- the rail has an upper surface inclined so as to become lower toward the center of the step in the left-right direction.
- the upper surface of the rail is inclined so as to become lower toward the center side of the step in the left-right direction. For this reason, the horizontal displacement of the step can be suppressed with a simple configuration.
- FIG. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main part of the escalator in Embodiment 1.
- FIG. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a drive roller and a mold in the first embodiment.
- an escalator will be specifically described as an example of a passenger conveyor. Description of other passenger conveyors such as moving walkways is omitted.
- FIG. 1 is a side view showing the structure of the escalator.
- the escalator includes a truss 1 and a plurality of steps 2.
- the truss 1 is spanned between the upper floor and the lower floor.
- the plurality of steps 2 are connected by an endless step chain, for example.
- a pair of rails 3 that guide the steps 2 are provided inside the truss 1, a pair of rails 3 that guide the steps 2 are provided inside the truss 1, a pair of rails 3 that guide the steps 2 are provided inside the truss 1, a pair of rails 3 that guide the steps 2 are provided.
- the pair of rails 3 are disposed on the left and right sides of the step 2 along the traveling direction of the step 2.
- the step 2 circulates between the upper floor and the lower floor as a driving device (not shown) operates.
- FIG. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the main part of the escalator in the first embodiment.
- FIG. 2 schematically shows a cross section of the escalator viewed from the direction of travel of the step 2.
- skirt guards 4 are provided on the left and right of the step 2.
- the step 2 includes a pair of brackets 5, a step board 6, and a pair of guide pads 7.
- the tread board 6 is supported from below by the bracket 5.
- the guide pad 7 is provided, for example, at the tip of a branch member that protrudes from the bracket 5 in the left-right direction.
- the guide pad 7 faces the skirt guard 4.
- the guide pad 7 is located closer to the skirt guard 4 than the end of the tread plate 6 in the left-right direction.
- the guide pad 7 is provided to prevent the tread board 6 and the skirt guard 4 from coming into direct contact.
- the guide pad 7 contacts the skirt guard 4 when the step 2 is displaced in the left-right direction.
- the guide pad 7 worn by sliding with the skirt guard 4 is replaced.
- the escalator includes a pair of drive rollers 8.
- the drive roller 8 supports the step 2 via an axis extending in the left-right direction.
- the drive roller 8 is supported by the rail 3.
- the drive roller 8 travels on the upper surface of the rail 3.
- the width of the upper surface of the rail 3 is larger than the width of the rolling surface 8 a of the driving roller 8.
- the drive roller 8 has, for example, a bearing not shown in FIG.
- the upper surface of the left rail 3 is inclined so as to become lower toward the right side.
- the upper surface of the right rail 3 is inclined so as to become lower toward the left side. That is, the upper surface of the rail 3 is inclined so as to become lower toward the center side of the step 2 in the left-right direction.
- the inclination angle of the upper surface of the right rail 3 is, for example, the same as the inclination angle of the upper surface of the left rail 3.
- a member having the same shape as that of the left rail 3 can be used as the right rail 3.
- the left drive roller 8 is formed in a shape whose diameter increases toward the right side.
- the right drive roller 8 is formed in a shape whose diameter increases toward the left side. That is, the rolling surface 8a of the driving roller 8 is inclined so that the diameter increases toward the center side of the step 2 in the left-right direction.
- the inclination angle of the rolling surface 8a of the right drive roller 8 is, for example, the same as the inclination angle of the rolling surface 8a of the left drive roller 8. In this case, a member having the same shape as that of the left driving roller 8 can be used as the right driving roller 8.
- the rolling surface 8a of the driving roller 8 is inclined at an angle corresponding to the inclination of the upper surface of the rail 3 on which the driving roller 8 travels, for example. In this case, the driving roller 8 travels while the entire lower end of the rolling surface 8 a viewed from the traveling direction of the step 2 is in contact with the upper surface of the rail 3.
- the drive roller 8 is made of a material such as synthetic resin by injection molding, for example.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the drive roller and the mold in the first embodiment.
- FIG. 3 shows a bearing 8 b in the drive roller 8.
- the drive roller 8 is made by injection molding, for example, two molds such as a mold 9 and a mold 10 shown in FIG. 3 are used.
- a draft for taking out the driving roller 8 from the mold 9 remains on the rolling surface 8a.
- This draft is used as it is, for example, as the inclination of the rolling surface 8a.
- the inclination of the upper surface of the rail 3 is set to an angle corresponding to this draft.
- the pair of rails 3 are provided inside the truss 1 and are provided on the left and right sides along the traveling direction of the step 2.
- the pair of drive rollers 8 support the step 2 via a shaft and travel on the upper surfaces of the pair of rails 3.
- the upper surfaces of the pair of rails 3 are inclined so as to become lower toward the center side of the step 2 in the left-right direction. For this reason, the horizontal displacement of the step 2 can be suppressed with a simple configuration.
- the contact frequency between the guide pad 7 and the skirt guard 4 decreases. As a result, sliding noise can be suppressed and the replacement frequency of the guide pad 7 can be reduced.
- the rolling surface 8a is inclined so that the diameter of the pair of driving rollers 8 increases toward the center side of the step 2 in the left-right direction. For this reason, the horizontal displacement of the step 2 can be more stably suppressed with a simple configuration.
- the inclination of the rolling surface 8a of the drive roller 8 is, for example, a draft applied when the drive roller 8 is injection molded.
- the inclination of the upper surface of the rail 3 is set to an angle corresponding to the draft angle, for example. In this case, it is not necessary to cut the rolling surface 8a of the drive roller 8 so as to be parallel to the bearing 8b.
- the present invention can be used for a passenger conveyor that suppresses the lateral displacement of the step.
