Definitions
- the invention is based on a radiation grill with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1, as is known from DE 10 2015 100 587 A1.
- a radiation grill food is cooked by the action of radiation in the infrared and visible spectral ranges, which is generated by one or more radiators.
- One advantage of radiation grills is that the emitters can release so much radiation energy after a very short time that the food to be grilled is cooked very quickly.
- Radiation grills as are known from DE 10 2015 100 587 A1, items to be grilled, for example a steak, are not cooked lying down as in conventional grills, but are cooked standing up by being illuminated by two radiators arranged on the side. Fat and liquid can therefore drip off the food to be grilled and collected in a pan. In combination with quick cooking times, this makes it special good taste achieved.
- Radiation grills of this type can advantageously be used in a versatile manner for cooking items to be grilled, which can be held upright with a holder between laterally arranged radiators.
- the object of the present invention is to show a way in which such a radiation grill can be used even more versatile.
- a radiation grill according to the invention can advantageously be used in two different positions.
- a first position of the radiation grill as with the radiation grill known from DE 10 2015 100 587 A1
- food to be grilled is irradiated laterally from two opposite sides, for example by being held in a clamped manner by grids of a holder.
- haze can be drawn out of the cooking space through a vent opening on an upper side of the radiation grill.
- a second position of the radiation grill it is tilted by 90 °, so that the discharge opening is no longer arranged on the top of the housing but in a side wall of the housing.
- a plate or a grill can then be pushed into the cooking space through the extraction opening.
- the radiation grill has support elements for holding such a plate in the cooking space in the second position of the radiation grill.
- the plate or dishes lying on the plate are then irradiated in the cooking space from above and possibly below.
- the radiation grill can advantageously also be used to prepare pizza or tarte flambée.
- the support elements for holding a plate pushed into the cooking space through the extraction opening can be designed, for example, as strips which are attached to the housing and extend into the cooking space starting from the extraction opening.
- a radiation grill according to the invention can therefore be used standing in its first position and lying in its second position.
- stand elements are preferably attached to two different housing walls, each of which forms the housing base in the first or second position of the radiation grill.
- feet attached to the housing or a support surface, for example a base can be provided as stand elements. It is preferred that the stand elements allow air to circulate between a base on which the radiation grill is positioned and the housing wall facing the base, for example a table top, in the first or second position of the radiation grill.
- the radiation grill has a tilting aid which makes it easier for a user to tilt the radiation grill from its first position to the second position and vice versa.
- the tilting aid can be attached to the housing of the radiation grill or can be integrated into it.
- the tilting aid facilitates the tilting of the radiation grill from the first to the second position in that, in an intermediate position, it forms a standing surface with which the radiation grill rests on the ground.
- the tilting aid preferably has an inclined surface which extends obliquely upwards from a lower edge of the radiation grill in the first position of the radiation grill.
- the inclined surface preferably extends at an angle of 30 ° to 60 ° to one of the housing walls which form the bottom of the radiation grill in the first or second position.
- the inclined surface particularly preferably encloses an angle of 40 ° to 50 ° with a housing wall which extends in the direction from the trough to the discharge opening.
- the radiation grill has a turntable on one side which forms a base in its second position. In the second position, the radiation grill lies on the turntable and can therefore be rotated on it.
- the radiation grill has a lid for closing the exhaust opening.
- the cover for closing the discharge opening can be pivotally attached to the housing, for example.
- the lid preferably has openings, for example slots, so that even when the lid is closed, in the first position of the radiation grill, haze can be drawn out of the cooking space.
- the lid can have flaps or sliders to close the perforation if necessary.
- a removable cover e.g. an attached or attached lid
- a lid can be used.
- different lids can then be used, for example in the first position a lid with openings through which vapor can escape from the cooking space, and a lid without openings for the second position of the radiation grill.
- Figure 1 shows an embodiment of a radiation grill according to the invention in its first position with the drawer open.
- the radiation grill shown in FIG. 1 has an essentially cuboid housing 1 which surrounds a cooking space in which the food to be grilled is laterally illuminated by radiators arranged opposite one another, for example halogen radiators.
- the emitters are each assigned reflectors, for example made of ceramic, especially aluminum oxide.
- a removable bracket 3 is provided.
- the extract 2 is shown in an extended position. In its retracted position, the pull-out 2 closes an opening on the front of the housing 1.
- the holder 3 can hold grilled food, for example, in a clamped manner and, for this purpose, can have two grids whose spacing from one another is adjustable.
- the pull-out 2 can have a trough 5 under the holder 3, via which the dripping liquid reaches a trough 4 arranged outside the housing 1, for example a trough 4 hooked onto the pull-out.
- a trough for collecting dripping liquid can be placed under the bracket 3 on the extract 2 or in the housing 1.
- the holder 3 can be removed from the pull-out 2, for example by being inserted into notches 21 in a carrier 20. The holder 3 can thus be removed from the radiation grill, for example for cleaning purposes.
- Haze can escape from the cooking space through a vent 6.
- the holder 3 In the inserted state of the pull-out 2, the holder 3 is then located between the discharge opening 6 and a trough or trough 5 for collecting liquid which can drip off grilled food which is held by the holder.
- the housing wall in which the exhaust opening 6 is provided thus borders with its long sides on housing sides to which the emitters are assigned for irradiating food to be grilled on both sides, and with a narrow side on the front side of the housing 1, which is closed by the extract 2 .
- the extraction opening 6 can be closed with a cover 8, which preferably has openings 9, for example elongated holes, through which the haze can draw off.
- a controller 10 for example a sensor screen
- the controller 10 can be attached, for example, to a housing wall which borders both on the front side which can be closed by the pull-out 2 and on the side of the housing which has the trigger opening 6.
- the radiation grill stands on stand elements 11.
- the stand elements 11 preferably enable air to be circulated under the radiation grill.
- the stand elements 11 are attached to a housing wall which is opposite the housing wall which has the exhaust opening 2 and which adjoins the end face which can be closed by the extract 2.
- the position of the radiation grill shown in FIG. 1 is referred to below as the first position.
- the radiation grill can be used in a second position, in which it is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 and which can also be referred to as a lying position.
- the extraction opening 6 can be used as an access to the cooking space of the radiation grill, in particular to push a plate or a grid into the cooking space, for example to prepare pizza or tarte flambée.
- Food on the plate or the grating can then be illuminated from above and below by the emitters 18, which are each assigned ceramic reflectors 17.
- the radiation grill has support elements 12.
- two plates connected by side walls can also be pushed into the cooking space, for example glass plates 13, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the holder 3 is removed from the pull-out 2 so that the cooking space can be used for a plate on which e.g. Pizza can be prepared.
- Trough 4 and, if present, channel 5 can also be removed from pull-out 2, so that these components can also be removed if the radiation grill is to be used in its second position.
- the cover 8 can be designed to be removable, so that another cover can be used for the second position of the radiation grill, which cover has no openings, for example. Another option is to swivel one attached lid 8 to use, as shown in the embodiment of FIG. 3.
- the radiation grill moves from the first position to the second position by being tilted by 90 °.
- the radiation grill has a tilting aid 14, which can be made of sheet metal, for example, and can be attached to the housing 1.
- the tilting aid can also be integrated in the housing 1.
- the tilting aid 14 advantageously has an inclined surface 15 on which the radiation grill rests in an intermediate position when tilting from its first to its second position.
- This inclined surface 15 includes an angle between 30 ° and 60 °, preferably 40 ° to 50 °, with the horizontal in the first position and with the horizontal in the second position.
- the inclined surface 15 forms a strip which is arranged both in the first and in the second position at the lower edge of the radiation grill.
- the strip has a width of at least 2 cm, for example 3 to 6 cm.
- the radiation grill is tilted in a first step to such an extent that it rests on the tilting aid 14, for example on the inclined surface 15.
- the tilting aid can also have a curved surface instead of the strip which the radiation grill weighs when tilted.
- the radiation grill is then tilted from its intermediate position, in which it rests on the tilting aid 14, into its second position.
- the radiation grill lies on a base 16, which can be formed by a plate that also forms the tilting aid 14. There can be an air gap between the base 16 and the closest housing wall, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the base can have a turntable, so that the radiation grill can be rotated on the turntable in its second position.
