO)、ニッケル酸リチウム(LiNiO)、マンガン酸リチウム(LiMn)、オリビン型リン酸鉄リチウム(LiFePO)等が例示される。もちろん、正極活物質はこれらに限られず、蓄電デバイスに関する分野において適用される種々の正極活物質を採用することができる。
 また、電極200等を負極として用いる場合を例に挙げると、活物質層3には負極活物質とバインダー樹脂とを含み得る。負極活物質としては、例えば、リチウムや、グラファイト、グラフェン、ハードカーボン、アセチレンブラック等の炭素材料;LiTi12等のリチウムチタン酸化物;TiNb等のチタンニオブ酸化物等が挙げられる。もちろん、負極活物質はこれらに限られず、蓄電デバイスに関する分野において適用される種々の負極活物質を採用することができる。
 活物質層3に用いることのできるバインダー樹脂としては、例えば、ポリアクリル酸、ポリアクリル酸リチウム、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン-ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体、スチレンブタジエンゴム、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルアセタール、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリエチレングリコール、カルボキシメチルセルロース、ポリアクリルニトリル、ポリイミド等の蓄電デバイスに関する分野において広く使用されるバインダーを使用することができる。なお、活物質層3においても、被膜2に含まれる重合体と同様の重合体が含まれていてもよい。
 なお、活物質層3は、前述した材料以外に導電助剤や各種添加剤を含んでよい。配合量についても任意である。
[被膜付き集電体/電極の製造方法]
 続いて、本実施形態の被膜付き集電体及び電極の製造方法の例について説明する。
 本実施形態の被膜付き集電体は典型的には以下の方法により製造される。
(工程11)基材1を準備する
(工程12)基材1の少なくとも一方の面に被膜2を形成する
 (工程11)については、前述したアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を有する基材1(集電体)を用意すればよい。続いて、(工程12)において、準備した基材1の少なくとも一方の面に被膜2を形成する。
 この被膜2の形成は、例えば前述した重合体を含む溶液(又はスラリー)を用意し、基材1の面に塗布・乾燥することで行われる。ここでの塗布方法は、公知の手法の中から適宜選択すればよい。塗布方法としては、例えば、ディップコート法、スプレーコート法、ロールコート法、ドクターブレード法、グラビアコート法、スクリーン印刷法、キャスティング法等が挙げられる。
 なお、重合体を含む溶液について、溶媒は重合体等の原料が溶解ないし分散する溶媒の中から適宜選択すればよい。ここでの溶媒は、水であっても有機溶媒であってもよく、水と有機溶媒の混合物であってもよい。有機溶媒の具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、1‐プロパノール、2‐プロパノール等のアルコール;1‐メチル‐2ピロリドン、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド、N,N‐ジメチルホルムアミド等のアミド系溶剤;アセトン、2-ブタノン、シクロヘキサノン等のケトン系溶剤等が例示される。
 また、乾燥方法についても適宜設定すればよく、例えば、室温~各溶媒の沸点に近い温度の雰囲気下にて、減圧又は常圧で、自然に乾燥させる又は風乾させる方法が挙げられる。
 以上の工程を行うことにより、被膜付き集電体(被膜付き集電体100)を得ることができる。
 また、本実施形態の電極は典型的には以下の方法により製造される。
(工程21)被膜付き集電体100を準備する
(工程22)被膜付き集電体100の、被膜2の基材1が存在する側とは反対側に活物質層3を形成する
 (工程21)については、(工程12)として示した手法にて被膜付き集電体100を用意すればよい。続いて、(工程22)において、被膜2上に活物質層3を形成する。ここでの活物質層3は、所定の活物質(正極活物質や負極活物質)を含む溶液やスラリーを被膜2上に塗布・乾燥することで形成することができる。溶液として用いることのできる溶媒や、塗布方法、乾燥方法については、(工程12)として示したものと同様のものを採用することができる。
 以上のようにして、所定の電極(電極200等)を得ることができる。なお、被膜付き集電体や電極において、基材1の両面に対して被膜や活物質層を設ける場合においては、前述した処理を、基材1の両面に対して施せばよい。
 さらに、次に記載の各態様で提供されてもよい。
(1)被膜付き集電体であって、基材と、前記基材の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜と、を備え、前記基材は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含み、前記被膜は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含み、当該重合体は、主鎖として前記エチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える、被膜付き集電体。
(2)上記(1)に記載の被膜付き集電体において、前記被膜は、さらに導電材料を含む、被膜付き集電体。
(3)上記(2)に記載の被膜付き集電体において、前記導電材料は、カーボンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、カーボンナノチューブ、グラフェン及びアセチレンブラックからなる群から選択される1以上を含む、被膜付き集電体。
(4)上記(1)ないし(3)のいずれか1つに記載の被膜付き集電体において、アルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する前記官能基は、カルボキシル基、水酸基、水硫基、スルホン酸基、リン酸基、ホスホン酸基及びアミノ基からなる群から選択される、被膜付き集電体。
(5)上記(1)ないし(4)のいずれか1つに記載の被膜付き集電体において、前記重合体は、(メタ)アクリル酸の重合体である、被膜付き集電体。
(6)上記(1)ないし(5)のいずれか1つに記載の被膜付き集電体において、前記被膜の平均厚みは5μm未満である、被膜付き集電体。
(7)電極であって、上記(1)ないし(6)のいずれか1つに記載の被膜付き集電体と、前記被膜の前記基材が存在する側とは反対側に設けられた、活物質層と、を備える、電極。
(8)蓄電デバイスであって、上記(7)に記載の電極を備える、蓄電デバイス。
 もちろん、この限りではない。
 以下、実施例および比較例により、本発明をさらに詳しく説明する。なお、本発明は以下の実施例により制限されるものではない。
[被膜付き集電体1の作製]
 まず、被膜を形成するためのスラリーを、ポリアクリル酸(シグマアルドリッチ社製;粘度平均分子量Mv:450,000以下)、カーボンブラック(デンカ社、商品名DENKA BLACK Li-400)、N-メチル-2-ピロリドン(シグマアルドリッチ社製、溶媒)を1:1:10の重量比で混合することで得た。
 一方、厚みが15~20μmの渕川金属事務所社製アルミニウム箔を基材として用い、上述のスラリーを10μmのドクターブレードでコーティングし、80℃で30分乾燥させた後、ロールプレスすることで、平均厚みが2μmの被膜を基材上に積層させた。この被膜が基材上に積層された集電体を被膜付き集電体1として得た。
[被膜付き集電体2の作製]
 [被膜付き集電体1]におけるバインダー樹脂(ポリアクリル酸)を、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(クレハ社製、商品名KFポリマーW#1300)に変更する以外は、[被膜付き集電体1]と同様の条件で被膜付き集電体2を得た。
[酸化耐性試験1]
 得られた被膜付き集電体1、被膜付き集電体2、また、基材として用いたアルミニウム箔(集電体)そのままを用い、酸化耐性を検討した。実験手順は、各種被膜付き集電体、リチウム箔、リチウム箔をそれぞれ作用電極、対極、参照電極とした三電極セルに電解液を注入した後、クロノアンペロメトリーを行った。温度条件60℃で電極電位を3.6Vから5.0V(vs. Li/Li+)まで0.2Vずつ上昇させつつ、各電位で10時間保持した。得られた結果を図4に示す。なお、ここでの電解液は1MのLiTFSIを含む炭酸プロピレン(PC)を用いた。
 図4は、実施例における酸化耐性試験1の結果を表すグラフである。このグラフから理解できるように、ポリアクリル酸をバインダー樹脂とした被膜を形成した被膜付き集電体1(図中PAA)においては、被膜付き集電体2(図中PVdF)、アルミニウム箔(図中Bare)の例以上の高酸化耐性を提供できることが分かった。図4にも推定メカニズムを示したが、ポリアクリル酸の有するカルボキシル基が適切にアルミニウムイオンを捕捉し、このような耐酸化耐性を実現していることが想定される。
[酸化耐性試験2]
 [酸化耐性試験1]と同様の装置を用い、温度条件60℃、電極電位4.6Vで固定した上で、各時間経過後におけるリーク電流密度(Leakage current density)を測定した。図5は、実施例における酸化耐性試験2の結果を表すグラフである。なお、この酸化耐性試験2では、ポリアクリル酸をバインダー樹脂として用いた被膜付き集電体1(図中PAA)と、ポリフッ化ビニリデンをバインダー樹脂として用いた被膜付き集電体2(図中PVdF)に加え、バインダー樹脂としてポリビニルアルコール(富士フィルム和光純薬社製、商品名ポリビニルアルコール(n=1500~1800))を用いた被膜付き集電体3(図中PVA)、バインダー樹脂としてカルボキシメチルセルロース(ダイセルミライズ社製、商品名CMCダイセル2200)を用いた被膜付き集電体4(図中CMC)、バインダー樹脂としてポリアクリロニトリルラテックス(LA133;MSE Supplies社から購入)を用いた被膜付き集電体5(図中LA133)、ポリアリルアミン(PolyAllylamine;ニットーボーメディカル、商品名PAA-05)を用いた被膜付き集電体6(図中Polyallylamine)についても評価を行った。
 この図5の結果から分かるように、バインダー樹脂(重合体)として、カルボキシル基や水酸基のような、側鎖にアルミニウムイオン配位能を有する官能基を備えるバインダー樹脂を用いた際に、高い酸化耐性が発現されることが支持される。とくに、バインダー樹脂としてポリアクリル酸を用いた被膜付き集電体1においては、100時間経過後においても0.2μAcm-2以下のリーク電流密度の値に収まっており、酸化耐性の高さが裏付けられた。
[被膜付き集電体1の元素分布]
 [酸化耐性試験2]において、5時間経過後の被膜付き集電体1の元素分布について測定した。測定機器としては、Hitachi High-Tech Science社製、集束イオンビーム走査電子顕微鏡(SMF2000)を用い、被膜付き集電体の膜厚方向における元素分布を測定した。図6は、被膜付き集電体1の元素分布を測定した結果を示すグラフである。この図6では、元素分布を測定した結果とともに、アルミニウムにより構成される基材と、被膜との位置関係をあわせて図示している。図6に示される通り、アルミニウム元素の存在割合が、集電体表面から被膜の上層に向かうにつれて減少していることがわかる。また、図6に示される通り、集電体表面から被膜の上層に向かって概ね0.5μm程度離れることで、有意な量のアルミニウムが検出されなくなっている。
 以上の実施例の結果から、所定の官能基を備える重合体を被膜として適用することにより、蓄電デバイスに適用した際の信頼性を向上させることができる集電体等を提供可能であることが支持される。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について述べたが、これらは本発明の例示であり、上記以外の様々な構成を採用することができる。また、本発明は上述の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を達成できる範囲での変形、改良等は本発明に含まれる。

Claims (8)

  1.  被膜付き集電体であって、
     基材と、前記基材の少なくとも一方の面に積層された被膜と、を備え、
     前記基材は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金を含み、
     前記被膜は、エチレン性不飽和二重結合を有する単量体が重合された重合体を含み、
      当該重合体は、主鎖として前記エチレン性不飽和二重結合に由来する炭化水素鎖を備え、側鎖にアルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する官能基を備える、被膜付き集電体。
  2.  請求項1に記載の被膜付き集電体において、
     前記被膜は、さらに導電材料を含む、被膜付き集電体。
  3.  請求項2に記載の被膜付き集電体において、
     前記導電材料は、カーボンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、カーボンナノチューブ、グラフェン及びアセチレンブラックからなる群から選択される1以上を含む、被膜付き集電体。
  4.  請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の被膜付き集電体において、
     アルミニウムイオンへの配位能を有する前記官能基は、カルボキシル基、水酸基、水硫基、スルホン酸基、リン酸基、ホスホン酸基及びアミノ基からなる群から選択される、被膜付き集電体。
  5.  請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の被膜付き集電体において、
     前記重合体は、(メタ)アクリル酸の重合体である、被膜付き集電体。
  6.  請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の被膜付き集電体において、
     前記被膜の平均厚みは5μm未満である、被膜付き集電体。
  7.  電極であって、
     請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の被膜付き集電体と、
     前記被膜の前記基材が存在する側とは反対側に設けられた、活物質層と、を備える、電極。
  8.  蓄電デバイスであって、
     請求項7に記載の電極を備える、蓄電デバイス。
