Abstract
本発明は、油剤を高配合でき、顔料の分散性と光輝性が両立され、さらに使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法を提供する。 本発明は、次の工程(A)~(C): (A)油剤、粉体、SP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌翼先端の周速度が6~39m/sで混合してスラリー状とする工程、 (B)工程(A)により得られたスラリー状の化粧料を化粧品容器に充填する工程、 (C)工程(B)の後、スラリー状の化粧料から溶媒を除去する工程 を含む固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法に関する。
Description
本発明は、固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法に関する。
固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法には、粉体と油剤を混合した油粉バルクを圧縮成型する乾式法と、油粉バルクに水やアルコールなどの揮発性溶剤を加えてスラリーとし、容器に充填した後、揮発性溶剤を乾燥除去して化粧料を得る湿式法がある。湿式法は乾式法と比較して、粉体と油剤の均一分散が進み、細やかな粉質と、しっとりとした使用感を有する特徴がある。
しかしながら、湿式法においても粉体と油剤の均一分散を十分に行うには困難性が高く、粉体と油剤の凝集物により使用感が損なわれるという課題がある。また、油剤を多量に配合すると粉体と油剤を混合する工程で油剤がしみ出しハンドリングできないため、油剤配合量に限りがあった。油剤と顔料の分散性を向上させる方法として、粉末成分と、結合剤としての油性成分を有機溶媒中で媒体撹拌ミルを用いて混合してスラリーとする方法が報告されている(特許文献1)。また、エタノールに溶解する特定の油剤を用いることにより油剤の分散性が向上させる方法が報告されている(特許文献2)。
これらの方法は油剤の分散性は向上するものの、油剤が分散溶媒へ溶解するため、成型するときの溶媒吸引の際に溶媒と共に除去されることがある。そのため、油剤量を製品に十分残すことができないという課題がある。さらに、ミルなどを用いると顔料の分散性は向上するもののアスペクト比の高い光輝性顔料が粉砕されるため輝きが低減されるという課題がある。
本発明は、次の工程(A)~(C):
(A)油剤、粉体、SP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌翼先端の周速度が6m/s以上39m/s以下で撹拌してスラリー状とする工程、
(B)工程(A)により得られたスラリー状の化粧料を化粧品容器に充填する工程、
(C)工程(B)の後、スラリー状の化粧料から溶媒を除去する工程
を含む固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法を提供するものである。

本発明は、油剤を高配合でき、顔料の分散性と光輝性が両立され、さらに使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法を提供するものである。
本発明者らは、油剤を完全に溶解させない特定のSP値を有する水性溶媒に油剤と粉体を混合する際に、界面活性剤含有量を特定量以下に制限し、通常よりも高い撹拌力で混合してスラリー状とした後に、化粧品容器に充填し、溶媒を除去することで、油剤を高配合できかつ製品に十分残すことができ、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料が得られることを見出した。
本発明によれば油剤を高配合できかつ製品に十分残すことができ、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を製造することができる。
本発明の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法は、前記工程(A)、工程(B)及び工程(C)を含むことを特徴とする。以下に各工程毎に説明する。
工程(A)は、油剤、粉体及びSP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒を、撹拌翼先端の周速度が6m/s以上39m/s以下で混合し、撹拌してスラリー状とする工程である。
ここで、工程(A)においては、油剤、粉体、前記水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌してスラリーとする。このとき、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性をさらに向上させる観点から、油剤と粉体は事前混合しないことが好ましい。
用いられる油剤としては、例えば、炭化水素油、エステル油、エーテル油、シリコーン油、炭素数10~24の高級アルコール等が挙げられる。
ここで、工程(A)においては、油剤、粉体、前記水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌してスラリーとする。このとき、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性をさらに向上させる観点から、油剤と粉体は事前混合しないことが好ましい。
用いられる油剤としては、例えば、炭化水素油、エステル油、エーテル油、シリコーン油、炭素数10~24の高級アルコール等が挙げられる。
より具体的には、炭化水素油としては、スクワラン、ミネラルオイル(流動パラフィン、流動イソパラフィン、重質流動イソパラフィン)等が挙げられる。これらの炭化水素油のうち、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、流動パラフィン、流動イソパラフィン及びスクワランから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、流動パラフィン及びスクワランから選ばれる少なくとも1種を含むのがより好ましい。
エステル油としては、モノエステル油、ジエステル油、トリエステル油及びテトラエステル油が挙げられる。
モノエステル油としては、炭素数2~24の脂肪族又は芳香族のモノカルボン酸又はジカルボン酸のモノエステルが挙げられ、具体例としては、2-エチルヘキサン酸セチル、オクタン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸イソトリデシル、ラウリン酸ヘキシル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル、ミリスチン酸オクチルドデシル、ミリスチン酸ミリスチル、ミリスチン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、パルミチン酸イソプロピル、パルミチン酸オクチル、パルミチン酸2-ヘキシルデシルステアリン酸ブチル、ステアリン酸イソセチル、イソステアリン酸イソセチル、オレイン酸デシル、イソデシルベンゾエート、メトキシケイヒ酸オクチル、ジメチルオクタン酸ヘキシルデシル、乳酸セチル、乳酸ミリスチル、酢酸ラノリン、コハク酸2-エチルヘキシル、アジピン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、安息香酸アルキル(C12~C15)等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、エチルヘキサン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸イソトリデシル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル及びメトキシケイヒ酸オクチルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、エチルヘキサン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル及びイソノナン酸イソトリデシルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、エチルヘキサン酸セチル及びイソノナン酸イソノニルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上がよりさらに好ましい。
モノエステル油としては、炭素数2~24の脂肪族又は芳香族のモノカルボン酸又はジカルボン酸のモノエステルが挙げられ、具体例としては、2-エチルヘキサン酸セチル、オクタン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸イソトリデシル、ラウリン酸ヘキシル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル、ミリスチン酸オクチルドデシル、ミリスチン酸ミリスチル、ミリスチン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、パルミチン酸イソプロピル、パルミチン酸オクチル、パルミチン酸2-ヘキシルデシルステアリン酸ブチル、ステアリン酸イソセチル、イソステアリン酸イソセチル、オレイン酸デシル、イソデシルベンゾエート、メトキシケイヒ酸オクチル、ジメチルオクタン酸ヘキシルデシル、乳酸セチル、乳酸ミリスチル、酢酸ラノリン、コハク酸2-エチルヘキシル、アジピン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、安息香酸アルキル(C12~C15)等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、エチルヘキサン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸イソトリデシル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル及びメトキシケイヒ酸オクチルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、エチルヘキサン酸セチル、イソノナン酸イソノニル及びイソノナン酸イソトリデシルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、エチルヘキサン酸セチル及びイソノナン酸イソノニルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上がよりさらに好ましい。
ジエステル油としては、炭素数3~18のジカルボン酸のジエステル、多価アルコールのジ脂肪酸エステル等が挙げられ、具体例としては、ジカプリル酸プロピレングリコール、ジカプリン酸ネオペンチルグリコール、ジステアリン酸グリコール、ジイソステアリン酸プロピレングリコール、ジイソステアリン酸グリセリル、モノイソステアリン酸モノミリスチン酸グリセリル、ジ2-ヘプチルウンデカン酸グリセリン、コハク酸ジ2-エチルヘキシル、セバシン酸ジイソプロピル、リンゴ酸ジイソステアリル、ジ2-エチルヘキサン酸エチレングリコール、アジピン酸ジイソブチル、アジピン酸ジ-2-ヘプチルウンデシル、セバシン酸ジ-2-エチルヘキシル等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、ジカプリル酸プロピレングリコール、ジカプリン酸ネオペンチルグリコール、ジステアリン酸グリコール、リンゴ酸ジイソステアリル及びジイソステアリン酸プロピレングリコールから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、ジカプリル酸プロピレングリコール、ジカプリン酸ネオペンチルグリコール及びリンゴ酸ジイソステアリルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、ジカプリン酸ネオペンチルグリコール及びリンゴ酸ジイソステアリルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがさらに好ましく、リンゴ酸ジイソステアリルを含むのがよりさらに好ましい。
トリエステル油としては、3価以上の多価アルコールのトリ脂肪酸エステルが挙げられ、具体的には、トリミリスチン酸グリセリン、トリイソパルミチン酸グリセリン、トリ2-ヘプチルウンデカン酸グリセリン、トリエチルヘキサン酸トリメチロールプロパン、トリオクタン酸トリメチロールプロパン、トリ(カプリル・カプリン酸)グリセリン、トリオレイン酸グリセリン、トリ2-エチルヘキサン酸グリセリン、トリイソステアリン酸グリセリン、オリーブ油、ホホバ油等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、トリ(カプリル・カプリン酸)グリセリン、トリオレイン酸グリセリン、トリ2-エチルヘキサン酸グリセリン及びトリイソステアリン酸グリセリンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、トリ(カプリル・カプリン酸)グリセリンがより好ましい。
テトラエステル油としては、4価以上の多価アルコールのテトラ脂肪酸エステルが挙げられ、具体的には、テトラ(ベヘン酸/安息香酸/エチルヘキサン酸)ペンタエリスリット、テトラエチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリット、テトラオクタン酸ペンタエリスリット、テトラ2-エチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリットが挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、テトラエチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリット、テトラオクタン酸ペンタエリスリット及びテトラ2-エチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリットから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、テトラエチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリットを含むのがより好ましい。
エーテル油としては、ジアルキルエーテルが挙げられ、具体的には、ジヘキシルエーテル、ジカプリリルエーテル、セチル-1,3-ジメチルブチルエーテル等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、ジカプリリルエーテル及びセチル-1,3-ジメチルブチルエーテルから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、セチル-1,3-ジメチルブチルエーテルを含むのがより好ましい。
シリコーン油としては、架橋型メチルポリシロキサン、網状型メチルポリシロキサン、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルトリメチコン、ジメチルシクロポリシロキサン、ジフェニルシロキシフェニルトリメチコン等のメチルフェニルポリシロキサン、高級アルコール変性オルガノポリシロキサン等が挙げられる。これらの中では、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルトリメチコン、ジメチルシクロポリシロキサン及びメチルフェニルポリシロキサンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルトリメチコン及びメチルフェニルポリシロキサンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルトリメチコン及びジフェニルシロキシフェニルトリメチコンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがさらに好ましい。また、シリコーン油は、揮発性シリコーン油を含むのがよりさらに好ましい。

炭素数10~24の高級アルコールとしては、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、炭素数12~22の高級アルコールから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、炭素数16~22の高級アルコールから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、炭素数18~22の高級アルコールから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがさらに好ましく、炭素数18と22の高級アルコールから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがよりさらに好ましい。
油剤としては、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、ミネラルオイル、エステル油及びシリコーン油から選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、ミネラルオイルのうち流動パラフィン、モノエステル油、ジエステル油及びシリコーン油から選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、流動パラフィン、モノエステル油、ジエステル油、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルトリメチコン及びメチルフェニルポリシロキサンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがよりさらに好ましい。
油剤としては、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性にも優れ、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を得る観点から、25℃で液状があるものが好ましい。また、少なくとも、揮発性シリコーン油を含むのがより好ましい。

本発明に使用される粉体としては、光輝性顔料を含有するのが好ましく、着色顔料及び光輝性顔料を含有するのがより好ましい。またさらに、着色顔料、光輝性顔料及び体質願料を含むのが好ましい。
光輝性顔料としては、雲母、合成金雲母、ガラス、シリカ、アルミナ等の板状粉体等の表面を、酸化チタン、酸化鉄、酸化ケイ素、紺青、酸化クロム、酸化スズ、水酸化クロム、金、銀、カルミン、有機顔料等の着色剤で被覆したものなど、及びポリエチレンテレフタレート・ポリメチルメタクリレート積層末、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・アルミ蒸着末、ポリエチレンテレフタレート・金蒸着積層末などの、フィルム原反を任意形状に断裁したものなどを用いることができる。
着色顔料としては、例えば、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、黄酸化鉄、ベンガラ、黒酸化鉄、紺青、群青、酸化クロム、水酸化クロム等の金属酸化物;マンガンバイオレット、チタン酸コバルト等の金属錯体;更にカーボンブラック等の無機顔料;赤色3号、赤色104号、赤色106号、赤色201号、赤色202号、赤色204号、赤色205号、赤色220号、赤色226号、赤色227号、赤色228号、赤色230号、赤色401号、赤色405号、赤色505号、橙色203号、橙色204号、橙色205号、黄色4号、黄色5号、黄色401号、青色1号、青色404号等の合成有機顔料;β-カロチン、カラメル、パプリカ色素等の天然有機色素などが挙げられる。
体質顔料としては、例えば、ケイ酸、無水ケイ酸、ケイ酸マグネシウム、タルク、セリサイト、窒化ホウ素、マイカ、合成マイカ、ガラスフレーク、合成金雲母、カオリン、クレー、ベントナイト、オキシ塩化ビスマス、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化アルミニウム、硫酸カルシウム、硫酸バリウム、硫酸マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、珪酸アルミニウム、珪酸マグネシウム、シリカ、アルミナ等の無機顔料及びこれらの複合粉体が挙げられる。
さらに、ポリエチレンパウダー、ポリプロピレンパウダー、ポリメタクリル酸メチルパウダー、ナイロンパウダー、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンパウダー、シリコーンパウダー、シリコーンゴムパウダー、シルクパウダー、ウレタンパウダー、セルロースパウダー、デンプン粉末、ポリフッ化エチレン等の有機粉体;シリカ、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウム等の無機粉体;ラウロイルリジン等のアシル化リジン粉体;高級脂肪酸金属塩である金属石鹸粉体などを用いることができる。
また、上述の有機粉体や無機粉体は、固形状粉末化粧料の粉取れ性を良くする観点と肌への伸びを良くする観点から、球状粉体であることが好ましく、体質顔料、着色顔料、光輝性顔料の少なくともいずれか1種である顔料と、球状粉体とを併用することがより好ましい。
これらの粉体は、大きさ、形状等は制限されず、また、そのまま使用することができるほか、通常の方法により、疎水化処理、親水化処理して用いることもできる。
疎水化処理としては、通常の化粧料用粉体に施されている処理であれば制限されず、フッ素化合物、シリコーン系化合物、金属石鹸、アミノ酸系化合物、レシチン、アルキルシラン、油剤、有機チタネート等の表面処理剤を用い、乾式処理、湿式処理等を行えばよい。

粉体としては、粉とれや、塗布時の伸び広がり、化粧持続性の点から、疎水性粉体を含むのが好ましく、フッ素化合物、シリコーン系化合物、金属石鹸、アミノ酸系化合物、レシチン、アルキルシラン、油剤、有機チタネート等で表面処理されたものがより好ましい。
粉体として上述の疎水性粉体を含む場合、疎水性粉体は、全粉体中に10質量%以上であるのが好ましく、30質量%以上がより好ましく、50質量%以上がさらに好ましい。
粉体は、1種又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができ、本発明固形状粉末化粧料中の粉体の総含有量は、色調、使用感、成型性により任意の量を調整でき、固形状粉末化粧料総量中に70質量%以上95質量%以下が好ましく、73質量%以上90質量%以下がより好ましく、75質量%以上87質量%以下がさらに好ましく、75質量%以上84質量%以下がよりさらに好ましい。
光輝性顔料の含有量は、色調、使用感、成型性により任意の量を調整でき、固形状粉末化粧料総量中に10質量%以上50質量%以下が好ましく、15質量%以上45質量%以下がより好ましく、20質量%以上40質量%以下がさらに好ましい。
着色顔料の含有量は、色調、使用感、成型性により任意の量を調整でき、固形状粉末化粧料総量中に2質量%以上30質量%以下が好ましく、5質量%以上25質量%以下がより好ましく、5質量%以上20質量%以下がさらに好ましい。
体質顔料の含有量は、色調、使用感、成型性により任意の量を調整でき、固形状粉末化粧料総量中に10質量%以上60質量%以下が好ましく、15質量%以上55質量%以下がより好ましく、20質量%以上50質量%以下がさらに好ましい。
工程(A)において使用する溶媒は、SP値が19(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒であればよいが、油剤を製品中に十分に残す観点から、SP値が20(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒が好ましく、SP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒がより好ましく、SP値が22(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒がさらに好ましい。
SP値は、凝集エネルギー密度の平方根で定義される物性値であり、溶媒の溶解挙動を示す数値である。水のSP値(理論値)は23.4であり、n-ヘキサン(理論値)のSP値は7.3であり、エタノールのSP値(理論値)は12.7である。
本発明では、油剤を製品中に十分に残すことができる観点から、油剤を完全に溶解させないSP値を有する水性溶媒を用いるのが好ましく、SP値が19(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒を用いるのが好ましく、水、又はSP値19以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがより好ましく、20(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがさらに好ましく、21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、22(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、水のみを用いるのがよりさらに好ましい。
SP値は、凝集エネルギー密度の平方根で定義される物性値であり、溶媒の溶解挙動を示す数値である。水のSP値(理論値)は23.4であり、n-ヘキサン(理論値)のSP値は7.3であり、エタノールのSP値(理論値)は12.7である。
本発明では、油剤を製品中に十分に残すことができる観点から、油剤を完全に溶解させないSP値を有する水性溶媒を用いるのが好ましく、SP値が19(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒を用いるのが好ましく、水、又はSP値19以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがより好ましく、20(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがさらに好ましく、21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、22(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水-エタノール溶液を用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、水のみを用いるのがよりさらに好ましい。
前記水性溶媒の使用量は、油剤及び粉体をスラリーにできる量であればよく、例えば油剤及び粉体の合計量に対して、20質量%以上200質量%以下であるのが好ましく、40質量%以上160質量%以下であるのがより好ましく、60質量%以上140質量%以下であるのがさらに好ましい。
本発明の工程(A)においては、油剤、粉体及び前記水性溶媒以外に、界面活性剤、多価アルコール、水溶性高分子、美容成分、香料、防腐剤、紫外線吸収剤、酸化防止剤などを含有させてもよい。界面活性剤を含有させる場合は、油剤に対して12質量%以下の範囲内とすることが好ましい。
界面活性剤は、前記スラリー中に油剤と粉体とを均一に分散させ、凝集塊を抑制する点を考慮すると、使用するのが好ましい。界面活性剤としては、非イオン界面活性剤を含むのが好ましい。
界面活性剤としては、シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤と、シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤が挙げられる。
シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤としては、通常の化粧料に用いられるものであれば制限されず、例えば、モノイソステアリン酸ソルビタン等のソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、グリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル、プロピレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ポリエチレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ショ糖脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビトール脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレングリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンプロピレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンフィトスタノールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンフィトステロースエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンコレスタノールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンコレステリルエーテル等が挙げられる。
シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤としては、ポリオキシエチレン・メチルポリシロキサン共重合体、ポリオキシエチレン・ポリジメチルシロキシエチルジメチコン(具体的には、PEG-9ポリジメチルシロキシエチルジメチコン)等の直鎖型又は分岐型ポリエーテル変性シリコーン;アルキル変性ポリエーテル変性シリコーン(具体的には、セチルPEG/PPG-10/1ジメチコン);アルキル変性ポリオキシエチレン・ポリジメチルシロキシエチルジメチコン(具体的には、ラウリルPEG-9ポリジメチルシロキシエチルジメチコン)等のアルキル鎖共変性ポリエーテル変性シリコーンなどが挙げられる。
界面活性剤としては、シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤と、シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤が挙げられる。
シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤としては、通常の化粧料に用いられるものであれば制限されず、例えば、モノイソステアリン酸ソルビタン等のソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、グリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル、プロピレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ポリエチレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ショ糖脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビトール脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレングリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンプロピレングリコール脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンフィトスタノールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンフィトステロースエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンコレスタノールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンコレステリルエーテル等が挙げられる。

これらのうち、スラリーの安定性向上の観点から、ソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、直鎖型又は分岐型ポリエーテル変性シリコーン、アルキル変性ポリエーテル変性シリコーン及びアルキル変性ポリオキシエチレン・ポリジメチルシロキシエチルジメチコンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのが好ましく、ソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、直鎖型又は分岐型ポリエーテル変性シリコーン及びアルキル変性ポリエーテル変性シリコーンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましく、ソルビタン脂肪酸エステル及びアルキル変性ポリエーテル変性シリコーンから選ばれる少なくとも1種又は2種以上を含むのがより好ましい。また、シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤と、シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤を併用することが好ましい。
これらの非イオン界面活性剤は、スラリーの安定性向上の観点から、HLBは、3.5~16であるのが好ましく、7~14がより好ましく、8~12がよりさらに好ましい。
ここで、HLB(親水性-親油性のバランス〈Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance〉)は、界面活性剤の全分子量に占める親水基部分の分子量を示すものであり、非イオン界面活性剤については、グリフィン(Griffin)の式により求められるものである。2種以上の非イオン界面活性剤から構成される混合界面活性剤のHLBは、次のようにして求められる。混合界面活性剤のHLBは、各非イオン界面活性剤のHLB値をその配合比率に基づいて相加算平均したものである。
混合HLB=Σ(HLBx×Wx)/ΣWx
HLBxは、非イオン界面活性剤XのHLB値を示す。Wxは、HLBxの値を有する非イオン界面活性剤Xの質量(g)を示す。

HLBxは、非イオン界面活性剤XのHLB値を示す。Wxは、HLBxの値を有する非イオン界面活性剤Xの質量(g)を示す。
界面活性剤のうち、シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤と、シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤を併用する場合、シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤に対する、シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤の質量割合は、スラリーの安定性向上の観点から、(シリコーン系非イオン界面活性剤)/(シリコーン系以外の非イオン界面活性剤)=0.5~20であるのが好ましく、1~10がより好ましく、2~5がさらに好ましい。
このような界面活性剤は、1種又は2種状以上を組み合わせて用いることができ、乳化させ、スラリー中に油剤と粉体を均一に分散させ、凝集塊を抑制する観点から用いることが好ましい。一方、界面活性剤を高配合すると、後の工程(C)においてスラリー状の化粧料から溶媒を除去する際に油剤も同時に除去され易く、化粧料に油剤を多く残存させることが難くなる。以上の点から、界面活性剤は油剤の合計量に対して0質量%以上12質量%以下用いるのが好ましく、0質量%以上12質量%未満用いるのがより好ましく、0質量%以上10質量%以下用いるのがさらに好ましく、0質量%以上7質量%以下用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、0質量%以上5質量%以下用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、0質量%以上3質量%以下用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、0質量%以上2質量%以下用いるのがよりさらに好ましく、0質量%であることがよりさらに好ましい。
工程(A)においては、顔料の分散性がよく凝集塊もなく光輝性をさらに向上させる観点から、油剤と粉体は事前混合することなく、油剤、粉体及び前記水性溶媒は混合してスラリーとすることが好ましい。油剤、粉体及び前記水性溶媒は一度に混合してもよく、油剤と前記水性溶媒を混合した後に粉体を混合してもよく、粉体と前記水性溶媒を混合した後に油剤を混合してもよい。
この工程に用いる装置は、油剤と粉体と前記水性溶媒が均一に混合できる混合装置であればよく、高速分散機、例えばディスパー翼を有するホモディスパーなどが使用できる。
混合時の混合装置の撹拌翼先端の周速度は、界面活性剤含有量が油剤に対して10質量%以下であっても顔料の分散性、油剤の分散性を良好とする観点、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、6m/s以上39m/s以下が好ましい。また、顔料の分散性(凝集塊抑制)、油剤の分散性の観点から、8m/s以上がより好ましく、10m/s以上がさらに好ましく、15m/s以上がよりさらに好ましく、20m/s以上がよりさらに好ましく、また、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、35m/s以下がより好ましく、30m/s以下がさらに好ましい。
撹拌時間は、顔料の分散性(凝集塊抑制)、油剤の分散性の観点から、1分以上が好ましく、3分以上がより好ましく、5分以上がさらに好ましく、また、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、120分以下が好ましく、75分以下がより好ましく、60分以下がさらに好ましい。
撹拌温度は、顔料の分散(凝集塊抑制)性、油剤の分散性の観点から、15℃以上が好ましく、20℃以上がより好ましく、25℃以上がさらに好ましく、また、静安寺の負荷を低減する観点、操作の安全性の観点から、90℃以下が好ましく、80℃以下がより好ましく、70℃以下がさらに好ましい。
混合時の混合装置の撹拌翼先端の周速度は、界面活性剤含有量が油剤に対して10質量%以下であっても顔料の分散性、油剤の分散性を良好とする観点、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、6m/s以上39m/s以下が好ましい。また、顔料の分散性(凝集塊抑制)、油剤の分散性の観点から、8m/s以上がより好ましく、10m/s以上がさらに好ましく、15m/s以上がよりさらに好ましく、20m/s以上がよりさらに好ましく、また、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、35m/s以下がより好ましく、30m/s以下がさらに好ましい。
撹拌時間は、顔料の分散性(凝集塊抑制)、油剤の分散性の観点から、1分以上が好ましく、3分以上がより好ましく、5分以上がさらに好ましく、また、光輝性顔料の粉砕防止、生産時の負荷を低減する観点から、120分以下が好ましく、75分以下がより好ましく、60分以下がさらに好ましい。
撹拌温度は、顔料の分散(凝集塊抑制)性、油剤の分散性の観点から、15℃以上が好ましく、20℃以上がより好ましく、25℃以上がさらに好ましく、また、静安寺の負荷を低減する観点、操作の安全性の観点から、90℃以下が好ましく、80℃以下がより好ましく、70℃以下がさらに好ましい。
工程(B)は、工程(A)により得られたスラリー状の化粧料を化粧品容器に充填する工程である。
工程(B)に用いられる化粧品容器は、目的とする固形状粉末化粧料に適切な容器である。例えば、PET樹脂、AS樹脂、ABS樹脂、又はポリカーボネート樹脂等の樹脂製の容器やアルミニウム、鉄等の金属製の容器等が挙げられる。
充填方法は、特に限定されず、フロント充填、バック充填のいずれでもよい。
工程(B)に用いられる化粧品容器は、目的とする固形状粉末化粧料に適切な容器である。例えば、PET樹脂、AS樹脂、ABS樹脂、又はポリカーボネート樹脂等の樹脂製の容器やアルミニウム、鉄等の金属製の容器等が挙げられる。
充填方法は、特に限定されず、フロント充填、バック充填のいずれでもよい。
工程(C)は、工程(B)の後、スラリー状の化粧料から溶媒を除去する工程である。
充填された化粧料から、溶媒を除去するタイミングは、スラリーを化粧品容器に充填完了後に溶媒を吸引除去してもよく、溶媒を吸引除去しながら化粧品容器に充填してもよいが、溶媒を吸引除去しながら化粧品容器にプレス成型するのが好ましい。また、溶媒の除去手段としては、真空吸引の他、多孔質、布、紙への吸収による除去でもよい。
ここで、溶媒を吸引除去時の真空度は、溶媒除去効率及び製造時の機器への負荷の観点から、-5kPa以上80kPa以下が好ましい。
充填された化粧料から、溶媒を除去するタイミングは、スラリーを化粧品容器に充填完了後に溶媒を吸引除去してもよく、溶媒を吸引除去しながら化粧品容器に充填してもよいが、溶媒を吸引除去しながら化粧品容器にプレス成型するのが好ましい。また、溶媒の除去手段としては、真空吸引の他、多孔質、布、紙への吸収による除去でもよい。
ここで、溶媒を吸引除去時の真空度は、溶媒除去効率及び製造時の機器への負荷の観点から、-5kPa以上80kPa以下が好ましい。
さらに、必要により、固形状粉末化粧料は、乾燥することが好ましい。乾燥手段は、特に限定されず、自然乾燥でもよく、熱風乾燥、真空乾燥を好ましく用いることができる。
乾燥温度は、乾燥効率及び製造時の機器の負荷、製品の熱劣化の観点から、20℃以上が好ましく、25℃以上がより好ましく、30℃以上がさらに好ましく、また、95℃以下が好ましく、90℃以下がより好ましく、85℃以下がさらに好ましい。
乾燥後の固形粉末化粧料中の水分量(含水率)は、使用時の取れ量、耐落下強度の点から、0.01~1.0質量%が好ましく、0.05~0.8質量%がより好ましく、0.1~0.5質量%がさらに好ましい。
乾燥温度は、乾燥効率及び製造時の機器の負荷、製品の熱劣化の観点から、20℃以上が好ましく、25℃以上がより好ましく、30℃以上がさらに好ましく、また、95℃以下が好ましく、90℃以下がより好ましく、85℃以下がさらに好ましい。
乾燥後の固形粉末化粧料中の水分量(含水率)は、使用時の取れ量、耐落下強度の点から、0.01~1.0質量%が好ましく、0.05~0.8質量%がより好ましく、0.1~0.5質量%がさらに好ましい。
本発明方法により得られる固形状粉末化粧料としては、アイカラー、ファンデーション、ほほ紅、アイライナー、フェイスパウダー、口紅等のメークアップ化粧料が挙げられる。
上述した実施形態に関し、本発明はさらに以下の製造方法を開示する。

次に実施例を挙げて本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に何ら限定されるものではない。
〔成型品の作製方法〕
実施例1~15及び比較例1~8
ビーカーに、表1に記載した量の溶媒及び油剤を投入し40mmのディスパーで1分間撹拌後、顔料を加え、さらにディスパーを用いて所定の回転数で25℃、10分間混合してスラリーを得た。
得られたスラリーを27mm×27mmの金皿に3g充填し、吸引孔が付属したプレス板と金皿の間に2枚の布を重ねた状態で、真空により吸引孔から溶媒を吸引除去しながら1kNのプレス圧で2秒間、2回プレスした。その後、40℃で24時間乾燥し固形状粉末化粧料を製造した。
実施例1~15及び比較例1~8
ビーカーに、表1に記載した量の溶媒及び油剤を投入し40mmのディスパーで1分間撹拌後、顔料を加え、さらにディスパーを用いて所定の回転数で25℃、10分間混合してスラリーを得た。
得られたスラリーを27mm×27mmの金皿に3g充填し、吸引孔が付属したプレス板と金皿の間に2枚の布を重ねた状態で、真空により吸引孔から溶媒を吸引除去しながら1kNのプレス圧で2秒間、2回プレスした。その後、40℃で24時間乾燥し固形状粉末化粧料を製造した。
〔成型品(乾燥前)の油剤量の測定方法〕
EXSTAR6000(日立ハイテクサイエンス社製)を用いて成型品10mgを600℃まで昇温し、質量が変化しなくなるまで加熱し、質量変化から油剤量を算出した。

〔成型品(乾燥後)の官能評価方法〕
化粧品研究従事者5名に作製した固形状粉末化粧料の『目視による着色顔料の凝集塊』、『目視による光輝性顔料の輝きの強さ』、『使用時の滑らかさ』について5点満点で評価してもらい、その固形状粉末化粧料の点数(点数は四捨五入)とした。

製造した固形状粉末化粧料の処方、溶媒の種類とSP値、製造条件及び成型品の評価結果を表1に示す。

表1より、油剤、粉体、SP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌翼先端の周速度が6m/s以上39m/s以下で混合してスラリー状とする工程(A)を採用することにより、顔料の分散性と光輝性が両立され、使用感に優れた固形状粉末化粧料を製造することができることがわかる。
Claims (10)
- 次の工程(A)~(C):
(A)油剤、粉体、SP値が21(cal/cm3)1/2以上である水性溶媒、及び油剤に対して0~10質量%の界面活性剤を混合し、撹拌翼先端の周速度が6m/s以上39m/s以下で混合してスラリー状とする工程、
(B)工程(A)により得られたスラリー状の化粧料を化粧品容器に充填する工程、
(C)工程(B)の後、スラリー状の化粧料から溶媒を除去する工程
を含む固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。 - 前記粉体が、光輝性顔料を含有する請求項1記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 前記粉体が、着色顔料及び光輝性顔料を含有する請求項1又は2記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 撹拌翼先端の周速度が8m/s以上35m/s以下である請求項1~3のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 撹拌翼先端の周速度が10m/s以上30m/s以下である請求項1~4のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 界面活性剤の使用量が、油剤に対して0~7質量%である請求項1~5のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 前記水性溶媒のSP値が、22(cal/cm3)1/2以上である請求項1~6のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 混合する際の温度が15℃以上90℃以下である請求項1~7のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 混合する際の時間が1分以上120分以下である請求項1~8のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
- 工程(A)は、油剤と粉体は事前混合することなく、油剤、粉体及び前記水性溶媒を混合してスラリー状とする工程である請求項1~9のいずれか1項記載の固形状粉末化粧料の製造方法。
