アルコール(1)195部(1モル部)をアルコール(2:カルコール8665、炭素数16~18の混合アルコール、水酸基価216mgKOH/g、花王株式会社、「カルコール」は同社の登録商標である。}260部(1モル部)に変更したこと、「エチレンオキシド(EO)1056部(24モル部)を2時間かけて滴下」を「エチレンオキシド(EO)2112部(48モル部)を4時間かけて滴下」に変更したこと、「プロピレンオキシド(PO)336部(6モル部)を2時間かけて滴下」を「プロピレンオキシド(PO)672部(12モル部)を4時間かけて滴下」に変更したこと以外、製造例5と同様にして、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B2:炭素数16~18の混合アルコール/EO48モル/PO12モルブロック付加体)を得た。
アルコール(1)260部(1モル部)をアルコール(3:カルコール220-80、炭素数18、22の混合アルコール、水酸基価175mgKOH/g、花王株式会社、「カルコール」は同社の登録商標である。}320部(1モル部)に変更したこと、「エチレンオキシド(EO)1056部(24モル部)を2時間かけて滴下」を「エチレンオキシド(EO)2112部(48モル部)を4時間かけて滴下」に変更したこと、「プロピレンオキシド(PO)336部(6モル部)を2時間かけて滴下」を「プロピレンオキシド(PO)672部(12モル部)を4時間かけて滴下」に変更したこと以外、製造例5と同様にして、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B3:炭素数18、22の混合アルコール/EO48モル/PO12モルブロック付加体)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、製造例5で調製した活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B1)13.3部及び水64.3部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(1)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B1)=75:25)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、製造例6で調製した活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B2)13.3部及び水64.3部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(2)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B2)=75:25)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、製造例6で調製した活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B2)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(3)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B2)=50:50)を得た。
製造例2で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A2)の40%水溶液100部、製造例7で調製した活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B3)13.3部及び水64.3部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(4)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A2:B3)=75:25)を得た。
製造例3で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A3)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B4:ブラウノンEH-11、2-エチルヘキシルアルコール/EO11モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(5)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A3:B4)=50:50)を得た。
製造例4で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A4)の40%水溶液50部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B5:ブラウノンEH-30、2-エチルヘキシルアルコール/EO30モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)60部及び水160部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(6)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A4:B5)=25:75)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B6:ブラウノンEN-1530、オレイルアルコール/EO30モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(7)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B6)=50:50)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B7:ブラウノンCH-340、セチルアルコール/EO40モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(8)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B7)=50:50)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B8:ブラウノンEN-1560、オレイルアルコール/EO60モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(9)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B8)=50:50)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B9:ソフタノール300、炭素数12~14の直鎖型第2級アルコール/EO30モル付加体、株式会社日本触媒、「ソフタノール」は同社の登録商標である。)40部及び水126部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(10)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B9)=50:50)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液50部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B10:ファインサーフNE-100、合成アルコール(炭素数12~13)/EO10モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ファインサーフ」は同社の登録商標である。)60部及び水160部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(11)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B10)=25:75)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B11:ブラウノンL-210、ラウリルアミン/EO10モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)13.3部及び水64.3部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(12)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B11)=75:25)を得た。
製造例1で調製したスチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A1)の40%水溶液100部、活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B11:ブラウノンS-230、ステアリルアミン/EO30モル付加体、青木油脂工業株式会社、「ブラウノン」は同社の登録商標である。)13.3部及び水64.3部を均一混合して、本発明の分散剤(13)(30%水溶液、含有重量比(A1:B11)=75:25)を得た。
特許文献1(特表2011-511142号公報号公報)の実施例の記載に基づいて、比較用の湿潤分散剤(W&D1)を得た。
水30部、評価試料(分散剤)1部及び消泡剤(SNデフォーマー399、サンノプコ株式会社)0.1部を撹拌しながら、酸化チタン(タイペークR-930、石原産業株式会社、「タイペーク」は同社の登録商標である。)70部を徐々に添加し、添加終了からさらに5分間撹拌して、分散スラリーを調製した。ついで分散スラリーを25℃の水槽に15分間静置した後、TVB15粘度計(東機産業株式会社、25℃、60rpm)で粘度を測定した。その後、評価試料0.1部を追加し、5分間混合してから、25℃の水槽に分散スラリーを15分間静置した後、同様に粘度測定するという作業をスラリー粘度が100mPa・s以下になるまで繰り返し、消費した評価試料(分散剤)の合計量から添加量(評価試料の消費量×100/水及び酸化チタンの合計量;%)を算出し、下表に示した。この添加量が小さいほど、分散性が良好であることを意味する。
1.アクリルスチレンエマルションカラーペースト及び塗工試料(1)の調製
カーボンブラック30部(MA-100、三菱ケミカル株式会社)、評価試料(分散剤)35部、水35部及びガラスビーズ(直径2mm)をガラス瓶に入れ、ペイントシェーカーで60分間振とうさせ、カラーペーストを作成した後、カラーペースト20部とアクリルスチレンエマルション80部(アクロナール295DN、BASF社、濃度50重量%、ビ-エ-エスエフ アクチエンゲゼルシヤフト)とを均一混合して水系コーティング組成物(1;アクリルスチレンエマルションカラーペースト)を調製した後、これをガラス板の上に6ミルアプリケータを用いて塗工し、40℃で3時間乾燥させて、塗工試料(1)を調製した。
塗工試料(1)それぞれについて、グロスメータにてグロス値(60°)を測定し、下表に示した。この値が大きいほど、分散性が良好であることを意味する。
塗工試料(1)それぞれについて、25℃の水に2時間浸漬させた後、コーティング膜外観を目視で確認した。その結果、実施例1~13で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料について、水への浸漬前後で変化はなかったが、比較例で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料については、水への浸漬後、コーティング膜が剥離した。
1.アクリルエマルション塗料及び塗工試料(2)の調製
表3に記載した原料組成にて、インペラー型羽根を装着したエクセルオートホモジナイザーを用いて、グラインディング及びレットダウンして、水系コーテイング組成物(2;アクリルエマルション塗料)を調製した。引き続き、水系コーティング組成物(2)をガラス板の上に6ミルアプリケータを用いて塗工し、25℃で24時間乾燥させて、塗工試料(2)を調製した。

1)グロス値による分散性
塗工試料(2)それぞれについて、グロスメータにてグロス値(60°)を測定し、下表に示した。この値が大さいほど、分散性が良好であることを意味する。
水系コーティング組成物(2)を200mLのガラス瓶に180mL入れ、40℃で2週間静置下にて貯蔵した後、外観を目視で確認した。その結果、実施例1~13で調製した分散剤を用いた水系コーテイング組成物は貯蔵前後で変化はなかったが、比較例で調製した分散剤を用いた水系コーテイング組成物は貯蔵後に上層(透明層)と下層とに分離が確認された。
塗工試料(2)それぞれについて、25℃の水に48時間浸漬させた後、コーティング膜外観を目視で確認した。その結果、実施例1~13で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料について、水への浸漬前後で変化はなかったが、比較例で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料については、水への浸漬後コーティング塗膜が剥離した。
1.エポキシエマルション塗料の調製
表5の原料組成にて、インペラー型羽根を装着したエクセルオートホモジナイザー(日本精器株式会社、モデルED)を用いて、グラインディング及びレットダウンしてベースを調製した。
このベース84部と硬化剤(jERキュアWD11M60、変性ポリアミドアミン、三菱ケミカル株式会社、固形分60%、樹脂固形分当たりの活性水素当量540g/eq、「jER」は同社の登録商標である。)16部をインペラー型羽根を装着したエクセルオートホモジナイザーにて15~25℃、2000rpm、5分間混合して水系コーティング組成物(3;エポキシエマルション塗料)を得た。引き続き、水系コーティング組成物(3)をガラス板の上に6ミルアプリケータを用いて塗工し、25℃で24時間乾燥させて、塗工試料(3)を調製した。

塗工試料(3)それぞれについて、グロスメータにてグロス値(60°)を測定し、下表に示した。この値が大さいほど、分散性が良好であることを意味する。
塗工試料(3)それぞれについて、40℃の水に72時間浸漬させた後、コーティング膜外観を目視で確認した。その結果、実施例1~13で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料について、水への浸漬前後で変化はなかったが、比較例で調製した分散剤を用いた塗工試料については、水への浸漬後コーティング膜に膨れが発生した。
Claims (5)
- スチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A)並びに、
アルコール、カルボン酸、アミン及びアミドからなる群より選ばれ少なくとも1種の活性水素化合物(炭素数1~22)のアルキレンオキシド(炭素数2~4;付加モル数10~100モル)付加体(B)からなることを特徴とする分散剤。 - スチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体を構成するスチレン単位(s)とマレイン酸アンモニウム塩単位(m)との構成モル比(s:m)が80:20~40:60である請求項1に記載の分散剤。
- スチレン-マレイン酸アンモニウム塩共重合体(A)とポリオキシアルキレン化合物(B)との含有重量比(A:B)が10:90~90:10である請求項1又は2に記載の分散剤。
- 活性水素化合物のアルキレンオキシド付加体(B)にエチレンオキシド単位が含まれ、エチレンオキシド単位の含有量がアルキレンオキシド単位の全モル数に対して50~100モル%である請求項1又は2に記載の分散剤。
- 水系コーティング剤及び請求項1又は2に記載された分散剤を含有してなることを特徴する水系コーティング組成物。
