本開示の端子金具は、
(1)板状をなし、板幅方向に屈曲する形状の端子金具であって、屈曲位置に配置される屈曲部と、前記屈曲部から第1方向に延びる第1接続部と、前記屈曲部から前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に延びる第2接続部と、前記屈曲部の前記第2接続部側の端部から前記屈曲部の板厚方向に突出し、前記第1方向および前記第1方向と反対方向に板面を向けた押圧部と、前記押圧部から前記第1方向に突出し、前記屈曲部側の係合部に対向する変形規制部と、を備える。
上記構成によれば、第2接続部に荷重が加わったときに、変形規制部が屈曲部側の係合部に当たることで、屈曲部の変形を抑えることができる。また、作業者が押圧部を第1方向に押圧することで、端子金具をハウジング等の組付対象に組み付けることができる。
特に、変形規制部が押圧部から第1方向に突出する形状であって、変形規制部および押圧部が一体の突片構造としてコンパクトにまとまるため、構造が複雑になることを回避できる。
上記構成によれば、係合部と屈曲部とが筒状構造を形成しているため、屈曲部の剛性を高めることができる。特に、第2接続部に板厚方向から荷重が加わったときに、垂設部の突出方向の先端が屈曲部の板面に当たることで、屈曲部の変形を抑えることができる。
上記構成によれば、係合部の剛性を高めることができるとともに、構造が複雑になることをより回避できる。
上記構成によれば、箱部の形状に制約を受けることなく係合部を形成できるので、係合部の形状の自由度を高めることができる。例えば、係合部は箱部より低背にして、歩留まりを向上させることができる。
上記構成によれば、第2接続部に板厚方向から荷重が加わったときに、変形規制部が係合部に当たり、屈曲部の変形を抑えることができる。
上記構成によれば、第2接続部に対して板厚方向両側のうちのいずれの側から荷重が加わっても、内部空間に配置された凸部が変形規制部および屈曲部のいずかに当たることができるため、屈曲部の変形をより抑えることができる。なお、内部空間には、凸部の全体が配置されるのみならず、凸部の一部が配置されるだけでも良い。
上記構成によれば、第2接続部に板厚方向から荷重が加わったときに、天井部の変形が変形規制部によって抑えられる。特に、変形規制部が天井部に対して第2方向に長く当たることができるため、天井部と変形規制部との係り代を十分に確保することができる。また、天井部を低背にすることで、歩留まりを向上させることができる。
上記構成によれば、第2接続部に板幅方向から荷重が加わったときに、変形規制部が垂設部および起立部のいずれかの内面に当たることで、屈曲部の変形を抑えることができる。特に、係合部には係止のための専用構造を形成する必要がなく、構造が複雑化することをより回避できる。
本開示の具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。
本開示の実施形態1の端子金具10は、導電性の金属板を曲げ加工等して一体に成形されている。この端子金具10は、図1に示すように、電線80の端末部に接続され、組付対象としてのハウジング60に組み付けられる。なお、以下の説明において、上下方向については、図1および図2の紙面厚み方向手前側と、図3、図4および図5の各図の上側と、を上方とする。前後方向は、図1および図2の左側を前方とする。左右方向は、図3の左側を左方とする。各図において、矢印U、矢印Fおよび矢印Lは、それぞれ、上方、前方および左方を示している。なお、前方は、第1方向と言うこともある。左方は、第2方向と言うこともある。これらの方向は、端子金具10がハウジング60に組み付けられて車両等に搭載された状態における方向とは必ずしも一致しない。また、これらの方向の基準は、後述する実施形態2および実施形態3についても適用される。
ハウジング60は合成樹脂製であって、詳細は図示しないが、平面視L字形をなしている。図1に示すように、ハウジング60は、前後方向に延びる第1キャビティ61と、第1キャビティ61の後端と連通して左右方向に延びる第2キャビティ62と、を有している。第1キャビティ61は、タブ挿通口63を介してハウジング60の前端面に開口している。
端子金具10は、図2に示すように、平面視L字形をなし、板幅方向に屈曲している。端子金具10は、長さ方向途中の屈曲位置に位置する屈曲部11と、屈曲部11から第1方向に延びる第1接続部12と、屈曲部11から第2方向に延びる第2接続部13と、を有している。屈曲部11は、平面視矩形の平板形状をなし、前後方向および左右方向に沿って平坦に形成されている。
変形規制部32は、屈曲部11の上面と対向し、図4に示すように、屈曲部11および押圧部31との間に第1方向に開放された内部空間35を形成している。この内部空間35の左側の端部には、凸部29が前方から進入して配置される。ここで、凸部29の上面は、変形規制部32における左側の端部の下面と接触可能(接触を含む)に対向して配置されている。凸部29の下面は、屈曲部11の上面と接触可能に対向して配置されている。
押圧部31の押圧面33に図示しない指等が当てがわれ、押圧部31が後方から押圧されることで、第1接続部12が第1キャビティ61に挿入される(図1を参照)。同時に、第2接続部13も第2キャビティ62に挿入され、端子金具10がハウジング60に組み付けられる。その後、ハウジング60に図示しないカバーが装着される。これにより、端子金具10は、ハウジング60に抜け止め状態に収容される。
本開示の実施形態2の端子金具10Aは、図6-図9に示すように、屈曲部11および屈曲部11の周辺部分の各形状が実施形態1のものとは異なる。その他は、実施形態1と同様であり、実施形態1と同一または対応する部分には同一符号を付し、適宜に重複する説明を省略する。
本開示の実施形態3の端子金具10Bは、図10-図12に示すように、屈曲部11および屈曲部11の周辺部分の各形状が実施形態1のものとは異なる。その他は、実施形態1と同様であり、実施形態1と同一または相当する部分には同一符号を付し、適宜に重複する説明を省略する。
仮に、第2接続部13に対して上方(基部17の板厚方向の上方)から荷重が加わると、変形規制部32が天井部23の上面(外面)に当たり、変形規制部32の下方への変位が規制され、変形規制部32に連続した屈曲部11の下方への変位も規制される。特に、本実施形態3の場合、変形規制部32が天井部23に対して変形規制部32の左右方向の全幅に亘って当たることができるため、天井部23と変形規制部32との係り代を十分に確保することができる。また、係合部25が箱部14から分離して形成されているため、箱部14の形状に制約を受けることなく係合部25を形成することができる。本実施形態3の場合は、係合部25が箱部14より低背に形成されているので、歩留まりを向上させることができる。
今回開示された上記実施形態1-3はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えるべきである。
上記実施形態1-3の場合、第1方向を前方とし、第2方向を左方として規定していた。これに対し、他の実施形態の場合、第1方向を前方以外の方向とし、第2方向を左方以外の方向で且つ第1方向と交差する方向としても良い。
上記実施形態1-3の場合、第1方向および第2方向は互いに直交していた。これに対し、他の実施形態の場合、第1方向および第2方向は互いに交差していれば直交していなくても良い。
上記実施形態1-3の場合、係合部は、起立部、天井部および垂設部によって形成されていた。これに対し、他の実施形態の場合、係合部は、垂設部を有さず、天井部を屈曲部に隙間なく重ね、屈曲部とともに二重壁を形成する構造であっても良い。
上記実施形態2の場合、変形規制部の左端が垂設部の内面に接触可能に対向して配置されていた。これに対し、他の実施形態の場合、変形規制部の右端が起立部の内面に接触可能に対応して配置されていても良い。あるいは、変形規制部の左右端がそれぞれ垂設部の内面および起立部の内面に接触可能に対向して配置されていても良い。

- 板状をなし、板幅方向に屈曲する形状の端子金具であって、
屈曲位置に配置される屈曲部と、
前記屈曲部から第1方向に延びる第1接続部と、
前記屈曲部から前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に延びる第2接続部と、
前記屈曲部の前記第2接続部側の端部から前記屈曲部の板厚方向に突出し、前記第1方向および前記第1方向と反対方向に板面を向けた押圧部と、
前記押圧部から前記第1方向に突出し、前記屈曲部側の係合部に対向する変形規制部と、を備える、端子金具。 - 前記係合部は、前記屈曲部の前記第1接続部側の端部から前記屈曲部の板厚方向に突出する起立部と、前記起立部の突出方向の先端から前記第2方向に延びる天井部と、前記天井部の前記第2方向の先端から前記屈曲部側に突出する垂設部と、を有し、前記係合部と前記屈曲部とで筒状をなしている、請求項1に記載の端子金具。
