前記一般式(1)で表される化合物を含む、前記キャッピング層として用いる有機薄膜は、光の取り出し効率を向上させる観点から、波長450nm~750nmの範囲における屈折率が、1.70以上であることが好ましく、1.85以上であることが特に好ましい。
<例示化合物(1-1)の合成>
反応容器に1,3-ジブロモ-5-クロロベンゼン:12.5g、3-キノリルボロン酸ピナコールエステル:24.8g、炭酸カリウム:19.2g、トルエン:130ml、エタノール:40ml、水:40mlを加え混合後、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0):1.6gを加え、加熱還流下にて一晩撹拌した。放冷後、80℃にて分散洗浄を施し、不溶物を濾過して、濾液を濃縮し粗製物を得た。粗製物をトルエンおよびアセトンにて晶析精製し、析出した固体を採取し、3,3’-(5-クロロ-1,3-フェニレン)ビス-キノリンの白色粉体:12.1g(収率71.34%)を得た。
1H-NMR(CDCl3)で以下の26個の水素のシグナルを検出し、例示化合物(1-1)であることが確認された。

反応容器に3-(4-クロロフェニル)ジベンゾチオフェン:5.0g、3,3’-[5-(4,4,5,5-テトラメチル-1,3,2-ジオキサボロラン-2-イル)-1,3-フェニレン]ジキノリン:7.0g、炭酸カリウム:9.7g、トリス(ジベンジリデンアセトン)ジパラジウム(0):0.7g、トリシクロヘキシルホスフィン:0.9gを仕込み、1,4-ジオキサン/H2O混合溶媒下にて一晩還流撹拌した。放冷後、メタノールを加えて撹拌し、析出固体を採取した。モノクロロベンゼンを用いて100℃にて分散洗浄し、不溶物を濾過して、濾液を濃縮して粗製物を得た。粗製物をモノクロロベンゼンにて晶析精製し、析出した固体を採取し、白色粉体:5.8g(収率64.3%)を得た。

反応容器に5-ブロモ-2-(4-フェナンスレン-9-イル-フェニル)-ピリジン:4.5g、1,3-ビス(キノリン-3-イル)-5-(4,4,5,5-テトラメチル-1,3,2-ジオキサボロラン-2-イル)-ベンゼン:5.5g、炭酸カリウム:2.3g、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0):0.3gを仕込み、トルエン/EtOH/H2O混合溶媒下にて一晩還流撹拌した。放冷後、メタノールを加えて撹拌し、析出固体を採取した。モノクロロベンゼン溶媒を用いて100℃にて分散洗浄し、不溶物を濾過して、濾液を濃縮して粗製物を得た。粗製物をカラムクロマトグラフ(担体:シリカゲル、溶離液:酢酸エチル/ジクロロエタン)によって精製を行うことで、白色粉体:5.3g(収率73.0%)を得た。

反応容器に1,3-ジブロモ-5-クロロベンゼン:20.8g、2-ナフタレンボロン酸:29.1g、炭酸カリウム:31.9g、トルエン:200ml、エタノール:60ml、水:60mlを加え混合後、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0):2.6gを加え、加熱還流下にて一晩撹拌した。放冷後、トルエンで抽出し、得られた有機層に80℃にて分散洗浄を施し、濾液を濃縮し粗製物を得た。粗製物をトルエンおよびアセトンにて晶析精製し、析出した固体を採取し、2,2’-(5-クロロ-1,3-フェニレン)ビス-ナフタレンの白色粉体:24.0g(収率85.5%)を得た。

反応容器に5-ブロモ-2-(4-フェナンスレン-9-イル-フェニル)-ピリジン:5.0g、2-[3,5-ジ(ナフタレン-2-イル)フェニル]-4,4,5,5-テトラメチル-1,3,2-ジオキサボロラン-:6.7g、炭酸カリウム:2.5g、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0):0.4gを仕込み、トルエン/EtOH/H2O混合溶媒下にて一晩還流撹拌した。放冷後、メタノールを加えて撹拌し、析出固体を採取した。モノクロロベンゼンを用いて100℃にて分散洗浄し、不溶物を濾過して、濾液を濃縮して粗製物を得た。粗製物をトルエンにて晶析精製し、析出した固体を採取し、白色粉体:6.7g(収率83.3%)を得た。
1H-NMR(CDCl3)で以下の33個の水素シグナルを検出し、例示化合物(1-39)であることが確認された。
δ(ppm)=9.16(1H),8.81-8.79(1H),8.75-8.73(1H),8.25-8.21(4H),8.18-8.15(1H),8.12-8.11(1H),8.02-7.96(8H),7.93-7.89(5H),7.76(1H),7.72-7.67(4H),7.63-7.61(1H),7.58-7.51(5H).
<例示化合物(1-25)の合成>
反応容器に1-ブロモ-3,5-ジクロロベンゼン:16.0g、4,4,5,5-テトラメチル-2-[4-(9-フェナンスレニル)フェニル]-1,3,2-ジオキサボロラン:28.3g、炭酸カリウム:19.6g、トルエン:200ml、エタノール:60ml、水:60mlを加え混合後、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0):1.6gを加え、加熱還流下にて一晩撹拌した。放冷後、トルエンで抽出し、得られた有機層に80℃にて分散洗浄を施し、濾液を濃縮して粗製物を得た。粗製物をトルエンおよびアセトンにて晶析精製し、析出した固体を採取し、下記式(I-1)で表されるフェナンスレン誘導体の白色固体:21.2g(収率75.0%)を得た。
1H-NMR(CDCl3)で以下の28個の水素のシグナルを検出し、例示化合物(1-25)であることが確認された。
δ(ppm)=8.97(1H),8.83-8.80(1H),8.77-8.75(1H),8.66-8.65(2H),8.33-8.31(2H),8.28-8.26(2H),8.15-8.13(2H),8.06-8.04(1H),8.01-7.99(2H),7.96-7.94(1H),7.90-7.88(2H),7.80-7.76(3H),7.73-7.56(8H).
<例示化合物(1-26)の合成>
実施例22における2-クロロキノリンの代わりに、6-クロロキノリンを用いて、実施例22と同様に合成し、白色粉体:6.5g(収率73.6%)を得た。
1H-NMR(CDCl3)で以下の28個の水素のシグナルを検出し、例示化合物(1-26)であることが確認された。
δ(ppm)=8.97-8.96(2H),8.82-8.80(1H),8.76-8.74(1H),8.29-8.26(4H),8.20-8.16(4H),8.08(3H),8.04-8.02(1H),7.96-7.92(3H),7.77(1H),7.73-7.62(5H),7.60-7.56(1H),7.50-7.46(2H).
前記実施例で得た化合物について、高感度示差走査熱量計(ブルカー・エイエックスエス製、DSC3100SA)によって融点とガラス転移点を測定した。結果を表1にまとめて示した。
前記実施例で得た一般式(1)で表される化合物を用いて、シリコン基板上に膜厚80nmの蒸着膜を作製して、分光測定装置(フィルメトリクス社製、F10-RT-UV)を用いて、波長450nm、750nmにおける屈折率nと消衰係数kを測定した。比較のために、下記構造式の比較化合物(2-1)およびAlq3についても測定した(例えば、特許文献4参照)。本発明の化合物も比較例化合物も、450nm~750nm波長範囲で消衰係数kが0であり、屈折率nの測定結果を表2にまとめて示した。
本発明の化合物をキャッピング層の構成材料として用いて作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
具体的には、膜厚50nmのITO、膜厚100nmの銀合金の反射膜、膜厚5nmのITOを順に成膜したガラス基板1をイソプロピルアルコール中にて超音波洗浄を20分間行った後、250℃に加熱したホットプレート上にて10分間乾燥を行った。その後、UVオゾン処理を2分間行った後、このITO付きガラス基板を真空蒸着機内に取り付け、0.001Pa以下まで減圧した。続いて、透明陽極2を覆うように正孔注入層3として、下記構造式の電子アクセプター(Acceptor-1)と下記構造式の化合物(3-1)を、蒸着速度比がAcceptor-1:化合物(3-1)=3:97となる蒸着速度で二元蒸着を行い、膜厚10nmとなるように形成した。
この正孔注入層3の上に、正孔輸送層4として下記構造式の化合物(3-1)を膜厚140nmとなるように形成した。
この正孔輸送層4の上に、発光層5として下記構造式の化合物(3-2)と下記構造式の化合物(3-3)を、蒸着速度比が(3-2):(3-3)=5:95となる蒸着速度で二元蒸着を行い、膜厚20nmとなるように形成した。
この発光層5の上に、電子輸送層6として下記構造式の化合物(3-4)と下記構造式の化合物(3-5)を、蒸着速度比が(3-4):(3-5)=50:50となる蒸着速度で二元蒸着を行い、膜厚30nmとなるように形成した。
この電子輸送層6の上に、電子注入層7としてフッ化リチウムを膜厚1nmとなるように形成した。
この電子注入層7の上に、陰極8としてマグネシウム銀合金を膜厚12nmとなるように形成した。
最後に、キャッピング層9として実施例1の化合物(1-1)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例2の化合物(1-3)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例4の化合物(1-46)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例5の化合物(1-47)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例6の化合物(1-48)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例7の化合物(1-17)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例8の化合物(1-18)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例9の化合物(1-21)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例10の化合物(1-22)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例11の化合物(1-23)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例12の化合物(1-24)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例14の化合物(1-33)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例15の化合物(1-31)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例16の化合物(1-34)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例17の化合物(1-35)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表2にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例18の化合物(1-30)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例19の化合物(1-36)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例20の化合物(1-38)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例21の化合物(1-39)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例22の化合物(1-25)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて実施例23の化合物(1-26)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
比較のために、実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えてAlq3を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。
比較のために、実施例26において、キャッピング層9として、実施例1の化合物(1-1)に変えて化合物(2-1)を膜厚60nmとなるように形成した以外は、同様の条件で有機EL素子を作製した。作製した有機EL素子について、大気中、常温で特性測定を行い、直流電圧を印加した発光特性の測定結果を表3にまとめて示した。

Claims (7)
- 下記一般式(1)で表される化合物。
(式中、Bは、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族炭化水素基、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族複素環基、置換もしくは無置換の縮合多環芳香族基、または置換もしくは無置換のアリールオキシ基を表す。
Ar1およびAr2は、相互に同一でも異なっていてもよく、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族炭化水素基の2価基、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族複素環基の2価基、置換もしくは無置換の縮合多環芳香族基の2価基、または単結合を表す。
A1およびA2は、相互に同一でも異なっていてもよく、下記一般式(2)で示される1価基を表す。)
(式中、R1~R8は、相互に同一でも異なっていてもよく、結合部位、水素原子、重水素原子、フッ素原子、塩素原子、シアノ基、ニトロ基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素原子数1~6の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素原子数5~10のシクロアルキル基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素原子数2~6の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルケニル基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素原子数1~6の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキルオキシ基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素原子数5~10のシクロアルキルオキシ基、置換もしくは無置換のアリールオキシ基、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族炭化水素基、置換もしくは無置換の芳香族複素環基、または置換もしくは無置換の縮合多環芳香族基を表し、
R1~R8のいずれか1つは結合部位を表す。
X1~X8は、相互に同一でも異なっていてもよく、窒素原子または炭素原子を表し、
X1~X8が窒素原子である数は0~2であり、且つ窒素原子である場合は結合するR1~R8を有さない。) - 前記Bが、置換もしくは無置換の、ナフタレニル基、フェナントレニル基、ジベンゾフラニル基、ジベンゾチオフェニル基、フルオレニル基、カルバゾリル基、ベンゾフラニル基またはベンゾチオフェニル基である請求項1または2に記載の化合物。
- 波長450nm~750nmの範囲における屈折率が、1.70以上である請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の化合物を含む有機薄膜。
- 少なくとも陽極電極、正孔輸送層、発光層、電子輸送層、陰極電極およびキャッピング層をこの順に有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であり、
前記キャッピング層が、請求項4に記載の有機薄膜である有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。 - 一対の電極とその間に挟まれた少なくとも一層の有機層を有する電子素子であり、
前記有機層が、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の化合物を含む電子素子。 - 請求項6に記載の電子素子を含む電子機器。
