Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein scheibenförmiges Trennwerkzeug (1), ein Radialtrennverfahren zur Bearbeitung von axial länglichen Werkstücken, eine Trennvorrichtung sowie eine Verwendung eines scheibenförmigen Trennwerkzeugs. Ein erfindungsgemäßes scheibenförmiges Trennwerkzeug weist eine definierte Flexibilität und einen definierten Schlag auf. Bei einem erfindungsgemäßen Radialtrennverfahren bringt eine seitliche Auslenkung des axial ortsfest rotierenden Werkzeugs (1) dieses mit der zumindest einen seitlich angebrachten Schleif- und Polierfläche (6, 20, 21, 22) an dem zu bearbeitenden Werkstück in einen Axialwirkkontakt. In einer erfindungsgemäßen Trennvorrichtung ist das Trennwerkzeug (1) zur Bearbeitung des Werkstücks ausschließlich radial verfahrbar. Eine erfindungsgemäße Verwendung eines scheibenförmigen Werkzeuges (1) dient zur Probenaufbereitung und späteren Oberflächenanalyse an einem abgelängten Werkstück.
