前記シートフレームの側部の乗員側に位置する第1部分と、
前記第1部分に連続し前記シートフレームの側部の乗員側とは反対側に位置する第2部分であって、前記第1部分から前記シートフレームの車両前側に回り込んで、前記第1部分とともに前記シートフレームの側部を挟む第2部分とを有し、
当該サイドエアバッグ装置はさらに、前記第2部分を支持する支持プレートを備え、
前記支持プレートは、
前記第2部分に重なって該第2部分を支持する本体部と、
前記本体部から前記第2部分よりも車両後方に延長された後方延長部であって、前記インフレータのスタッドボルトを貫通させる貫通孔が形成された後方延長部とを有することを特徴とするサイドエアバッグ装置。 - 前記支持プレートの本体部は、前記クッションの第2部分のうち乗員側とは反対側の側面に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートの本体部は、前記クッションの第2部分のうち乗員側の側面に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートの本体部は、車両側方から見て前記クッションの第2部分の上下および前側の縁部を除いた部分に重なっていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートはさらに、前記本体部から前記クッションの第2部分よりも車両前方に延長されさらに回り込んで前記第1部分に重なる前方延長部を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートはさらに、前記本体部と前記前方延長部との境界に形成され、前記クッションの膨張展開時に破断可能な破断部を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートは、複数の高分子繊維を含む延性布材料を加熱圧縮して形成されることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートの本体部は、前記クッションの第2部分と縫製によって結合されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記支持プレートはさらに、前記後方延長部の内部であって前記貫通孔の周囲に配置された金属部を有することを特徴とする請求項7または8に記載のサイドエアバッグ装置。
