コネクタハウジングと、
前記コネクタハウジングの外面に沿って後方へ延出した形状のロックアームとを備え、
前記コネクタハウジングの外面と前記ロックアームとの間には、前記ロックアームが前記コネクタハウジングの外面に対して接近する方向へ弾性変位することを可能にする撓み許容空間が設けられ、
前記コネクタハウジングには、前記コネクタハウジングの外面から突出して前記ロックアームを後方から覆う覆い部が形成されている。
最初に本開示の実施形態を列記して説明する。
本開示のコネクタは、
(1)コネクタハウジングと、前記コネクタハウジングの外面に沿って後方へ延出した形状のロックアームとを備え、前記コネクタハウジングの外面と前記ロックアームとの間には、前記ロックアームが前記コネクタハウジングの外面に対して接近する方向へ弾性変位することを可能にする撓み許容空間が設けられ、前記コネクタハウジングには、前記コネクタハウジングの外面から突出して前記ロックアームを後方から覆う覆い部が形成されている。本開示の構成によれば、コネクタハウジングの外面とロックアームとの間の撓み許容空間に、異物が噛み込むことを防止できる。覆い部は、ロックアームの外面を覆うのではなく、ロックアームの後方から撓み許容空間を覆うように配置されているので、嵩高にならない。よって、本開示のコネクタによれば、低背化を図りつつ、ロックアームの弾性変位に支障を来すのを防止することができる。
[実施例1]
本開示のコネクタを具体化した実施例1を、図1~図6を参照して説明する。なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。本実施例1において、前後の方向については、図1~3における斜め左上方、図4,5における左方を前方と定義する。上下の方向については、図1~6にあらわれる向きを、そのまま上方、下方と定義する。上下の方向と高さの方向を同義で用いる。左右方向と幅方向を同義で用いる。
本開示のコネクタを具体化した実施例2を、図7を参照して説明する。上記実施例1のコネクタハウジング20が、インナハウジング31とアウタハウジング40を組み付けて構成されていたのに対し、本実施例2のコネクタBは、コネクタハウジング60を単一部品としたものである。コネクタハウジング60には、ロックアーム25と覆い部36が一体に形成されている。その他の構成については上記実施例1と同じであるため、同じ構成については、同一符号を付し、構造、作用及び効果の説明は省略する。
本発明は、上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施例に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示される。本発明には、請求の範囲と均等の意味及び請求の範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれ、下記のような実施形態も含まれることが意図される。
上記実施例では、ロックアームの弾性変位量が最大のときに、操作部の操作面が覆い部の突出端よりも突出方向側に位置するが、操作部の操作面は、覆い部の突出端と同じ高さか、それよりも低い位置にあってもよい。
上記実施例では、突部と覆い部が直接的に繋がっているが、突部と覆い部との間に隙間があってもよい。
上記実施例では、前記ロックアームの後端部を左右方向から挟むように突部が配置されているが、ロックアームの後端部を左右から挟む突部が配置されない構成としてもよい。
上記実施例では、コネクタハウジングの外板部に、撓み許容空間の一部を構成する凹部を形成したが、コネクタハウジングの外板部は、凹部を有しない形状であってもよい。

- コネクタハウジングと、
前記コネクタハウジングの外面に沿って後方へ延出した形状のロックアームとを備え、
前記コネクタハウジングの外面と前記ロックアームとの間には、前記ロックアームが前記コネクタハウジングの外面に対して接近する方向へ弾性変位することを可能にする撓み許容空間が設けられ、
前記コネクタハウジングには、前記コネクタハウジングの外面から突出して前記ロックアームを後方から覆う覆い部が形成されているコネクタ。 - 前記ロックアームの後端部には、操作部が形成され、
前記ロックアームの弾性変位量が最大のときに、前記操作部の操作面が前記覆い部の突出端よりも突出方向側に位置する請求項1に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記コネクタハウジングの外面には、前記ロックアームの後端部を左右方向から挟むように配置された突部が形成されている請求項1又は請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記突部と前記覆い部とが、直接的に繋がっている請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタハウジングの前記外面を構成する外板部には、前記撓み許容空間の一部を構成する凹部が形成されている請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記コネクタハウジングは、端子金具を収容する端子収容室が形成されたインナハウジングと、前記インナハウジングの外面における前記端子収容室の開口部を塞ぐアウタハウジングとを組み付けて構成され、
前記ロックアームが前記アウタハウジングに形成され、
前記覆い部が前記インナハウジングに形成されている請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記インナハウジングは、前記コネクタハウジングの前記外面を構成する外板部と、前記外板部から突出して隣り合う前記端子収容室同士を区画する隔壁部とを有し、
前記アウタハウジングは、前記端子収容室の前記開口部を塞ぐ閉塞板部を有し、
前記ロックアームは、前記外板部の外面に重なり、前記閉塞板部との間で前記インナハウジングを挟むように配置されている請求項6に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記外板部のうち前記ロックアームが重ならない領域は、前記コネクタハウジングの外面に露出している請求項7に記載のコネクタ。
