Abstract
본 발명은 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유, 상기 섬유 표면에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 섬유 복합체 및 상기 섬유 복합체와 인터로킹(interlocking)으로 결합되는 플라스틱 수지를 포함하여, 경량이면서도 기계적 강도가 우수하다.
Description
본 발명은 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 섬유의 플라즈마 처리 및 섬유 상에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성시켜 경량이면서도 고강도를 갖는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체와 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
복합체란 서로 다른 성분 및 물성을 갖는 물질들을 인위적으로 혼합 또는 결합시켜 각각의 물질의 특성을 극대화하거나 단일 물질에서는 발현되지 않는 새로운 특성을 갖도록 만든 소재를 의미한다.
복합체는 기본적으로 강도, 내식성, 피로수명, 내마모성, 내충격성, 경량성 등의 물성이 기존 소재에 비해 월등히 우수하므로 우주항공 분야를 비롯해 스포츠 용품, 선박, 건설, 자동차, 에너지 분야에 이르기까지 다양한 분야에서 각광받고 있는 대표적인 21세기 산업용 소재이다.
복합체는 소재에 걸리는 하중을 담당하는 강화재(reinforced material) 및 강화재와 결합하여 하중을 강화재에 전달하는 모재(matrix)를 기본 구조로 하는 것이 일반적이며, 강화재로는 보통 유리섬유, 탄소 섬유, 아라미드 섬유 등의 다양한 섬유형 강화재가 많이 사용되고, 모재로는 페놀, 에폭시 등을 포함하는 열경화성 수지나 폴리염화비닐(PVC), 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 폴리아미드, 폴리아세탈, 폴리부틸렌테레프탈레이트, 폴리페닐렌설파이드 등을 포함하는 열가소성 수지와 같은 수지(resin)형 모재가 많이 사용된다.
이러한 섬유 강화 플라스틱(Fiber Reinforced Plastic)은 합성 수지와 섬유 강화재를 복합하여, 플라스틱의 내부식성, 성형의 용이성과 같은 장점을 그대로 유지하면서도, 첨가되는 섬유 강화재로 인한 인장 강도, 내충격성, 내열성 등의 장점을 추가로 얻을 수 있는 복합 재료이다.
이와 같은 섬유 강화 플라스틱은 가격이 저렴하고 무게가 가볍기 때문에 여러 가전제품뿐만 아니라, 소형 선박의 선체, 욕조, 정화조 등의 다양한 분야에 사용되고 있으며, 그 사용되는 기술 분야가 점차 증가하고 있는 추세이다.
관련하여, 대한민국 공개특허 제10-2018-0031783호(공개일: 2018년 03월 28일)는 중공 유리 미소구체를 포함하는 폴리올레핀 조성물에 관한 것으로, 폴리올레핀, 중공 유리 미소구체, 극성 반결정질 열가소성 첨가제 및 충격 개질제 또는 상용화제를 포함하는 조성물을 개시하고 있다.
또한, 대한민국 공개특허 제10-2017-0092767호(공개일: 2017년 08월 14일)는 플라즈마 처리를 통한 표면에 개질된 탄소섬유를 구비한 탄소 섬유 강화 폴리머 복합재 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 기존 탄소섬유의 플라즈마 처리를 통해 탄소섬유 표면에 화학적 기능기 및 탄소 결정 구조를 조절하여 고온에서의 플라스틱 모재와의 접착력을 향상시켜 상온 및 고온 기계적 특성과 마모 및 마찰 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 탄소섬유 강화 엔지니어링 플라스틱 복합제와 그 제조 방법을 개시하고 있다.
또한, 미국 공개특허 2014/0309341호(공개일: 2014년 10월 16일)는 사출 성형 부품, 화합물 및 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 섬유, 구체적으로 셀룰로오스계 천염 섬유가 플라스틱에 첨가된 플라스틱의 사출 성형 부품을 개시하고 있다.
그러나, 이러한 플라스틱 복합체 모두는 강도를 향상시키기 위한 것이어서, 자동차 내장에 사용되는 경우와 같이 경량의 플라스틱 제품으로 사용하기에는 무거우며, 가전제품에 사용되는 경우에는 무거운 중량으로 인해 사용자의 신체에 부감을 주고, 전력 소비가 많은 문제가 있다.
따라서, 본 발명은 보강재로 섬유를 포함하고, 상기 섬유에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성하여 경량으로 인해 사용자에게 무게로 인한 부담이 없고 강도가 우수하여 다방면의 플라스틱 제품에 사용될 수 있는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
또한, 본 발명은 경량이면서도 강도가 우수한 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법을 제공하는 것을 다른 목적으로 한다.
본 발명의 목적들은 이상에서 언급한 목적으로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 본 발명의 다른 목적 및 장점들은 하기의 설명에 의해서 이해될 수 있고, 본 발명의 실시예에 의해 보다 분명하게 이해될 것이다. 또한, 본 발명의 목적 및 장점들은 특허 청구 범위에 나타낸 수단 및 그 조합에 의해 실현될 수 있음을 쉽게 알 수 있을 것이다.
상술한 기술적 과제를 해결하기 위해, 본 발명은 보강제인 섬유 표면 상에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드 및 플라스틱 수지를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제공한다.
구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유, 상기 섬유 표면에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 섬유 복합체 및 상기 섬유 복합체와 인터로킹(interlocking)으로 결합되는 플라스틱 수지를 포함한다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유 표면 상에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드는 플라스틱 수지와의 결합력을 향상시키기 위해 형성되며, 상기 섬유와 금속 산화물 나노로드의 결합력을 향상시키기 위해 상기 섬유는 플라즈마 처리된다.
전술한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 포함하여, 경량이면서도 기계적 강도를 향상시킬 수 있다.
이때, 상기 섬유는 라이오셀 섬유, 유리 섬유 및 아라미드 섬유로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상일 수 있고, 상기 금속 산화물은 산화아연 또는 이산화티타늄일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 플라스틱 수지는 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS), 폴리카보네이트(PC) 및 폴리프로필렌(PP)으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상일 수 있다.
상기 섬유 복합체는 상기 플라스틱 수지 복합체 전체 부피에 대해 15 ~ 35 부피%로 포함될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 섬유 표면을 플라즈마로 처리하는 단계, 상기 플라즈마 처리된 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물의 핵을 형성시키는 단계, 상기 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 성장시키는 단계 및 상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 플라스틱 수지와 혼합하는 단계를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법을 제공한다.
이때, 상기 플라즈마 처리는 900 ~ 1100 W의 전력, 40 ~ 60 kHz의 주파수 및 40 ~ 60 sccm의 유속으로 수행될 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물의 핵 형성은 금속 산화물 나노로드가 산화아연인 경우 에탄올 용액과 아세트산 아연을 사용하여 수행될 수 있고, 이산화티타늄인 경우 황산 용액과 테트라부틸 티타네이트(TBT)를 사용하여 수행될 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물의 핵 형성은 50 ~ 70 ℃에서 10 ~ 20분 동안 수행될 수 있다.
상기 나노로드의 형성은 산화아연인 경우에는 질산 아연 수화물 및 헥사메틸렌테트라민을 사용하여 수행될 수 있고, 이산화티타늄인 경우 아세트산 용액과 티타늄 이소프록사이드를 사용하여 수행될 수 있다.
상기 나노로드의 형성은 85 ~ 105 ℃에서 6 ~ 8시간 동안 수행될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 수지와 혼합한 후 글라스 버블을 추가하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
이때, 상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유, 플라스틱 수지 및 글라스 버블 각각은 5 ~ 15 중량%, 60 ~ 80 중량% 및 15 ~ 25 중량%로 포함될 수 있다.
본 발명에 따르면, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 저하되는 강도를 보강하기 위해 강도 보강제로 섬유를 사용하고, 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 성장시켜 플라스틱 수지와 섬유간 접촉 면적을 증가시키고 이에 따라 섬유와 플라스틱 수지 간 결합력을 증가시켜 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 강도를 증가시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 경량이 필요한 플라스틱 부품 소재에 다양하게 적용될 수 있고, 이로 인해 작동 시 무게 저감에 따른 전력 소모량을 줄일 수 있다.
덧붙여, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 사람이 직접 들고 움직이는 상중심 청소기, 드론, 드라이어 등의 제품의 경우 손목 등 사용자의 몸에 가해지는 부하를 줄일 수 있다.
상술한 효과와 더불어 본 발명의 구체적인 효과는 이하 발명을 실시하기 위한 구체적인 사항을 설명하면서 함께 기술한다.

상기 섬유 복합체와 인터로킹으로 결합되는 플라스틱 수지;를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제공한다.
종래에는 플라스틱의 무게를 줄이기 위해 글라스 버블과 같은 여러 가지 첨가제를 사용할 수 있는데, 이때 일반적으로 강도가 저하되는 문제가 발생한다.
강도 보강을 위해 강화재로 섬유를 사용할 수 있으나, 섬유를 단독으로 사용하면 강도 보강 효과가 없는 문제가 있다.
그러나, 본 발명에 따른 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 저하되는 강도를 보강하기 위해 강도 보강제로 섬유를 사용하고, 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 성장시켜 플라스틱 수지와 섬유간 접촉 면적을 증가시키고 이에 따라 섬유와 플라스틱 수지 간 결합력을 증가시켜 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 강도를 증가시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 경량이 필요한 플라스틱 부품 소재에 다양하게 적용될 수 있고, 이로 인해 작동 시 무게 저감에 따른 전력 소모량을 줄일 수 있다.
덧붙여, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 사람이 직접 들고 움직이는 상중심 청소기, 드론, 드라이어 등의 제품의 경우 손목 등 몸에 가해지는 부하를 줄일 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유, 상기 섬유 표면에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 섬유 복합체 및 플라스틱 수지를 포함한다.
상기 섬유는 천연 섬유 또는 인공 섬유일 수 있고, 상기 섬유가 천연 섬유인 경우 라이오셀(Lyocell)이라 칭하는 천연 섬유의 제품명으로 자연에서 추출한 섬유로, 실크처럼 부드러운 감촉, 자연스러운 색깔, 견고한 내구성, 쾌적한 착용감, 고급스러움과 실용감을 동시에 겸비한 신소재 섬유로 다양한 분야에서 최근 각광받고 있다.
본 발명에서 이용되는 라이오셀 섬유는 유칼립투스 나무 펄프를 원재료로 사용하여 흡수성이 뛰어나고 촉감이 부드러워서 아동복, 이너웨어, 침구류에 주로 사용되고 있는 원단으로, 생산 과정이 레이온에 비해 친환경적이고, 폐기 시에도 땅에 묻으면 한달 정도만에 생분해되는 특징을 갖는다.
또한, 라이오셀 섬유는 공정이 유연하고, 고결정성, 침상결정(long crystallites), 고결정배향성, 그리고 비결정 영역의 고배향 등을 가지기 때문에 건식 및 습식 인장강도가 높고 습윤 강도가 높으며, 루프 강도(loop tenacity)가 높다.
따라서, 상기 섬유가 인조 섬유인 경우 유리 섬유 또는 아라미드 섬유 등을 사용할 수 있으나, 플라스틱 수지와의 결합력과 생분해가 가능한 천연 섬유인 점에서 라이오셀 섬유를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 섬유 복합체는 플라스틱 수지와의 결합력을 향상시키기 위해 상기 섬유 표면 상에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성시킬 수 있고, 상기 금속 산화물은 산화아연 또는 이산화티타늄을 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 플라스틱 수지는 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌, 폴리알킬렌 카보네이트 및 폴리우레탄으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 플라스틱 수지 중 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌은 폴리스티렌의 결점 및 AS 수지 또는 내충격성 폴리스티렌의 단점을 보강한 열가소성 수지로서, 폴리스틸렌의 뛰어난 투과성, 가공성, 전기적 특성을 유지하면서 기계적 강도, 내열, 내유, 내후성 등을 개선되고, 가공이 쉬우며 내충격성, 내열성이 강해 가전제품뿐만 아니라 자동차용 내외장재에 금속 대체용으로도 많이 사용되는 이점이 있다.
상기 섬유 복합체는 상기 플라스틱 수지 복합체 전체 부피에 대해 15 ~ 35 부피%로 포함되는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 섬유 복합체가 15 부피% 미만으로 포함되는 경우에는 강도 향상 효과가 미미하고, 35 중량%를 초과하는 경우에는 섬유의 낮은 분산성으로 인해 내부에 결함이 발생할 확률이 높아지는 문제가 있다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유 상에 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성되어 플라스틱 수지와의 인터로킹으로 인해 계면 결합력이 향상되어 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 기계적 강도가 향상될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 섬유 표면을 플라즈마로 처리하는 단계;
상기 플라즈마 처리된 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물의 핵을 형성시키는 단계;
상기 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성시키는 단계; 및
상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 플라스틱 수지와 혼합하는 단계;를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법을 제공한다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법을 나타낸 순서도이다.
도 1을 참고하여 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 섬유 표면을 플라즈마로 처리하는 단계(S100)를 포함한다.
상기 섬유는 라이오셀 섬유, 유리 섬유 및 아라미드 섬유로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상을 사용할 수 있다.
이때, 상기 섬유는 플라즈마 처리를 수행하여 상기 섬유 상에 형성되는 금속 산화물 나노로드와의 결합력을 향상시킬 수 있다.
상기 플라즈마 처리는 900 ~ 1100 W의 전력, 40 ~ 60 kHz의 주파수 및 40 ~ 60 sccm의 유속으로 수행되는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 플라즈마 처리가 전술한 범위를 벗어나는 경우에는 섬유 상에 형성되는 금속 산화물 나노로드와의 결합력이 충분치 않을 수 있고, 섬유가 손상되는 문제가 있다.
다음으로, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 상기 플라즈마 처리된 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물의 핵을 형성시키는 단계(S200)를 포함한다.
이때, 상기 금속 산화물은 산화 아연 또는 이산화티타늄을 사용할 수 있고, 상기 금속 산화물의 핵 형성은 금속 산화물 나노로드가 산화아연인 경우 에탄올 용액과 아세트산 아연을 사용하여 수행될 수 있고, 이산화티타늄인 경우 황산 용액과 테트라부틸 티타네이트(TBT)를 사용하여 수행될 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물의 핵 형성은 50 ~ 70 ℃에서 10 ~ 20분 동안 수행되는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 금속 산화물의 핵 형성시 온도와 시간 범위를 벗어나는 경우에는 상기 섬유 표면 상에 형성되는 금속 산화물 나노로드의 핵 형성이 이루어지지 않는 문제가 있다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 상기 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성시키는 단계(S300)를 포함한다.
상기 섬유 표면 상에 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성됨으로써 섬유와 플라스틱 수지 사이의 결합력을 향상시킬 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물 나노로드의 형성은 산화아연인 경우에는 질산 아연 수화물 및 헥사메틸렌테트라민을 사용하여 수행될 수 있고, 이산화티타늄인 경우 아세트산 용액과 티타늄 이소프록사이드를 사용하여 수행될 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물 나노로드의 형성은 85 ~ 105 ℃에서 6 ~ 8시간 동안 수행되는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 금속 산화물 나노로드의 형성이 전술한 온도 및 시간 범위를 벗어나는 경우에는 금속 산화물이 나노로드 형태로 형성되지 않는 문제가 있다.
본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 수지와 혼합하는 단계(S400)를 포함한다.
이때, 상기 섬유는 상기 섬유 상에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드로 인해 상기 플라스틱 수지와의 인터로킹으로 인해 계면 결합력이 향상되어 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 강도가 향상될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법은 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 플라스틱 수지와 혼합한 후 글라스 버블을 추가하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유, 플라스틱 수지 및 글라스 버블 각각은 5 ~ 15 중량%, 60 ~ 80 중량% 및 15 ~ 25 중량%로 포함되는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 글라스 버블이 15 중량% 미만으로 포함되는 경우에는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 비중이 높아져 경량화 효과가 감소하며, 25 중량%를 초과하는 경우에는 글라스 버블과 수지간의 계면 결합력이 저하되는 부분이 증가하여 인장강도가 저하되고 섬유 함량 저하로 인장강도 보강 효과가 저하되는 문제가 있다.
이하, 실시예를 통하여 본 발명을 좀더 상세하게 설명한다. 이러한 실시예는 본 발명을 좀더 상세하게 설명하기 위하여 예시로 제시한 것에 불과하다. 따라서 본 발명이 이러한 실시예에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
<실시예>
실시예 1: 플라스틱 수지 복합체 제조 1
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 플라스틱 수지 복합체에서 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유 복합체의 제조과정을 나타낸 모식도이다. 하기 설명은 도 2를 참고한다.
1. 섬유 복합체(100)의 제조
1) 섬유의 플라즈마 처리
라이오셀 섬유(110)를 플레이트에 얇게 편 뒤, 1000W 전력, 50kHz 진동수, 50 sccm 유량으로 1분 동안 산소 플라즈마 처리하였으며, 라이오셀 섬유(110)의 반대 면도 동일한 조건으로 플라즈마 처리하였다.
2) 금속 산화물의 핵(120) 형성
에탄올 용액에 아세트산 아연과 NaOH 0.025M을 마그네틱 스티어로 60 ℃에서 투명해질 때까지 교반하여 시드 용액을 제조한 후 시드 용액에 라이오셀 섬유(110)를 60 ℃에서 15분 동안 처리하였다. 처리된 라이오셀 섬유(110)를 120 ℃의 오븐에서 15분 동안 건조시켰다.
3) 금속 산화물 나노로드(121) 성장
질산 아연 수화물 0.01M와 헥사메틸렌테트라민 0.01M을 혼합한 후 시드 용액으로 처리된 라이오셀 섬유(110)에 첨가하여 95 ℃에서 7시간 동안 그로잉 공정을 수행하였다. 라이오셀 섬유(110)에서 적정 길이의 산화아연 나노로드(121)를 성장시키기 위해 2번의 그로잉 공정을 수행하였다.
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유 표면의 주사전자현미경(SEM) 사진으로, 도 3의 (a)는 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유의 주사전자현미경 사진이고, 도 3의 (b)는 도 3의 (a)의 확대사진이다.
2. 플라스틱 수지 복합체 제조
상기에서 제조된 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유(섬유 복합체)를 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS)에 15 부피%로 첨가하여 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조하였다.
실시예 2: 플라스틱 수지 복합체 제조 2
상기 실시예 1에서 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유를 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS)에 22 부피%로 첨가하여 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조한 것을 제외하고는 상기 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조하였다.
실시예 3: 플라스틱 수지 복합체 제조 3
상기 실시예 1에서 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유를 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS)에 35 부피%로 첨가하여 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조한 것을 제외하고는 상기 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조하였다.
실시예 4: 플라스틱 수지 복합체 제조 4
실시예 1에서 제조된 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 라이오셀 섬유 5 ~ 15 중량%, 글라스 버블 15 ~ 25 중량% 및 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS) 60 ~ 80 중량%를 혼합하여 플라스틱 수지 복합체를 제조하였다.
참고예 1
라이오셀 섬유 표면을 실란으로 처리한 후 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌을 22 부피%로 첨가하여 복합 수지를 제조하였다.
비교예 1
2mm 직경의 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌을 사용하였다.
비교예 2
3mm 직경의 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌을 사용하였다.
비교예 3
산화아연 나노로드가 형성되지 않은 라이오셀 섬유와 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌을 78:22의 부피%로 혼합하여 복합 수지를 제조하였다.
하기 표 1은 상기 실시예 1 내지 4 및 비교예 1 내지 3의 구성 물질을 구체적으로 나타낸 것이다.

<실험예>
실험예 1: 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 인장강도 분석
본 발명에 따른 플라스틱 수지 복합체, 참고예 1 및 비교예 1 내지 3에서 제조된 수지의 인장강도를 분석하고, 그 결과를 도 4에 나타내었다.
인장강도는 ASTM D638 방법에 의하여, 테스트 기기인 U.T.M (제조사; Instron, 모델명; 4466)을 이용하여 크로스헤드 스피드(cross head speed)를 200 ㎜/min(1T)으로 당긴 후, 시편이 절단되는 지점을 측정하였다. 인장강도는 다음과 같이 계산하였다:
인장 강도(kgf/㎟) = 로드(load)값(kgf) / 두께(㎜) x 폭(㎜).
도 4에 나타낸 바와 같이, 순수한 라이오셀 섬유의 인장 강도는 각각 23.8 MPa 및 22.5 MPa로 나타났고, 라이오셀이 첨가된 비교예 3의 수지 복합체는 순수한 라이오셀 섬유와 비교하면 인장 강도가 16.3 MPa로 오히려 더 낮아졌다.
또한, 참고예 1의 복합 수지는 실란 처리된 라이오셀 섬유가 첨가된 것으로 순수한 라이오셀 섬유보다 인장강도가 높았으나, 본 발명에 따른 섬유 표면 상에 산화아연 나노로드가 형성된 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 인장강도가 32.9 MPa로 나타나, 순수한 라이오셀 대비 인장강도가 46%로 향상되는 것을 알 수 있다.
따라서, 본 발명에 따른 플라스틱 수지 복합체는 섬유 상에 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성되어 플라스틱 수지와의 인터로킹으로 인해 계면 결합력이 향상되어 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 강도가 향상될 수 있다.
이상과 같이 본 발명에 대해서 예시한 도면을 참조로 하여 설명하였으나, 본 명세서에 개시된 실시 예와 도면에 의해 본 발명이 한정되는 것은 아니며, 본 발명의 기술사상의 범위 내에서 통상의 기술자에 의해 다양한 변형이 이루어질 수 있음은 자명하다. 아울러 앞서 본 발명의 실시 예를 설명하면서 본 발명의 구성에 따른 작용 효과를 명시적으로 기재하여 설명하지 않았을 지라도, 해당 구성에 의해 예측 가능한 효과 또한 인정되어야 함은 당연하다.

Claims (15)
- 섬유 및 상기 섬유 표면에 형성된 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 섬유 복합체; 및상기 섬유 복합체와 인터로킹(interlocking)으로 결합되는 플라스틱 수지;를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 섬유는 라이오셀 섬유, 유리 섬유 및 아라미드 섬유로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상인 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 금속 산화물은 산화아연 또는 이산화티타늄인 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 플라스틱 수지는 아크릴로니트릴 부타디엔 스티렌(ABS), 폴리카보네이트(PC) 및 폴리프로필렌(PP)으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상인 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 섬유 복합체는 상기 플라스틱 수지 복합체 전체 부피에 대해 15 ~ 35 부피%로 포함되는 플라스틱 수지 복합체.
- 섬유 표면을 플라즈마로 처리하는 단계;상기 플라즈마 처리된 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물의 핵을 형성시키는 단계;상기 섬유 표면에 금속 산화물 나노로드를 형성시키는 단계; 및상기 금속 산화물 나노로드가 형성된 섬유를 플라스틱 수지와 혼합하는 단계;를 포함하는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 섬유는 라이오셀 섬유, 유리 섬유 및 아라미드 섬유로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 1종 이상인 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 플라즈마 처리는 900 ~ 1100 W의 전력, 40 ~ 60 kHz의 주파수 및 40 ~ 60 sccm의 유속으로 수행되는 금속 산화물 나노로드를 포함하는 플라스틱 수지 복합체의 제조방법.
