図1は、ボルトフィーダ1を示す。なお、詳細は後述するが、図1は、後述するボルトホルダ20がボルトBを保持する状態を示す。ボルトフィーダ1は、抵抗溶接機2に適用されており、抵抗溶接機2に対してボルトBを供給する。抵抗溶接機2は、下部電極3と、上部電極4と、を備える。下部電極3は、定置に固定されたまま移動しない。下部電極3及び上部電極4は、横断面円形状の棒状体であって、上下に延びている。上部電極4は、エアシリンダ機構(図示せず)によって、上下に移動する。抵抗溶接機2は、下部電極3及び上部電極4によりワークW及びボルトBを挟んだ状態において、下部電極3及び上部電極4に電流を流すことによって、ワークWとボルトBとを抵抗溶接する。
ボルトフィーダ1の動作態様について説明する。図1に示すように、ボルトBは、ボルト整列機(図示せず)によって向き(姿勢)を整えられた後、ボルトシュータ5を介して、頭部B2が軸部B1よりも上側となる姿勢で、ボルト受取位置P1(図1の二点鎖線参照)に位置するボルトホルダ20に、送られる。ボルトホルダ20は、ボルト受取位置P1において、ボルトBを、頭部B2が軸部B1よりも上側となる姿勢で受ける。
本実施形態によれば、ボルトBの軸部B1を下部電極3の挿入穴9に挿入する時に、上部電極4の先端から突出したプッシャー部材40によって、ボルトBの頭部B2の頂面B2bにおける突起B3の設けられていない中心部近傍(非突起部)B4が、押される。これにより、突起B3が押し潰されるのを抑制することができるので、突起B3の潰れに起因する溶接不良を低減することができる。
以上、本開示を好適な実施形態により説明してきたが、こうした記述は限定事項ではなく、勿論、種々の改変が可能である。

Claims (2)
- 定置の下部電極及び上下に移動する上部電極によってワークとボルトとを抵抗溶接する抵抗溶接機に対して前記ボルトを供給するボルトフィーダであって、
ボルト送り手段によって送られる前記ボルトを、ボルト受取位置において頭部が軸部よりも上側となる姿勢で受ける保持手段と、
前記ボルトを保持した前記保持手段を、前記ボルト受取位置から前記下部電極と前記上部電極との間の溶接位置に移動させる移動手段と、
前記上部電極よりも小径であって前記上部電極の先端から出没するプッシャー部材と、を備え、
前記ボルトは、前記頭部における前記軸部とは反対側の頂面に突起を有しており、
前記下部電極には、前記上部電極に臨むとともに前記軸部が挿入される挿入穴が設けられており、
前記上部電極の先端から突出した前記プッシャー部材が前記頂面における前記突起の設けられていない部分を押すことによって、前記軸部が前記挿入穴に挿入される、ボルトフィーダ。 - 請求項1に記載のボルトフィーダにおいて、
前記挿入穴に収容され、前記下部電極の先端から出没するガイド部材を備え、
前記ガイド部材は、前記軸部に当接した状態で前記軸部を前記挿入穴に案内する、ボルトフィーダ。
