Abstract

Description
本発明の実施形態は、ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化するための水素化用触媒の製造方法に関する。また、水素化用触媒を用いたジオールの製造方法に関する。
ジオールは、ポリエステル樹脂やポリウレタン樹脂、接着剤などの原料として有用な物質である。ジオールの1種としての1,4-ブタンジオールを製造する方法として、コハク酸やマレイン酸などのジカルボン酸を、触媒の存在下に水素化する方法が知られている。
従来、このような水素化用触媒としては、一般に、シリカなどの担体にパラジウムとレニウムに担持させたもの(例えば、Re-Pd/SiO2)が用いられている(特許文献1、非特許文献1参照)。しかしながら、Re-Pd/SiO2触媒は高価であるため、より安価な代替触媒の開発が望まれる。
この種の水素化用触媒として、特許文献2には、ルテニウム及び錫とともに、レニウム、モリブデン、パラジウム、銀及びニッケルから選ばれる少なくとも1つの金属を、担体に担持した触媒が開示されている。また、特許文献3には、ロジウム、イリジウム、白金、パラジウム、モリブデンを含む21種の金属のうちの少なくとも2つと、周期表第5族、6族又は7族の金属とを含む触媒が開示されている。しかしながら、パラジウム及び/又は白金と、モリブデン及び/又はコバルトとを、担体に担持させた触媒については開示されていない。
一方、非特許文献1には、シリカにパラジウムとモリブデンを担持させたMo-Pd/SiO2を液相にて413Kで還元した触媒が記載されているが、この触媒にはコハク酸の水素化反応に対する触媒活性がないと記載されている。

本発明の実施形態によれば、ジカルボン酸及び/又はジカルボン酸無水物を水素化することができる新規な水素化用触媒を提供することができる。
本実施形態に係る水素化用触媒(以下、単に「触媒」ともいう。)は、ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つ(以下、「ジカルボン酸類」ともいう。)を水素化するための触媒であって、担体と、第1金属と、第2金属と、を含むものである。
ここで、第1金属は、パラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つ(即ち、パラジウム及び/又は白金)である。第2金属は、第1の実施形態に係る水素化用触媒(以下、「触媒-1」ともいう。)ではコバルトであり、第2の実施形態に係る水素化用触媒(以下、「触媒-2」ともいう。)ではモリブデンである。なお、コバルトとモリブデンを併用することを排除するものではない。
担体としては、一般に各種触媒の担体として使用される公知の担体が挙げられ、特に限定されない。例えば、無機酸化物や活性炭等の無機物担体、イオン交換樹脂等の有機物担体等が挙げられる。一実施形態において、担体としては、触媒活性に優れる点で、無機酸化物及び/又は活性炭を用いることが好ましく、より好ましくは無機酸化物を用いることである。
無機酸化物としては、例えば、シリカ(SiO2)、チタニア(TiO2)、ジルコニア(ZrO2)、アルミナ(Al2O3)、マグネシア(MgO)、及び、これら無機酸化物の2種以上の複合体(例えば、ゼオライト)等が挙げられる。これらはいずれか1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。一実施形態において、担体としては、シリカ、チタニア及びアルミナからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を用いてもよい。
担体の比表面積としては、特に限定されないが、金属を高分散に配置でき、またその凝集を抑制する観点から、50m2/g以上であることが好ましく、例えば50~1500m2/gでもよく、100~1000m2/gでもよい。比表面積は、BET法に準拠して測定される窒素吸着比表面積である。
上記触媒において、第1金属と第2金属は上記担体に担持されている。これら第1金属及び第2金属の形態は、特に限定されず、それぞれ、例えば、金属単体でもよく、塩、酸化物、水酸化物、錯体等の金属を含む化合物の形態でもよい。金属単体とは、酸化数が0のメタル状態にあるものをいい、以下「単体」ともいう。一実施形態において、上記触媒は、第1金属の単体と、第2金属の酸化物を含むものでもよく、その場合、第2金属は酸化物の一部が還元されることで単体の状態のものが含まれてもよい。また、他の実施形態において、上記触媒は、第1金属の単体と、第2金属の単体を含むものでもよい。すなわち、上記触媒は、第1金属の単体と、第2金属の単体及び/又は酸化物を含むものでもよい。
第1金属及び第2金属は、上記担体に直接担持されてもよく、間接的に担持されてもよい。例えば、第1金属は、担体に直接担持されてもよく、第2金属を介して担体に担持されてもよく、これらが混在してもよい。また、第2金属は、担体に直接担持されてもよく、第1金属を介して担体に担持されてもよく、これらが混在してもよい。
第1金属及び第2金属は、複数種の担体を用いる場合に、同じ担体に担持されてもよく、別々の担体に担持されてもよい。好ましくは、第1金属及び第2金属は、同じ担体に担持されていることである。
第1金属の担体への担持量は、特に限定されないが、触媒全体の質量に対して金属として0.01~50質量%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは0.01~20質量%、さらに好ましくは0.5~15質量%、特に好ましくは1.0~10重量%である。第1金属の担持量が0.01質量%以上であることにより、ジカルボン酸の転化率をより向上する傾向がある。また、第1金属の担持量が50質量%以下であることにより、経済的に有利となる傾向がある。
第2金属の担体への担持量は、特に限定されないが、ジカルボン酸の転化率の観点より、第1金属に対するモル比(金属換算)で、第2金属/第1金属が、50/1~1/1が好ましく、より好ましくは32/1~8/1、さらに好ましくは32/1~12/1であり、25/1~15/1でもよい。
本実施形態に係る水素化用触媒は、金属成分として、上記第1金属及び第2金属以外の金属、例えば、ロジウム、イリジウム、ルテニウム、金、銀、銅、ニッケル等の水素化活性化金属を更に含んでいてもよい。
本実施形態に係る水素化用触媒の平均粒径は、特に限定されず、例えば、50~200μmでもよく、75~150μmでもよい。また、該触媒の形状も、特に限定されず、例えば、粉末状、粒状、成型体状等が挙げられる。
第1の実施形態に係る触媒-1は、パラジウムとコバルトを含むものでもよい。この場合、触媒-1は、パラジウムの単体とコバルトの酸化物とを含むものでもよく(酸化物の一部が還元されて単体の状態のものが含まれてもよい。)、パラジウムの単体とコバルトの単体とを含むものでもよい。
第2の実施形態に係る触媒-2は、パラジウムとモリブデンを含むものでもよい。この場合、触媒-2は、パラジウムの単体とモリブデンの酸化物とを含むものでもよく(酸化物の一部が還元されて単体の状態のものが含まれてもよい。)、パラジウムの単体とモリブデンの単体とを含むものでもよい。
本実施形態に係る水素化用触媒を製造するに際しては、第1金属と第2金属とを担体に担持させ、次いで得られた担持物を所定の温度以上で還元処理する方法を用いることができる。
担体に第1金属と第2金属を担持する方法は、特に限定されず、公知の担持方法を用いることができる。例えば、担持する金属成分の原料化合物を水などの溶媒に溶解して金属化合物の溶液を調製し、この溶液を担体に含浸させた後、乾燥させ、次いで焼成することにより、金属成分を担体に担持させることができる。
担体に各金属成分を担持させる順序については特に制限はなく、全ての金属を同時に担持しても、各成分を個別に担持してもよい。例えば、第1金属を含有する溶液を担体に含浸させ、乾燥させた後の担体に対し、第2金属を含有する溶液を含浸させ、乾燥させた後に、焼成する方法が挙げられる。
触媒調製に用いる金属成分の原料化合物としては、触媒の調製法にもよるが通常は硝酸塩、硫酸塩、塩酸塩などの鉱酸塩、酢酸塩などの有機酸塩、水酸化物、酸化物、有機金属化合物などを用いることができる。その中でも水溶性の原料化合物が好ましい。具体的には、パラジウムの原料化合物としては、塩化パラジウム、硝酸パラジウム、硫酸パラジウム、酢酸パラジウム、ジニトロジアミンパラジウム等が挙げられる。白金の原料化合物としては、塩化白金酸、塩化白金酸ナトリウム、白金アセチルアセトナート、ジニトロジアミン白金、硝酸テトラアンミン白金等が挙げられる。モリブデンの原料化合物としては、七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物、塩化モリブデン等が挙げられる。コバルトの原料化合物としては、二塩化コバルト、二臭化コバルト、二ヨウ化コバルト、二フッ化コバルト、硝酸コバルト、酢酸コバルト等が挙げられる。これらはいずれか1種用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
金属成分を含む溶液を担体に含浸させた後の乾燥は、例えば、必要に応じて減圧下、330~470Kの温度に加熱することにより行うことができる。また、乾燥後の焼成は、例えば、373~873Kの温度で窒素、空気などを流通させながら行うことができる。
本実施形態では、上記第1金属及び第2金属が担持された焼成後の上記担持物を所定の温度以上で還元処理する。このように高温で還元処理することにより、ジカルボン酸類を水素化してジオールを生成する触媒効果を高めることができる。触媒の構造は還元温度により変化し、担持した金属の酸化・還元状態が変化する。還元温度が高いほど、第2金属が酸化された状態から還元された状態になり、金属間の相乗効果により触媒活性が向上すると考えられる。
第1の実施形態に係る触媒-1を製造する際には、還元温度は400K以上とする。すなわち、第1金属とコバルトとを担体に担持させた担持物は、400K以上で還元処理する。この場合の還元温度は、好ましくは500K以上であり、より好ましくは550K以上である。還元温度の上限は、特に限定されず、例えば1500K以下でもよく、1300K以下でもよい。一実施形態において、パラジウムとコバルトを担体に担持させた担持物の場合、還元温度は400~1200Kであることが好ましく、より好ましくは500~1000Kであり、550~800Kでもよい。
第2の実施形態に係る触媒-2を製造する場合、還元温度は500K以上とする。すなわち、第1金属とモリブデンとを担体に担持させた担持物は、500K以上で還元処理する。この場合の還元温度は、好ましくは550K以上であり、より好ましくは850K以上である。還元温度の上限は、特に限定されず、例えば1500K以下でもよく、1300K以下でもよい。一実施形態において、パラジウムとモリブデンを担体に担持させた担持物の場合、還元温度は650~1400Kであることが好ましく、より好ましくは800~1300Kであり、更に好ましくは1000~1200Kである。
還元処理は、気相還元と液相還元のいずれでもよいが、好ましくは気相で還元処理を行う気相還元である。気相還元は、上記担持物を気相にて還元性ガスと接触させることにより行うことができる。還元性ガスとしては、水素、ヒドラジン蒸気、ホルマリン、一酸化炭素等を用いることができる。例えば、上記焼成した担持物を容器に仕込み、所望の温度に昇温した後に、容器に還元性ガスを充填することにより還元を行ってもよく、容器に還元性ガスを流通させることにより還元を行ってもよい。
本実施形態に係る水素化用触媒は、ジカルボン酸類を水素化するために用いることができる。好ましくは、ジカルボン酸類からジオールを製造するための触媒として用いることである。以下、好ましい実施形態に係るジオールの製造方法について説明する。
実施形態に係るジオールの製造方法は、上記のように第1金属と第2金属を担体に担持してなる担持物を所定の温度以上で還元処理した後、還元した担持物を触媒として用いて、該触媒の存在下にジカルボン酸類を水素化してジオールを製造することである。
還元処理における還元温度については、上述したとおりであり、第2金属がコバルトの場合(上記触媒-1の場合)には400K以上とし、モリブデンの場合(上記触媒-2の場合)には500K以上とする。触媒-1および触媒-2ともに、好ましい還元温度については上述したとおりである。なお、還元処理後の触媒は、金属の酸化・還元状態等が変化しやすいので、還元処理後、直ちに水素化反応に供することが好ましい。
水素化反応は、ジカルボン酸類と、上記還元した触媒と、水素源とを接触させることによって、対応するジオールを製造するものである。
ジカルボン酸類としては、例えば、シュウ酸、マロン酸、コハク酸、グルタル酸、アジピン酸、ピメリン酸、スベリン酸、アゼライン酸、セバシン酸、メチルコハク酸などの脂肪族飽和ジカルボン酸およびこれらの酸無水物が挙げられる。また、フマル酸、マレイン酸、グルタコン酸、シトラコン酸などの脂肪族不飽和ジカルボン酸およびこれらの酸無水物が挙げられる。これらはいずれか1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。これらの中でも、ジカルボン酸類としては、コハク酸、無水コハク酸、マレイン酸、及び無水マレイン酸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を用いることが好ましい。
水素源としては、水素を提供する化合物ならば特に限定されず、例えば、水素ガス、アンモニアガス等の還元性ガス(窒素、ヘリウム、アルゴン等の不活性ガスで希釈されていてもよい)、水、アルコール、ギ酸などが挙げられ、好ましくは還元性ガス、より好ましくは水素ガスを用いることである。水素源の量は、特に限定されず、例えば、ジカルボン酸類1モルに対して、5~200モルでもよく、10~160モルでもよい。
上記触媒の量は、特に限定されず、例えば、担持した金属原子換算で、ジカルボン酸類1モルに対して、0.0005~0.1モルでもよく、0.001~0.075モルでもよい。
上記水素化反応は、溶媒中で行うことが好ましい。使用する溶媒としては反応を阻害しないものであれば特に限定されず、例えば、水; メタノール、エタノール、イソプロピルアルコール、n-ブチルアルコール等のアルコール; ヘプタン、ヘキサン、シクロヘキサン、トルエン等の炭化水素; N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド等のアミド類; ジエチルエーテル、ジイソプロピルエーテル、1,2-ジメトキシメタン、ジエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル、テトラヒドロフラン、1,4-ジオキサン等のエーテル類; 塩化メチレン、ジクロロエタン、クロロシクロヘキサン等のハロゲン化炭化水素類が挙げられる。これらのうち、好ましくは水、炭化水素類、エーテル類であり、より好ましくは水、エーテル類である。なお、これらの溶媒は、いずれか1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。溶媒の使用量は、特に限定されず、ジカルボン酸類1gに対して、例えば0.05~100gでもよく、1~30gでもよい。
上記水素化反応は、例えば、ジカルボン酸類、触媒及び溶媒を混合し、水素源の存在下にて、攪拌しながら反応させる等の方法によって行われる。反応温度は、特に限定されず、例えば300~600Kでもよく、400~500Kでもよい。反応圧力は、特に限定されず、例えば、水素分圧として常圧~20MPaでもよく、3~15MPaでもよく、5~10MPaでもよい。反応時間は、特に限定されず、例えば、1~120時間でもよく、4~120時間でもよく、10~100時間でもよく、20~80時間でもよい。
上記水素化反応の反応形態は、触媒の形態により回分式(バッチ式)又は連続式のいずれの方法も選択することができる。また、触媒の性質により均一系、及び不均一系(懸濁反応)のどちらの反応系でも実施できる。
本実施形態に係るジオールの製造方法により得られるジオールは、原料となるジカルボン酸類に対応したジオールであり、当該ジカルボン酸類の2つのカルボキシル基をヒドロキシル基に置き換えたジオールが得られる。なお、原料として不飽和ジカルボン酸を用いた場合、水素化反応によって炭素-炭素二重結合が水添されて飽和ジオールが得られる。
例えば、ジカルボン酸類として、コハク酸、無水コハク酸、マレイン酸、及び無水マレイン酸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を基質として用いた場合、これらは中間体であるγ-ブチロラクトンを経由して、1,4-ブタンジオールに変換されるので、上記触媒は1,4-ブタンジオールの製造に利用することができる。
得られたジオールは、例えば、ポリエステル樹脂やポリウレタン樹脂、接着剤などの原料として用いることができる。
以下、実施例を示すが、本発明はこれらの実施例に限定されるものではない。
[製造例1]Mo-Pd触媒(MoOx-Pd/SiO2)の調製
シリカ(SiO2)(富士シリシア化学(株)製、商品名「CARiACT G-6」、比表面積:485m2/g、細孔容積:0.74mL/g、充填密度:0.49g/mL、含水率:0.2質量%、平均粒径:75~150μm、前処理:973K,1時間)を担体として用いた。

5mLサンプル瓶に硝酸パラジウム(Pd(NO3)2)溶液(和光純薬工業(株)製、10質量%Pd(NO3)2)を0.43g入れて、蒸留水で5gに希釈した。100mLビーカーにシリカ1.6gを入れ、ホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、希釈した硝酸パラジウム溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づき、十分混ぜながら担持を行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。
小瓶に七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物((NH4)6Mo7O24・4H2O、和光純薬工業(株)製、99.0%)を0.664g入れ、蒸留水を加えて5gの水溶液を調製した。上記のパラジウムを担持させたシリカが入ったビーカーをホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、調製した七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づいた担持を、パラジウムに対するモリブデンのモル比がMo/Pd=20になるまで、繰り返し行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。その後、得られた担持物をマッフル炉に入れ、昇温速度10K/分で673Kまで加熱した後、673K、3時間(昇温速度:10K/分)で焼成し、Mo-Pd触媒(MoOx-Pd/SiO2)を得た(パラジウムの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で1.0質量%。Mo/Pd=20/1(モル比))。ここで、MoOxにはx=0(即ち、酸化数0の単体)のものが含まれてもよい。
[製造例2]Co-Pd触媒(CoOx-Pd/SiO2)の調製
5mLサンプル瓶に硝酸パラジウム(Pd(NO3)2)溶液(和光純薬工業(株)製、10質量%Pd(NO3)2)を0.43g入れて、蒸留水で5gに希釈した。100mLビーカーにシリカ(SiO2)(富士シリシア化学(株)製、商品名「CARiACT G-6」)1.7gを入れ、ホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、希釈した硝酸パラジウム溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づき、十分混ぜながら担持を行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。
5mLサンプル瓶に硝酸パラジウム(Pd(NO3)2)溶液(和光純薬工業(株)製、10質量%Pd(NO3)2)を0.43g入れて、蒸留水で5gに希釈した。100mLビーカーにシリカ(SiO2)(富士シリシア化学(株)製、商品名「CARiACT G-6」)1.7gを入れ、ホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、希釈した硝酸パラジウム溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づき、十分混ぜながら担持を行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。
小瓶に硝酸コバルト((Co(NO3)2・6H2O、和光純薬工業(株)製、98.0%)を1.09g入れ、蒸留水を加えて5gの水溶液を調製した。上記のパラジウムを担持させたシリカが入ったビーカーをホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、調製した七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づいた担持を、パラジウムに対するコバルトのモル比がCo/Pd=20になるまで、繰り返し行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。その後、得られた担持物をマッフル炉に入れ、昇温速度10K/分で673Kまで加熱した後、673K、3時間で焼成し、Co-Pd触媒(CoOx-Pd/SiO2)を得た(パラジウムの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で1.0質量%。Co/Pd=20/1(モル比))。ここで、CoOxにはx=0(即ち、酸化数0の単体)のものが含まれてもよい。
[製造例3]Mo触媒(MoOx/SiO2)の調製
5mLサンプル瓶に七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物((NH4)6Mo7O24・4H2O、和光純薬工業(株)製、99.0%)を0.66g入れ、蒸留水を加えて5gの水溶液を調製した。100mLビーカーに、シリカ(SiO2)(富士シリシア化学(株)製、商品名「CARiACT G-6」)を1.64g入れ、ホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム四水和物溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づき、十分混ぜながら担持を行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。その後、得られた担持物をマッフル炉に入れ、昇温速度10K/分で673Kまで加熱した後、673K、3時間で焼成し、Mo触媒(MoOx/SiO2)を得た(モリブデンの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で18質量%)。

[製造例4]Pd触媒(Pd/SiO2)の調製
5mLサンプル瓶に硝酸パラジウム(Pd(NO3)2)溶液(和光純薬工業(株)製、10質量%Pd(NO3)2)を0.43g入れて、蒸留水で5gに希釈した。100mLビーカーにシリカ(SiO2)(富士シリシア化学(株)製、商品名「CARiACT G-6」)1.98gを入れ、ホットスターラーで353~363Kに加熱しながら、希釈した硝酸パラジウム溶液5gを少量ずつビーカーに加え、逐次含浸法(incipient-wetness法)に基づき、十分混ぜながら担持を行った。スターラー上で水分を飛ばした後、383Kのオーブンで一晩乾燥させた。その後、得られた担持物をマッフル炉に入れ、昇温速度10K/分で673Kまで加熱した後、673K、3時間で焼成し、Pd触媒(Pd/SiO2)を得た(パラジウムの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で1.0質量%)。

[製造例5]Co-Pd触媒(CoOx-Pd/SiO2)の調製
パラジウムに対するコバルトのモル比をCo/Pd=8、12、16及び32に変更し、その他は製造例2と同様にして、モル比の異なる4つのCo-Pd触媒(CoOx-Pd/SiO2)を得た(パラジウムの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で1.0質量%。Co/Pd=8、12、16、32(モル比))。
パラジウムに対するコバルトのモル比をCo/Pd=8、12、16及び32に変更し、その他は製造例2と同様にして、モル比の異なる4つのCo-Pd触媒(CoOx-Pd/SiO2)を得た(パラジウムの担持量は触媒全体質量に対して金属換算で1.0質量%。Co/Pd=8、12、16、32(モル比))。
[実施例1]
製造例1で得られたMo-Pd触媒(MoOx-Pd/SiO2)0.2gを石英ガラス製の反応管(内径4mm、外径6mm、長さ35cm)に入れ、還元装置にセットした。窒素置換後に、昇温速度10K/分で673Kまで加熱した後、水素流通下で還元温度673K、還元時間1時間の条件で気相還元し、冷却した。
窒素置換したグローブボックス内で、コハク酸(和光純薬工業(株)製、99.5%)1.0gと、溶媒として1,4-ジオキサン(和光純薬工業(株)製、99.5%)19gの入ったオートクレーブ(高圧回分式反応装置、容積:190mL)に、還元後のMo-Pd触媒0.10gを入れ、オートクレーブを密閉した。次いで、オートクレーブに水素を1MPa入れ、リアクターで473Kまで昇温した。昇温後、水素を8MPa入れて、攪拌速度500rpmにて4時間の水素化反応を行った。反応終了後、水浴で冷却し、液相及び気相を回収し、回収物について、下記の分析方法により生成物の分析を行った。

気相還元での還元温度を下記表1に示すとおり、実施例2では873K、実施例3では1073K、実施例4では1173K、実施例5では1273K、比較例1では473Kに変更し、その他は実施例1と同様にして気相還元及び水素化反応を行い、得られた生成物の分析を行った。

[比較例3]
製造例4で得られたPd触媒(Pd/SiO2)0.2gを石英ガラス製の反応管(内径4mm、外径6mm、長さ35cm)に入れ、還元装置にセットした。窒素置換後に、昇温速度10K/分で1173Kまで加熱した後、水素流通下で還元温度1173K、還元時間1時間の条件で気相還元し、冷却した。還元後のPd触媒0.10gを用いて、実施例1と同様のコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。
製造例4で得られたPd触媒(Pd/SiO2)0.2gを石英ガラス製の反応管(内径4mm、外径6mm、長さ35cm)に入れ、還元装置にセットした。窒素置換後に、昇温速度10K/分で1173Kまで加熱した後、水素流通下で還元温度1173K、還元時間1時間の条件で気相還元し、冷却した。還元後のPd触媒0.10gを用いて、実施例1と同様のコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。
生成物の分析条件は以下の通りであり、ガスクロマトグラフ(GC)装置((株)島津製作所製「GC-2014」)を用いて、液成分については「GC-FID」により、ガス成分については「メタネーター付きGC-FID」により測定した。但し、コハク酸は沸点が高くGCで測定困難であるためHPLC((株)島津製作所製「LC-20AD」)で測定した。

・流速:0.9000mL/min, 圧力:6.0 MPa, カラム温度:323 K
表1に示すように、Mo-Pd触媒について、還元温度が473Kである比較例1に対し、より高温で還元した実施例1~5では、転化率が顕著に向上しており、また中間体であるγ-ブチロラクトンの選択率が大きく、テトラヒドロフランの選択率が小さかった。Co-Pd触媒についても、実施例6~10によれば、400K以上の高温で還元することにより、高い転化率が得られ、γ-ブチロラクトンの選択率が大きく、テトラヒドロフランの選択率が小さかった。
なお、実施例1,9及び10では、1,4-ブタンジオールが生成されていないが、これらはγ-ブチロラクトンの選択率が高く、γ-ブチロラクトンは後述する実施例から分かるように水素化反応の反応時間を長くすることによって1,4-ブタンジオールに変換されると考えられるため、1,4-ブタンジオールの製造用触媒として有用性であることが分かる。
[実施例11~16]
実施例4において1173Kで気相還元したMo-Pd触媒を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を下記表2に記載のとおり、実施例11では12時間、実施例12では24時間、実施例13では48時間、実施例14では72時間、実施例15では96時間、実施例16では120時間とし、その他は実施例4と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。表2には実施例4の結果も示した。
実施例4において1173Kで気相還元したMo-Pd触媒を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を下記表2に記載のとおり、実施例11では12時間、実施例12では24時間、実施例13では48時間、実施例14では72時間、実施例15では96時間、実施例16では120時間とし、その他は実施例4と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。表2には実施例4の結果も示した。
[実施例17~21]
実施例7において573Kで気相還元したCo-Pd触媒を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を下記表2に記載のとおり、実施例17では12時間、実施例18では24時間、実施例19では48時間、実施例20では72時間、実施例21では96時間とし、その他は実施例7と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。表2には実施例7の結果も示した。
実施例7において573Kで気相還元したCo-Pd触媒を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を下記表2に記載のとおり、実施例17では12時間、実施例18では24時間、実施例19では48時間、実施例20では72時間、実施例21では96時間とし、その他は実施例7と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。表2には実施例7の結果も示した。
表2に示すように、水素化反応の反応時間を長くすることにより1,4-ブタンジオールの選択率を高めることができた。実施例4及び11~16に示されるように、Mo-Pd触媒では、水素化反応の反応時間を約20時間以上とすることで転化率を約100%とすることができ、また、該反応時間を約20~100時間、更には約20~80時間とすることで1,4-ブタンジオールの選択率を顕著に高めることができた。実施例7,17~21に示されるように、Co-Pd触媒では、水素化反応の反応時間を約20時間以上とすることで転化率を約100%とすることができ、また、1,4-ブタンジオールの選択率を顕著に高めることができた。また、Co-Pd触媒では、γ-ブチロラクトンから1,4-ブタンジオールへの水素化が促進され、1,4-ブタンジオールからテトラヒドロフランへの脱水は遅いため、反応時間を延ばすことにより1,4-ブタンジオールの収率が増加し、Mo-Pd触媒よりも最高収率が高かった。
[実施例22~26]
実施例22では、実施例7において573Kで気相還元したCo-Pd触媒(Co/Pd(モル比)=20)を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を2時間とし、その他は実施例7と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。実施例23~26では、製造例5で得られたCo-Pd触媒(Co/Pd(モル比)=8,12,16及び32)を用いて、実施例7と同様、573Kで1時間、気相還元し、その後、実施例22と同様に、2時間水素化反応を行い、得られた生成物の分析を行った。結果は表3に示す。
実施例22では、実施例7において573Kで気相還元したCo-Pd触媒(Co/Pd(モル比)=20)を用いて、水素化反応の反応時間を2時間とし、その他は実施例7と同様にしてコハク酸の水素化反応を行い、生成物の分析を行った。実施例23~26では、製造例5で得られたCo-Pd触媒(Co/Pd(モル比)=8,12,16及び32)を用いて、実施例7と同様、573Kで1時間、気相還元し、その後、実施例22と同様に、2時間水素化反応を行い、得られた生成物の分析を行った。結果は表3に示す。
表3に示すように、Co-Pd触媒において、Co/Pdのモル比8~32の間では、Co担持量の増加に伴って,コハク酸水素化における活性及び1,4-ブタンジオールの収率が向上し,Co/Pd=32で活性が最大となった。なお、これら実施例22~26では、1,4-ブタンジオールの生成量が少ないが、これらはγ-ブチロラクトンの選択率が高く、γ-ブチロラクトンは水素化反応の反応時間を長くすることによって1,4-ブタンジオールに変換されると考えられるため、いずれも1,4-ブタンジオールの製造用触媒として有用性であることが分かる。

Claims (8)
- ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化するための水素化用触媒の製造方法であって、
パラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、コバルトとを、担体に担持させること、及び、
得られた担持物を400K以上で還元処理すること、を含む、
水素化用触媒の製造方法。 - ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化するための水素化用触媒の製造方法であって、
パラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、モリブデンとを、担体に担持させること、及び、
得られた担持物を500K以上で還元処理すること、を含む、
水素化用触媒の製造方法。 - 前記還元処理が気相での還元処理である、請求項1又は2に記載の水素化用触媒の製造方法。
- パラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、コバルトとを、担体に担持してなる担持物を400K以上で還元処理すること、及び、
還元した担持物を触媒として用いて、前記触媒の存在下にジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化してジオールを製造すること、
を含む、ジオールの製造方法。 - パラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、モリブデンとを、担体に担持してなる担持物を500K以上で還元処理すること、及び、
還元した担持物を触媒として用いて、前記触媒の存在下にジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化してジオールを製造すること、
を含む、ジオールの製造方法。 - 前記還元処理が気相での還元処理である、請求項4又は5に記載のジオールの製造方法。
- ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化するための水素化用触媒であって、担体と、前記担体に担持されたパラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、前記担体に担持されたコバルトと、を含み、400K以上で還元処理して得られる、水素化用触媒。
- ジカルボン酸又はその酸無水物のうちの少なくとも1つを水素化するための水素化用触媒であって、担体と、前記担体に担持されたパラジウム又は白金のうちの少なくとも1つと、前記担体に担持されたモリブデンと、を含み、500K以上で還元処理して得られる、水素化用触媒。
