Description

ワイヤハーネス
 本発明は、ワイヤハーネスに関する。
 従来、車両には、所定の配索経路に沿ってワイヤハーネスを配索するためのプロテクタが設けられている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。同文献1のプロテクタは、電線を収容可能な凹部を有するプロテクタ本体と、凹部の開口を閉塞する蓋部材とを備えている。所定の配索経路に対応した形状のプロテクタを用いることにより、プロテクタ内に収容されたワイヤハーネスの経路が規制される。
 また、ワイヤハーネスにおいては、所定の配索経路に沿って曲げられたアルミニウムなどからなる棒状の経路規制部材(添え木とも称される)に電線を沿わせた状態でこれら電線及び経路規制部材が粘着テープにより留められた留め部を備えたものがある。こうしたワイヤハーネスでは、経路規制部材の長さ方向において複数の留め部が互いに間隔をおいて設けられている。

 ところで、特許文献1に記載のワイヤハーネスにおいては、プロテクタによって電線の外周が覆われることから、ワイヤハーネスの体格が大きくなる。そのため、ワイヤハーネスを配索するための大きなスペースが必要となるといった不都合が生じる。
 また、上述した経路規制部材を備えるワイヤハーネスの場合、各留め部においては電線と経路規制部材とを留めることができるものの、留め部同士の間においては、経路規制部材にねじれが生じやすく、ワイヤハーネスが所定の配索経路からずれるおそれがある。
 本発明の目的は、簡易な構成により配索経路を規制できるワイヤハーネスを提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成するためのワイヤハーネスは、芯線及び前記芯線の外周を覆う被覆部材を有する電線と、前記芯線よりも高い剛性を有し、前記芯線の両端間において前記芯線と隣接して設けられるとともに前記芯線と共に前記被覆部材により被覆されることで前記電線の経路を規制する経路規制部材と、を備える。
 同構成によれば、経路規制部材が、芯線の両端間において芯線と隣接して設けられるとともに芯線と共に被覆部材によって被覆されているため、経路規制部材が芯線に対して固定される。このため、ワイヤハーネスの配索経路に対応した形状の経路規制部材を用いることにより、電線の経路を規制することができる。これにより、芯線の軸線を中心とした周方向において芯線に対して経路規制部材が相対変位することを抑制できる。また、上記構成によれば、電線の外周を覆うプロテクタを用いて電線の経路を規制する構成と比較して、ワイヤハーネスの体格の増大を抑制できる。したがって、簡易な構成によりワイヤハーネスの配索経路を規制できる。
 上記ワイヤハーネスにおいて、前記経路規制部材は、前記芯線の長さ方向の一部に対応して設けられており、前記被覆部材は、前記長さ方向において前記経路規制部材が設けられていない部分の前記芯線の外周を被覆する第1被覆部材と、前記芯線及び前記経路規制部材の双方の外周を被覆する第2被覆部材とを有することが好ましい。
 例えば芯線の長さ方向の全体にわたって経路規制部材を設ける場合には、それぞれ直線状に延びる芯線と経路規制部材とを互いに隣接させた状態でこれら芯線及び経路規制部材の外周が上記長さ方向の全体にわたって被覆部材により被覆される。この場合、ワイヤハーネスの所定の部位を配索経路に対応した形状に曲げるべく経路規制部材、芯線、及び被覆部材を同時に曲げる作業が必要となる。ただし、被覆部材の剛性が高い場合には、上記の曲げ作業が困難となり、ワイヤハーネスの配索作業が困難となるおそれがある。
 この点、上記構成によれば、例えば芯線をその長さ方向の全体にわたって第1被覆部材により被覆した後、第1被覆部材のうち芯線に経路規制部材が隣接される予定の部分を除去する。そして、予め所定の形状に成形された経路規制部材に芯線を沿わせた状態でこれら芯線及び経路規制部材の双方の外周を第2被覆部材によって被覆することにより、ワイヤハーネスを製造することができる。このようにしてワイヤハーネスを製造すれば、経路規制部材、芯線、及び被覆部材を同時に曲げる作業を行わなくて済む。したがって、ワイヤハーネスの配索作業を容易に行うことができる。
 上記ワイヤハーネスにおいて、第2被覆部材は、熱収縮チューブであることが好ましい。
 同構成によれば、経路規制部材に芯線を沿わせた状態でこれら経路規制部材及び芯線の外周を第2被覆部材によって被覆することが容易にできる。
 上記ワイヤハーネスにおいて、前記経路規制部材は、前記芯線と同一の金属からなることが好ましい。
 同構成によれば、芯線に隣接する経路規制部材が芯線と同一の金属で形成されているため、経路規制部材と芯線との電食を抑制することができる。
 本発明によれば、簡易な構成によりワイヤハーネスの配索経路を規制できる。

 以下、図1~図3を参照して、一実施形態について説明する。
 図1に示すように、ワイヤハーネス10は、例えばハイブリッド車や電気自動車などの車両90の床下を含む経路に配索されるものであり、車両90の前部に配置されるモータ91と、車両90の後部に配置されるインバータ92とを電気的に接続する。
 図2及び図3に示すように、ワイヤハーネス10は、芯線21と芯線21の外周を覆う筒状の第1被覆部材22とを有する電線20を備えている。なお、電線20は1本でもよいし、複数本でもよい。芯線21は、例えば、銅合金からなる複数の金属素線を撚り合わせて形成される撚り線である。第1被覆部材22は、例えば、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)などの絶縁材料を押出成形することにより形成されている。芯線21の両端部には、第1被覆部材22が設けられておらず、モータ91やインバータ92に接続される端子(図示略)が設けられている。
 ワイヤハーネス10には、電線20の経路を規制する複数の経路規制部材が設けられている。
 次に、こうした経路規制部材のうち電線20の直線部及び屈曲部における経路規制構造について説明する。
 <直線部>
 図2に示すように、ワイヤハーネス10の電線20のうち車両90の床下に沿って延びる直線部(図1のA部)には、芯線21の長さ方向において第1被覆部材22により被覆されておらず芯線21が露出した露出部23が設けられている。露出部23は、芯線21の長さ方向の全体にわたって設けられた第1被覆部材22の一部を除去することにより形成される。
 芯線21のうち露出部23の部分には、芯線21よりも高い剛性を有する経路規制部材30が芯線21に隣接して設けられている。経路規制部材30は、芯線21と同一の金属材料(本実施形態では、銅合金)からなる丸棒である。経路規制部材30の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積は、電線20の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積と略同一である。
 露出部23には、芯線21と経路規制部材30との双方の外周を被覆する第2被覆部材40が設けられている。第2被覆部材40は、芯線21及び経路規制部材30を被覆するとともに、露出部23に隣接する第1被覆部材22の両端部の外周を被覆している。第2被覆部材40は、ポリオレフィン系樹脂などからなる熱収縮チューブである。

 図3に示すように、ワイヤハーネス10の電線20のうち配索経路が屈曲する屈曲部(図1のB部)には、芯線21が第1被覆部材22により被覆されていない露出部24が設けられている。芯線21のうち露出部24の部分には、配索経路に沿った屈曲形状を有する経路規制部材31が芯線21に隣接して設けられている。なお、経路規制部材31は、芯線21よりも高い剛性を有しており、例えば直線部の経路規制部材30と同一の材料(本実施形態では、銅合金)からなる丸棒である。芯線21のうち露出部24の部分は、経路規制部材31に沿って屈曲している。この状態で、芯線21と経路規制部材31との双方の外周が第2被覆部材41により被覆されている。なお、第2被覆部材41は、直線部の第2被覆部材40と同一の熱収縮チューブである。
 次に、ワイヤハーネス10の製造手順について説明する。
 まず、芯線21をその長さ方向の全体にわたって第1被覆部材22により被覆する。その後、第1被覆部材22のうち芯線21に経路規制部材30、31が隣接される予定の部分を除去することにより芯線21が第1被覆部材22により被覆されていない露出部23,24を形成する。そして、予め所定の形状(直線形状や屈曲形状)に成形された経路規制部材30,31に芯線21を沿わせた状態でこれら芯線21及び経路規制部材30,31の双方の外周に第2被覆部材40,41を構成する熱収縮チューブを被せる。そして、熱収縮チューブを加熱して収縮させることで、熱収縮チューブは経路規制部材30,31及び芯線21に密着する。このようにして、ワイヤハーネス10が製造される。
 本実施形態の作用について説明する。
 露出部23、24には、芯線21よりも高い剛性を有する経路規制部材30,31が芯線21に隣接して設けられている。そして、芯線21と経路規制部材30,31との双方の外周が第2被覆部材40,41により被覆されることで、経路規制部材30,31が芯線21に対して固定される。したがって、露出部23,24における芯線21は、経路規制部材30,31の形状に沿うこととなる。
 また、第2被覆部材40,41により、芯線21の軸線を中心とした周方向において芯線21に対して経路規制部材30,31が相対変位することを抑制できる。
 本実施形態の効果について説明する。
 (1)ワイヤハーネス10は、芯線21及び芯線21の外周を覆う第1被覆部材22を有する電線20と、芯線21よりも高い剛性を有し、芯線21の両端間において芯線21と隣接して設けられるとともに芯線21と共に第2被覆部材40,41により被覆されることで電線20の経路を規制する経路規制部材30,31とを備える。
 こうした構成によれば、上記作用を奏することから、ワイヤハーネス10の配索経路に対応した形状の経路規制部材30,31を用いることにより、電線20の経路を規制することができる。また、上記構成によれば、電線20の外周を覆うプロテクタを用いて電線20の経路を規制する構成と比較して、ワイヤハーネス10の体格の増大を抑制できる。したがって、簡易な構成によりワイヤハーネスの配索経路を規制できる。
 (2)経路規制部材30,31は、芯線21の長さ方向の一部に対応して設けられている。
 例えば芯線21の長さ方向の全体にわたって経路規制部材30,31を設ける場合には、それぞれ直線状に延びる芯線21と経路規制部材とを互いに隣接させた状態でこれら芯線21及び経路規制部材の外周が上記長さ方向の全体にわたって被覆部材により被覆される。この場合、ワイヤハーネスの所定の部位を配索経路に対応した形状に曲げるべく経路規制部材、芯線21、及び被覆部材を同時に曲げる作業が必要となる。ただし、被覆部材の剛性が高い場合には、上記の曲げ作業が困難となり、ワイヤハーネスの配索作業が困難となるおそれがある。
 この点、上記構成によれば、予め所定の形状に成形された経路規制部材30,31に芯線21を沿わせた状態でこれら芯線21及び経路規制部材30,31の双方の外周を第2被覆部材40,41によって被覆することにより、ワイヤハーネス10を製造することができる。このようにしてワイヤハーネス10を製造すれば、経路規制部材30,31、芯線21、及び第1被覆部材22を同時に曲げる作業を行わなくて済む。したがって、ワイヤハーネス10の配索作業を容易に行うことができる。
 (3)第2被覆部材40,41は、熱収縮チューブである。このため、経路規制部材30,31に芯線21を沿わせた状態でこれら経路規制部材30,31及び芯線21の外周を第2被覆部材40,41によって被覆することが容易にできる。
 (4)経路規制部材30,31が芯線21と同一の金属材料(銅合金)からなるため、経路規制部材30,31と芯線21との電食を抑制することができる。
 (5)経路規制部材30,31が金属材料からなるため、例えば経路規制部材が樹脂材料からなる場合と比較して、曲げ加工や形状の修正が容易となる。
 本実施形態は、以下のように変更して実施することができる。本実施形態及び以下の変更例は、技術的に矛盾しない範囲で互いに組み合わせて実施することができる。
 ・経路規制部材30,31の形状は丸棒に限定されない。他に例えば、図4に示すように、芯線21に沿って延びるとともに断面U字状をなす経路規制部材230を採用することもできる。この場合、経路規制部材230の凹部230aに芯線21を収容するとともに、第2被覆部材240により芯線21と経路規制部材230とを被覆すればよい。これにより、ワイヤハーネスの体格の増大を一層抑制できる。また、芯線21を経路規制部材230に容易に沿わせることができる。
 ・経路規制部材30,31は銅合金に限定されない。他に例えば、アルミニウムなどの他の金属材料によって経路規制部材を形成することもできる。また、樹脂材料によって経路規制部材を形成することもできる。この場合、予めワイヤハーネスの配索経路に沿った所定の形状に型成形すればよい。
 ・経路規制部材30の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積は、電線20の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積と略同一でなくてもよい。要は、経路規制部材30が電線20の経路を規制できればよく、例えば、経路規制部材30の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積が、電線20の長さ方向に直交する断面の断面積より小さくてもよい。
 ・熱収縮チューブに代えて、樹脂モールドにより芯線21のうち露出部23,24の部分を被覆してもよい。この場合、電線20の端末から浸入した水が露出部23,24に至ることを効果的に抑制できる。このため、経路規制部材30,31と芯線21との電食を抑制できる。また、これにより、経路規制部材と芯線とを異種金属により構成することもできる。
 ・芯線21が第1被覆部材22により被覆されていない露出部を第1被覆部材22の周方向における一部を除去することで形成し、同露出部に経路規制部材を設けることもできる。
 ・芯線21が第1被覆部材22により被覆されていない露出部を芯線21の端部と第1被覆部材22との間の部分に形成し、同露出部に経路規制部材を設けることもできる。
 ・芯線21と経路規制部材30とを第2被覆部材40により被覆した後に、芯線21、経路規制部材30、及び第2被覆部材40を配索経路の形状に沿って同時に曲げるようにしてもよい。
 ・第2被覆部材を省略することもできる。すなわち、図5に示すように、第1被覆部材122によって芯線121及び経路規制部材130を被覆するようにしてもよい。
 ・芯線21は銅合金からなるものに限定されない。他に例えば、アルミニウム合金などの導電性に優れた金属を用いることもできる。

Claims (4)

  1.  芯線及び前記芯線の外周を覆う被覆部材を有する電線と、
     前記芯線よりも高い剛性を有し、前記芯線の両端間において前記芯線と隣接して設けられるとともに前記芯線と共に前記被覆部材により被覆されることで前記電線の経路を規制する経路規制部材と、を備える、
     ワイヤハーネス。
  2.  前記経路規制部材は、前記芯線の長さ方向の一部に対応して設けられており、
     前記被覆部材は、前記長さ方向において前記経路規制部材が設けられていない部分の前記芯線の外周を被覆する第1被覆部材と、前記芯線及び前記経路規制部材の双方の外周を被覆する第2被覆部材とを有する、
     請求項1に記載のワイヤハーネス。
  3.  前記第2被覆部材は、熱収縮チューブである、
     請求項2に記載のワイヤハーネス。
  4.  前記経路規制部材は、前記芯線と同一の金属材料からなる、
     請求項1~請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のワイヤハーネス。
