- the term "and/or” is merely a description of the relationship between related objects, indicating that three relationships can exist.
- a and/or B can represent: A existing alone, A and B existing simultaneously, and B existing alone.
- the character "/" in this document generally indicates that the preceding and following related objects have an "or" relationship.
- multiple refers to two or more (including two), similarly, “multiple sets” refers to two or more (including two sets), and “multiple pieces” refers to two or more (including two pieces).
- the front grille is located at the front of the vehicle body and forms the front appearance structure.
- the front grilles currently used in vehicles are basically low-cost plastic parts.
- Plastic parts are generally connected to the front bumper with clips, and the various structures of the front grille are connected with bolts.
- the assembly is simple and the assembly space required is small.
- plastic parts have poor texture and low hardness. If materials with higher hardness and higher cost, such as stainless steel, are used to improve hardness, it will change the structure and appearance of the entire front grille, change the original assembly structure on the plastic parts and add other assembly structures, resulting in lower assembly efficiency and increased installation difficulty. Therefore, the current front grille cannot provide a front grille that is easy to install while maintaining low cost.
- this application provides a front grille assembly 100, which is applied to a vehicle 1000 and connected to the front bumper of the vehicle 1000.
- the front grille assembly 100 of this application not only ensures low cost, but also simplifies assembly and improves the texture.
- the front grille assembly 100 includes a grille body 10, a first mounting structure 20, and a second mounting structure 30.
- the grille body 10 is a metal part and has an outer surface 11 and a connecting surface 12.
- the outer surface 11 is located outside the connecting surface 12, on the outer side of the front of the vehicle 1000.
- the first mounting structure 20 is connected to one side of the connecting surface 12.
- the second mounting structure 30 includes a mounting structure body 30a, which is connected to one side of the connecting surface 12.
- the mounting structure body 30a is a plastic part, and the first mounting structure 20 and the second mounting structure 30 are connected to the front bumper in different directions.
- the grille body 10 can be formed by multiple grilles spaced apart and connected, with a gap between each two grilles.
- the grille body 10 can also be formed by a panel with multiple elongated openings.
- the grille body 10 is the visible area of the vehicle 1000. It is made of metal to form a metal part, thereby improving the texture of the front grille assembly 100 of the vehicle 1000 and improving the smoothness and hardness of the front grille assembly 100 of the vehicle 1000.
- the grille body 10 can be made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, painted iron, steel, etc.
- the metal components used in the grating body 10 possess a certain degree of wear and corrosion resistance, and will not oxidize or corrode when exposed to air or rainwater for extended periods.
- These metal components can be manufactured using methods such as forging and casting. Specifically, forging involves pre-forging the metal material and then applying pressure using a forging press to shape the alloy. Casting involves filling and casting liquid metal into a mold under normal pressure using gravity.
- a connecting surface 12 is formed on the side of the grille body 10 facing away from the vehicle's outer side, for forming the mounting positions of the first mounting structure 20 and the second mounting structure 30.
- the first mounting structure 20 is connected to one side of the connecting surface 12 and directly connected to the grille body 10.
- the first mounting structure 20 is connected to the grille body 10 along a direction intersecting the longitudinal extension direction of the grille, thereby simplifying the structure of the grille body 10, eliminating the need for reserved space and structure for connection with the front bumper, and facilitating installation.
- the first mounting structure 20 can be a plastic part or a metal part. When it is made of different materials, its connection method with the grille body 10 is also specifically different, as detailed below.
- the mounting structure body 30a of the second mounting structure 30 serves as a support structure for the grille body 10. Through subsequent assembly, it connects to the grille body 10, supporting it while simultaneously increasing its structural strength, forming the skeleton structure of the grille body 10.
- the second mounting structure 30 connects to the grille body 10 along its longitudinal extension direction, thus supporting the grille body 10. Since it does not affect the appearance quality of the front grille assembly 100, the mounting structure body 30a is made of plastic. This allows the mounting structure body 30a to retain a plastic mounting structure suitable for mass production. Furthermore, plastic parts are low-cost and easy to install, eliminating the need for recasting the mounting structure body 30a; only the connection between the mounting structure body 30a and the metal parts needs to be considered.
- the front grille assembly 100 of this application assembles the grille body 10 onto the front bumper via the first mounting structure 20 and the second mounting structure 30.
- the first mounting structure 20 and the second mounting structure 30 are connected to the front bumper in different directions, ensuring the stability of the connection between the front grille assembly 100 and the front bumper.
- a composite structure is formed. This structure can ensure the quality and strength of the front grille assembly 100 through the grille body 10, while also making the grille body 10 easy to install and reducing manufacturing costs. It avoids the pain points of high cost and difficult assembly caused by setting the entire front grille assembly 100 as a metal part, and also avoids the pain points of poor quality and low hardness caused by setting the entire front grille assembly 100 as a plastic part.
- the mounting structure body 30a includes a first mounting member 31 and a second mounting member 32, both of which are plastic parts.
- the first mounting member 31 and the second mounting member 32 extend along a first direction L1 and are spaced apart along a second direction L2 .
- the first direction L1 and the second direction L2 intersect.
- the first mounting component 31 and the second mounting component 32 can be made from the same plastic mold, thereby forming a parts library of plastic molds for the first mounting component 31 and the second mounting component 32, thereby improving versatility and reducing costs.
- the first mounting component 31 and the second mounting component 32 can be prepared simultaneously using the same mold.
- the first mounting component 31 and the second mounting component 32 are connected to the grid body 10 at different positions in the second direction L2 , thereby forming a multi-position support.
- the mounting structure body 30a is formed into a first mounting member 31 and a second mounting member 32.
- the first mounting member 31 extends along the first direction L1 to support the grille body 10 along the first direction L1 .
- the second mounting member 32 extends along the first direction L1 to support the grille body 10 along the first direction L1 .
- the first mounting member 31 and the second mounting member 32 are spaced apart along the second direction L2 to provide multi-position support for the grille body 10 along the second direction L2 , thereby improving the support strength of the mounting structure body 30a for the grille body 10.
- the front grille assembly 100 provided in this application after the grille body 10 is made of a metal part with high hardness, further enhances the hardness of the front grille assembly 100 by mounting structure body 30a.
- the second mounting structure 30 includes a second connecting portion 33 and a third connecting portion 34.
- the second connecting portion 33 is disposed on the first mounting member 31, and the first mounting member 31 is connected to the front bumper through the second connecting portion 33.
- the third connecting portion 34 is disposed on the second mounting member 32, and the second mounting member 32 is connected to the front bumper through the third connecting portion 34. Both the second connecting portion 33 and the third connecting portion 34 are metal parts.
- plastic parts and metal parts have different hardness and density. Therefore, if a direct connection between plastic parts and metal parts is required, it may cause stress concentration or connection breakage at the connection position between the first mounting part 31 and the grid body 10. Therefore, in order to ensure the connection strength between the first mounting part 31 and the grid body 10, and between the second mounting part 32 and the grid body 10, a second metal connection part 33 is provided on the first mounting part 31, and a third metal connection part 34 is provided on the second mounting part 32. The connection between the metal and the grid body 10 is achieved through the connection between the second connection part 33 and the grid body 10, and the connection between the third connection part 34 and the grid body 10, thus ensuring strength.
- the first mounting member 31 is connected to the grid body 10 via the second connecting part 33, specifically the second connecting part 33 may be connected to the grid body 10 via laser brazing or fusion welding.
- the second mounting member 32 is connected to the grid body 10 via the third connecting part 34, specifically the third connecting part 34 may be connected to the grid body 10 via laser brazing or fusion welding.
- Laser brazing is a brazing technology that uses a laser as a heat source to heat and melt the brazing filler metal.
- Laser brazing offers advantages such as high automation, high productivity, the ability to achieve automated production, energy saving, and environmental friendliness.
- the welded parts can be positioned and calibrated to improve workpiece accuracy and quality, as well as surface finish and production efficiency.
- Fusion welding refers to the process where the weld joint is brought to a molten state under high temperature or other conditions. For example, after the second connecting part 33 and the connecting surface 12 of the grid body 10 are tightly bonded together, under the influence of temperature field, gravity, etc., without pressure, the molten solutions on the connecting surface 12 of the second connecting part 33 and the grid body 10 will mix. After the temperature drops, the molten portion solidifies, and the connecting surface 12 of the second connecting part 33 and the grid body 10 is firmly welded together, completing the welding method.
- the second connecting part 33 and the grid body 10, as well as the third connecting part 34 and the grid body 10 are connected, which means the first mounting part 31 and the grid body 10, as well as the second mounting part 32 and the grid body 10 are connected.
- the second connecting portion 33 is configured to be embedded during the casting of the first mounting member 31, and/or, the third connecting portion 34 is configured to be embedded during the casting of the second mounting member 32.
- the second connecting portion 33 is already integrated or embedded into the first mounting member 31 during injection molding, thereby ensuring the stability and integrity of the connection between the second connecting portion 33 and the first mounting member 31, making them an inseparable whole without the need for subsequent assembly.
- the second mounting member 32 is similar to the first mounting member 31, and will not be described in detail here.
- the position of the second connecting part 33 on the first mounting part 31 and the position of the third connecting part 34 on the second mounting part 32 are the same.

①对比现有全塑料材质的前格栅,本发明的前格栅总成100金属材质的格栅本体10的质感和硬度提升;
