Abstract
Description
(1)芳香族ビニル単量体単位、シアン化ビニル単量体単位、及びマレイミド単量体単位を含有するマレイミド系共重合体であり、重量平均分子量が5万~11万であり、JIS K-7121に準じて測定された中間点ガラス転移温度が165℃~200℃であるマレイミド系共重合体。
(2)JIS K-7373に準じて測定された黄色度が0.5~3.5である(1)に記載のマレイミド系共重合体。
(3)前記マレイミド系共重合体は、前記マレイミド系共重合体を構成する単量体単位として、芳香族ビニル単量体単位40~60質量%、シアン化ビニル単量体単位5~20質量%、マレイミド単量体単位30~50質量%を含有する(1)又は(2)に記載のマレイミド系共重合体。
(4)(1)~(3)のいずれか一つに記載のマレイミド系共重合体100質量部と、前記マレイミド系共重合体以外の共重合体であって、シアン化ビニル単量体単位及び芳香族ビニル単量体単位を含有する共重合体0~20質量部を含有するマレイミド系共重合体組成物。
(5)(1)~(3)のいずれか一つに記載のマレイミド系共重合体5~40質量%と、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-スチレン-アクリル系ゴム共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-エチレン・プロピレン系ゴム-スチレン共重合樹脂又はスチレン-アクリロニトリル共重合樹脂、から選ばれた1種又は2種以上の樹脂60~95質量%を含有する樹脂組成物。
(6)(4)に記載のマレイミド系共重合体組成物5~40質量%と、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-スチレン-アクリル系ゴム共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-エチレン・プロピレン系ゴム-スチレン共重合樹脂又はスチレン-アクリロニトリル共重合樹脂、から選ばれた1種又は2種以上の樹脂60~95質量%を含有する樹脂組成物。
(7)(5)又は(6)に記載の樹脂組成物を用いた射出成形体。
(8)自動車の内装部材又は外装部材として使用される(7)に記載の射出成形体。
本願明細書において、例えば、「A~B」なる記載は、A以上でありB以下であることを意味する。
マレイミド系共重合体の黄色度は、例えばマレイミド系共重合体の重量平均分子量により調節することができる。マレイミド系共重合体の重量平均分子量を小さくすることにより黄色度が低くなるが、黄色度が0.5に満たないと、マレイミド系共重合体の耐熱性が低下する。また、マレイミド系共重合体の重量平均分子量を大きくすることにより黄色度が高くなるが、黄色度が3.5を超えるとマレイミド系共重合体の流動性が低下する。他に、マレイミド系共重合体中に含まれる芳香族ビニル単量体単位やシアン化ビニル単量体単位の量、並びに残存マレイミド単量体の量を調節することによっても黄色度を調節することが可能である。
マレイミド系共重合体の黄色度(YI)は、JIS K-7373に準じて以下の手順で測定した値である。
マレイミド系共重合体1gを25mLのテトラヒドロフランに溶解させる。溶解後、測定用の角セルに移す。温度23℃、湿度50%の条件で、CIE標準のD65光源を使用した透過法により、テトラヒドロフラン溶液の角セルをブランクとして色差を求め、その値を黄色度とする。

マレイミド系共重合体組成物は、上述のように、マレイミド系共重合体にシアン化ビニル単量体単位及び芳香族ビニル単量体単位を含有する共重合体をさらに添加することによっても得られるが(後添加)、マレイミド系共重合体の重合中に生成する共重合体を除去せずに存在させることによっても得ることができる。マレイミド系共重合体組成物は、芳香族ビニル単量体単位、シアン化ビニル単量体単位、及びマレイミド単量体単位を含む共重合体であって、当該マレイミド単量体単位の含有量が30質量%未満である共重合体も含み得る。また、マレイミド系共重合体組成物は、実質的にシアン化ビニル単量体単位及び芳香族ビニル単量体単位のみから構成される共重合体も含み得る。マレイミド系共重合体組成物は、このような共重合体をマレイミド系共重合体から除去せずに共存させることによって得てもよい。
また、マレイミド系共重合体に代えてマレイミド系共重合体組成物を用いた場合にも、同様に樹脂組成物の耐熱性を向上させる効果が得られ、かつ、樹脂組成物の耐衝撃性や色相が低下しない。
マレイミド系共重合体とこれらの樹脂とを混練混合する際に、さらに安定剤、紫外線吸収剤、難燃剤、可塑剤、滑剤、ガラス繊維、無機充填剤、着色剤、帯電防止剤等を添加しても差し支えない。
また、マレイミド系共重合体組成物についても、マレイミド系共重合体と同様にして各種樹脂と混練混合でき、添加剤を添加することが可能である。
攪拌機を備えた容積約120リットルのオートクレーブ中にスチレン20質量部、アクリロニトリル10質量部、マレイン酸無水物5質量部、t-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート0.1質量部、α-メチルスチレンダイマーを0.5質量部、メチルエチルケトン12質量部を仕込み、気相部を窒素ガスで置換した後、撹拌しながら40分かけて92℃まで昇温した。昇温後92℃を保持しながら、スチレン28質量部及びマレイン酸無水物25質量部とt-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート0.22質量部をメチルエチルケトン75質量部に溶解した溶液を7時間かけて連続的に添加した。更にマレイン酸無水物添加終了後、スチレン12質量部を2時間かけて連続的に添加した。スチレン添加終了後、120℃に昇温し、1時間反応させて重合を終了させた。その後、重合液にアニリン18.6質量部、トリエチルアミン0.3質量部を加え140℃で7時間反応させた。反応終了後のイミド化反応液をベントタイプスクリュー式押出機に投入し、揮発分を除去してペレット状のマレイミド系共重合体A-1を得た。得られたマレイミド系共重合体の分析結果を表1に示す。
攪拌機を備えた容積約120リットルのオートクレーブ中にスチレン20質量部、アクリロニトリル21質量部、マレイン酸無水物5質量部、t-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート0.1質量部、α-メチルスチレンダイマーを0.5質量部、メチルエチルケトン12質量部を仕込み、気相部を窒素ガスで置換した後、撹拌しながら40分かけて92℃まで昇温した。昇温後92℃を保持しながら、スチレン28質量部及びマレイン酸無水物26質量部とt-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート0.22質量部をメチルエチルケトン75質量部に溶解した溶液を7時間かけて連続的に添加した。更にマレイン酸無水物添加終了後、120℃に昇温し、1時間反応させて重合を終了させた。その後、重合液にアニリン19.9質量部、トリエチルアミン0.3質量部を加え140℃で7時間反応させた。反応終了後のイミド化反応液をベントタイプスクリュー式押出機に投入し、揮発分を除去してペレット状のマレイミド系共重合体A-2を得た。得られたマレイミド系共重合体の分析結果を表1に示す。

重量平均分子量は、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)にて測定されるポリスチレン換算の値であり、次の条件で測定した。

上述で得られた各マレイミド系共重合体0.5gをウンデカン(内部標準物質)入り1,2-ジクロロエタン溶液(0.014g/L)5mlに溶解させた後、n-ヘキサン5mlを加えて振とう器で10~15分間振とうし、不溶分(共重合体成分)を析出させた。不溶分を析出・沈殿させた状態で上澄み液のみをガスクロマトグラフに注入した。得られたマレイミド単量体のピーク面積から、内部標準物質より求めた係数を用いて、定量値を算出した。

上述で得られた各マレイミド系共重合体1gを25mLのテトラヒドロフランに溶解させた。溶解後、測定用の角セルに移した。温度23℃、湿度50%の条件で、CIE標準のD65光源を使用した透過法により、テトラヒドロフラン溶液の角セルをブランクとして色差を求め、その値を黄色度とした。

実施例1~8、比較例1~8(マレイミド系共重合体とABS樹脂との混練混合)
マレイミド系共重合体A-1~A-12と、一般に市販されているABS樹脂「GR-3000」(デンカ株式会社製)とを表3及び表4に示した配合割合でブレンドした後、二軸押出機(TEM-35B 東芝機械株式会社製)を用いて押出しペレット化した。このペレットを使用し、射出成形機により試験片を作成して、各物性値の測定を行った。結果を表3及び表4に示す。
JIS K-7111に準拠して、ノッチあり試験片を用い、打撃方向はエッジワイズを採用して相対湿度50%、雰囲気温度23℃で測定した。なお、測定機は東洋精機製作所社製デジタル衝撃試験機を使用した。
JIS K-7206に準拠して、50法(荷重50N、昇温速度50℃/時間)で試験片は10mm×10mm、厚さ4mmのものを用いて測定した。なお、測定機は株式会社東洋精機製作所製HDT&VSPT試験装置を使用した。
JIS K-7210に準拠して、220℃、98N荷重にて測定した。
JIS K-7373に準拠して測定した。具体的な手順は以下のとおりである。
上述で得られた各試験片1gを25mLのテトラヒドロフランに溶解させた。溶解後、測定用の角セルに移した。温度23℃、湿度50%の条件で、CIE標準のD65光源を使用した透過法により、テトラヒドロフラン溶液の角セルをブランクとして色差を求め、その値を黄色度とした。

試験片形状316×20×2mm、長半径250mm、短半径150mmの1/4楕円法により、23℃、48時間後のクラックを観察した。試験片は成形ひずみの影響を排除するため、260℃にてペレットをプレス成形して、切り出して製造した。薬品はトルエンを用いて行った。
なお、臨界ひずみは下記式にて求めた。

Claims (8)
- 芳香族ビニル単量体単位、シアン化ビニル単量体単位、及びマレイミド単量体単位を含有するマレイミド系共重合体であり、重量平均分子量が5万~11万であり、JIS K-7121に準じて測定された中間点ガラス転移温度が165℃~200℃であるマレイミド系共重合体。
- JIS K-7373に準じて測定された黄色度が0.5~3.5である請求項1に記載のマレイミド系共重合体。
- 前記マレイミド系共重合体は、前記マレイミド系共重合体を構成する単量体単位として、芳香族ビニル単量体単位40~60質量%、シアン化ビニル単量体単位5~20質量%、マレイミド単量体単位30~50質量%を含有する請求項1又は請求項2に記載のマレイミド系共重合体。
- 請求項1~請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のマレイミド系共重合体100質量部と、前記マレイミド系共重合体以外の共重合体であって、シアン化ビニル単量体単位及び芳香族ビニル単量体単位を含有する共重合体0~20質量部を含有するマレイミド系共重合体組成物。
- 請求項1~請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のマレイミド系共重合体5~40質量%と、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-スチレン-アクリル系ゴム共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-エチレン・プロピレン系ゴム-スチレン共重合樹脂又はスチレン-アクリロニトリル共重合樹脂、から選ばれた1種又は2種以上の樹脂60~95質量%を含有する樹脂組成物。
- 請求項4に記載のマレイミド系共重合体組成物5~40質量%と、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-スチレン-アクリル系ゴム共重合樹脂、アクリロニトリル-エチレン・プロピレン系ゴム-スチレン共重合樹脂又はスチレン-アクリロニトリル共重合樹脂、から選ばれた1種又は2種以上の樹脂60~95質量%を含有する樹脂組成物。
- 請求項5又は請求項6に記載の樹脂組成物を用いた射出成形体。
- 自動車の内装部材又は外装部材として使用される請求項7記載の射出成形体。
