- An intermediate material may be interposed between the base material 19 and the discharge member 20 .
- the discharge member 20 is not limited to being fixed to the surface of the base material 19 of the ground electrode 18 facing the center electrode 13 side. As long as the spark gap 21 is formed between the discharge member 20 and the center electrode 13 , the discharge member 20 may be fixed to any surface of the base material 19 . It is of course possible to omit the discharge member 15 of the center electrode 13 .
- the case of bending the base material 19 of the ground electrode 18 joined to the metal shell 17 has been described. However, it is not necessarily limited to this. In this case, the front end side of the metal shell 17 is extended in the axial direction, and a linear base material is joined to the metal shell 17 so that the base material faces the center electrode 13 . The number of ground electrodes 18 is also set appropriately.
- ground electrode 18 is arranged so that the discharge member 20 faces the center electrode 13 in the axial direction.
- positional relationship between the ground electrode 18 and the center electrode 13 can be appropriately set.
- Other positional relationships between the ground electrode 18 and the center electrode 13 include, for example, arranging the ground electrode 18 so that the side surface of the center electrode 13 and the discharge member 20 of the ground electrode 18 face each other.
