Abstract
Description
本願は、2021年8月26日に、日本に出願された特願2021-138080号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
(1)本発明の態様に係るライトユニットの支持構造は、車体を覆う車体カバー(23)と、前記車体カバー(23)に囲まれるライトユニット(31)と、を備え、前記ライトユニット(31)は、灯室(34)を形成するハウジング(35)を備え、前記ハウジング(35)の上壁部(37b1)には、第一壁部側係合部(41)が設けられ、前記車体カバー(23)における前記上壁部(37b1)に対向する部位(25a)には、前記第一壁部側係合部(41)に対して上下方向で突き当て可能な第一カバー側係合部(45)が設けられ、前記ハウジング(35)の下壁部(36b1)には、第二壁部側係合部(51)が設けられ、前記車体カバー(23)における前記下壁部(36b1)に対向する部位(26a)には、前記第二壁部側係合部(51)に対して上下方向で突き当て可能な第二カバー側係合部(55)が設けられる。
本発明の上記(2)に記載のライトユニットの支持構造によれば、上下方向に加えて前後方向でもライトユニットの振れを抑えやすくすることができる。また、上下方向および前後方向の対応により、車両の急発進および急制動にも対応可能とすることができる。
本発明の上記(3)に記載のライトユニットの支持構造によれば、上方側支持構造および下方側支持構造の少なくとも一方と前後方向支持構造とで、互いに各係合部を共用することが可能となり、これらが個別に係合部を備える場合に比べて、構造の簡素化および部品共用化を図ることができる。
本発明の上記(4)に記載のライトユニットの支持構造によれば、車体後部のテールライトユニットの支持構造において、上方側支持構造と後方側支持構造とが互いに係合部を共用し、下方側支持構造と前方側支持構造とが互いに係合部を共用する。すなわち、上方側支持構造と前方側支持構造とが互いに異なる係合部を利用し、下方側支持構造と後方側支持構造とが互いに異なる係合部を利用する。これにより、実質的に二つの当接支持構造を設けるのみで、これら二つの当接支持構造に荷重を分散しながら、ピッチング方向の揺れ(斜め前上方への揺れと斜め後下方への揺れ)を効率よく抑えることができる。
本発明の上記(5)に記載のライトユニットの支持構造によれば、後ろ上がりのリヤボディカバーに適した配置とすることができる。すなわち、テールライトユニット周りではリヤボディカバーの上部が下部よりも後方に延びる態様であり、下方側支持構造は相対的に車両前方側に位置することが好ましい。
図1に示すように、本実施形態は、鞍乗り型車両の一例としての自動二輪車1に適用されている。自動二輪車1の前輪2は、左右一対のフロントフォーク3の下端部に支持されている。左右フロントフォーク3の上部は、ステアリングステム4を介して、車体フレーム5の前端部のヘッドパイプ6に支持されている。ステアリングステム4のトップブリッジ上には、バータイプの操向ハンドル4aが取り付けられている。
左右ピボットフレーム8には、スイングアーム11の前端部が揺動可能に枢支されている。スイングアーム11の後端部には、自動二輪車1の後輪12が支持されている。
図2を併せて参照し、リヤボディカバー23は、シートフレーム9周辺の左右側部を車幅方向外側から覆う左右一対のリヤサイドカバー24と、リヤサイドカバー24の後方で車体後端部を上方から覆うリヤエンドカバー25と、シートフレーム9周辺の下部を下方から覆うリヤロアカバー26と、を備えている。リヤボディカバー23は、車両側面視で全体的に後上がりに傾斜している。
図2~図4を参照し、テールライトユニット31は、搭載車両の存在を後方に知らせるテールライトとして機能する他、搭載車両が制動操作中であることを後方に知らせるブレーキライトとしても機能する。テールライトユニット31は、例えば車両後方を向く発光面31aの輝度を変化させることで、テールライトとブレーキライトとを識別させる。実施形態のテールライトユニット31は、複数のLEDが実装されたLED基板32と、各LEDへの供給電力を制御する制御基板33と、を備えている。LED基板32および制御基板33を含んで、テールライトユニット31の光源装置32Aが構成されている。
ハウジング35は、後面側に光源装置32Aを支持するハウジング本体36と、ハウジング本体36に支持された光源装置32Aの周囲を覆うレンズカバー37と、を備えている。
ハウジング本体36は、光源装置32Aにおける平板状の各基板32,33を、車両前後方向に対して後上がりに傾斜した基準線L1と直交させた姿勢で支持している。
前壁部36aの前面側には、リヤロアカバー26の上面部(内面部)から立ち上がるライト支持腕26cがボルトを用いて固定されている。ライト支持腕26cは、ハウジング本体36に対し、上記ボルトを挿通するゴムブッシュ等を介して、弾性的にフローティング支持されている。
前壁部36aは、灯室34内に給電ハーネス38を案内可能とする作業孔36cを有している。前壁部36aの前面側には、作業孔36cの周縁部から基準線L1に沿って車両前方側に立ち上がる円筒状のカラー部36dが設けられている。カラー部36dには、給電ハーネス38を保持するとともに灯室34内への水の浸入を防止するゴム製の防水キャップ39が取り付けられる。
ハウジング本体36の下部には、周壁部36b下部の凹形状36eとフランジ部36fの下部とにより、後述する第二カバー側係合部55を係止するための第二壁部側係合部51が形成されている。
後壁部37aは、後面が斜め下後方を向いて伏せるよう傾斜している。
周壁部37bは、後壁部37aの外周部の全周に渡って設けられている。周壁部37bは、ハウジング35における灯室34の外側を囲う壁部35aに含まれる。周壁部37bの上部には、後部に対して前部が上方に位置するように変化した段差形状37cが形成されている。
レンズカバー37の上部には、周壁部37b上部の段差形状37cにより、後述する第一カバー側係合部45を係止するための第一壁部側係合部41が形成されている。
レンズカバー37の周壁部37bのうち、車両上方側に位置する上壁部37b1における車両上方側を向く上面側には、第一壁部側係合部41が設けられている。
第一壁部側係合部41は、周壁部37b上部の段差形状37cにおける基準線L1に沿う上方移動規制部42と、段差形状37cにおける基準線L1に直交する後方移動規制部43と、を備えている。第一壁部側係合部41は、車幅方向で予め定めた全幅において、車幅方向で一定の断面形状を有して延びている。
ハウジング本体36の周壁部36bのうち、車両下方側に位置する下壁部36b1における車両下方側を向く下面側には、第二壁部側係合部51が設けられている。
第二壁部側係合部51は、周壁部36b下部の凹形状36eにおける基準線L1に沿う下方移動規制部52と、段差形状37cにおける基準線L1に直交する前方移動規制部53と、を備えている。第二壁部側係合部51は、車幅方向で予め定めた全幅において、車幅方向で一定の断面形状を有して延びている。
次に、実施形態のライトユニット31の支持構造における車両加減速時の作用について説明する。
例えば、自動二輪車1の発進時等、自動二輪車1が所定以上の加速度で走行する場合、自動二輪車1の車体には、車体中央付近の重心位置を中心に、後転方向のピッチングが生じる。このとき、車体後端部のテールライトユニット31には、下方に向けた加速度が作用するとともに、自動二輪車1が加速することによる後方に向けた加速度が作用する。したがって、自動二輪車1の加速時には、図3中矢印F1で示すように、テールライトユニット31に斜め下後方を向く荷重が作用する。
図5は実施形態をより簡素化した変形例を示す。
実施形態では、ハウジング35上部の第一壁部側係合部41および第一カバー側係合部45が、上方側支持構造48および後方側支持構造49を構成する。一方、図5の変形例では、ハウジング35上部の第一壁部側係合部41および第一カバー側係合部45が、上方側支持構造48のみを構成する。すなわち、図5の第一壁部側係合部41は、前後方向の移動を規制する部位(後方移動規制部43)を有さず、上下方向の移動を規制する部位(上方移動規制部42)のみを有する。
実施形態では、各壁部側係合部41,51が凹状、各カバー側係合部45,55が凸状の態様であるが、この変形例では、各壁部側係合部41,51が凸状、各カバー側係合部45,55が凹状の態様である。
これらの変形例の構成は、実施形態の構成と適宜入れ替えたり組み合わせたりしてもよい。
この構成によれば、上下方向に加えて前後方向でもライトユニット31の振れを抑えやすくすることができる。また、上下方向および前後方向の対応により、自動二輪車1の急発進および急制動にも対応可能とすることができる。
また、上方側支持構造48および後方側支持構造49との間、ならびに下方側支持構造58および前方側支持構造59との間で、互いに各係合部41,45および各係合部51,55を共用することが可能となり、これらが個別に係合部を備える場合に比べて、構造の簡素化および部品共用化を図ることができる。
実施形態ではリヤボディカバー23に囲まれたテールライトユニット31に適用したが、フロントボディカバーに囲まれたヘッドライトユニット等、車体カバー(又は車体パネル)に囲まれた各種ライトユニットの支持構造に適用してもよい。
原動機に電気モータを含む車両に適用してもよい。さらに、鞍乗り型車両以外の車両(乗用車、バス、トラック等)に適用してもよい。
実施形態のライトユニットの支持構造は、車両に適用されるものであるが、本発明は車両への適用に限らず、航空機や船舶等の種々輸送機器、ならびに建設機械や産業機械等、様々な乗物や移動体に適用してもよい。さらに、本発明は、乗物以外でもカバーに囲まれたライトユニットを備える機器であれば、例えば手押しの芝刈り機や清掃機等に広く適用可能である。
そして、上記実施形態における構成は本発明の一例であり、実施形態の構成要素を周知の構成要素に置き換える等、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能である。
