Description

Gel dentifrice composition and its stickiness inhibitor
The present invention relates to a gel-like dentifrice composition containing no abrasive and excellent in feeling of use, and a stickiness inhibitor used therefor.
A dentifrice composition usually contains an abrasive for the purpose of removing plaque and the like, but some users prefer a dentifrice that does not contain an abrasive. For those with high risk of periodontal disease such as gingivitis and periodontitis with weak gums, dentifrice containing no abrasive is recommended to prevent adverse effects such as irritation caused by abrasive. Sometimes it is done. For this reason, there is a growing demand for dentifrice compositions such as gels that do not contain abrasives and that are less invasive to the oral mucosa even for high-risk individuals with periodontal disease and that can gently and carefully toothpaste. Yes.
In addition to abrasives, dentifrice compositions basically contain wetting agents, binders, surfactants, and the like. For the purpose of preventing drying and maintaining good appearance as wetting agents, Polyhydric alcohol is blended. Dentifrice compositions that do not contain abrasives, especially gel-like dentifrice compositions, generally contain a relatively large amount of wetting agent in order to maintain general properties such as shape retention and suppression of liquid separation. Done. However, in the composition containing no abrasive, stickiness is generated due to an increase in the amount of the wetting agent, and the feeling of use tends to deteriorate, and the flavor expression of the fragrance may be lowered, and improvement of the feeling of use has been an issue.
Patent Documents 1 to 3 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 2016-102076, 2007-176856, and 2016-40306) contain menthol and other specific fragrances to rinse, refresh, and taste. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a gel-like dentifrice composition containing no abrasive and having excellent usability, and a tackiness inhibitor used therefor.
As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present inventors have determined that menthol and N-ethyl-p have been added to an abrasive-free gel dentifrice composition containing 40% by mass or more of sorbitol as a wetting agent. It has been found that when blended with a specific ratio of -menthane-3-carboxamide, stickiness due to the wetting agent can be suppressed and an excellent feeling of use can be imparted. That is, in the present invention, (A) a gel-like dentifrice composition containing 40 to 60% by mass of sorbitol and containing no abrasive, further comprising (B) 0.1 to 1% by mass of menthol ( C) by containing 0.02 to 0.2% by mass of N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide, and (B) / (C) as a mass ratio of 0.5 to 40, A) The stickiness due to the component is suppressed, the sticky feeling is hardly felt after use, and the refreshing feeling is improved while suppressing the irritation, and the original expression of the flavor of the preparation is well maintained. It has been found that a gel-like dentifrice composition that gives a good feeling of use can be obtained, and has led to the present invention.
In the present invention, the expression of flavor can be further improved by further adding (D) eugenol to the gel dentifrice composition, whereby the flavor can be sufficiently expressed and stickiness can be suppressed. I found it.
In the present invention, the combination of the fragrances (B) and (C) has a mass ratio of (B) / (C) within a specific range, and is surprisingly unique to the component (A) as a stickiness inhibitor. It was able to give an exceptional effect. In this case, in general, in gel dentifrice compositions containing no abrasive, stickiness may be strongly felt when the amount of wetting agent is increased. In particular, the sugar alcohol sorbitol, which is generally used as a wetting agent, is preferable in that it is less irritating, but it tends to give stickiness depending on the blending amount, and the stickiness may increase as the amount increases. On the other hand, in this invention, as shown also in the below-mentioned Example, in the gel-like dentifrice composition which does not contain an abrasive | polishing agent, (A) component is 40 mass% or more, further increasing and mix | blending comparatively much However, when a system in which the components (B) and (C) are used together in a specific ratio is mixed, stickiness is suppressed after use and hardly felt, and the stimulation by menthol is moderately suppressed and a refreshing feeling is obtained. It was improved and felt satisfactory, and the flavor development was also good.
The effect of this invention is inferior even if the general fragrance | flavor for oral cavity other than these is contained when (B) or (C) component is missing, and contains (B) and (C) component. However, it is inferior that the mass ratio of (B) / (C) is inappropriate, and in either case, the object of the present invention was not achieved.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a gel-like dentifrice composition containing no abrasive and excellent in feeling of use and a stickiness inhibitor used therefor. This gel dentifrice composition is low in invasiveness to the oral mucosa because it does not contain abrasives, has good general properties such as shape retention, and can be used widely for high-risk people who have developed periodontal disease. It is.
The present invention will be described in further detail below. The gel dentifrice composition of the present invention contains no abrasive, contains (A) 40% by mass or more of sorbitol, and (B) menthol and (C) N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide. The mass ratio of (B) / (C) is contained within a specific range.
Here, the gel-like dentifrice composition of the present invention is a dentifrice composition that does not contain an abrasive but has a shape-retaining property that does not drip from the toothbrush when placed on the toothbrush.
(A) Sorbitol is a wetting agent, and for example, commercially available products such as those manufactured by Mitsubishi Shoji Foodtech Co., Ltd. can be used.
The blending amount of (A) sorbitol is 40 to 60% (mass%, the same applies hereinafter) of the whole composition, preferably 40 to 50%, particularly from the viewpoint of the shape retention of the preparation and the like. % Is more preferable. When it is 40% or more, basic physical properties such as shape retention can be sufficiently secured with a composition not containing an abrasive. If it exceeds 60%, the stickiness becomes too strong to be suppressed, and the refreshing feeling is lowered and the flavor expression is also lowered.
In addition, in this invention, even if the compounding quantity of (A) component is 42% or more, and also 45% or more, stickiness is fully suppressed and the non-stickiness after use is excellent.
In the present invention, as a wetting agent, in addition to (A) sorbitol, other sugar alcohols and polyhydric alcohols can be blended within a range that does not interfere with the effects of the present invention. In particular, the blending amount of sugar alcohols other than sorbitol may be 20% or less, particularly 15% or less of the whole composition, or may be unblended (0%).
Polyhydric alcohol is also used as a solvent, and examples thereof include propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 200 to 6,000 (average molecular weight described in quasi-drug raw material specifications), ethylene glycol, and the like. The blending amount of these polyhydric alcohols is preferably 0 to 10%, particularly 4 to 10% of the whole composition.
In the present invention, by combining (B) menthol and (C) N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide, these act specifically on the component (A) as stickiness inhibitors. If the component (B) or (C) is absent, stickiness is not suppressed. Moreover, the feeling of refreshing after use is inferior and flavor expression is also inferior.
(B) L-menthol is used as the menthol. For example, commercially available products such as L-menthol manufactured by Takasago International Corporation can be used. Also, menthol-containing essential oils such as peppermint oil and peppermint oil can be used.
The blending amount of (B) menthol is 0.1 to 1%, preferably 0.2 to 1%, more preferably 0.2 to 0.5% of the whole composition as a pure component. If it is less than 0.1%, stickiness is not sufficiently suppressed, and the feeling of refreshing after use is also inferior. If it exceeds 1%, its own irritation may become too strong to perform sufficient oral cleaning.
As (C) N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide, a synthetic product can be used, and for example, a commercially available product such as manufactured by Dibodan Japan Co., Ltd. can be used.
The blending amount of (C) N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide is 0.02 to 0.2%, preferably 0.05 to 0.1% of the whole composition. If it is less than 0.02%, the stickiness derived from the component (A) is not sufficiently suppressed, and the refreshing feeling after use may be inferior. If it exceeds 0.2%, flavor expression may be suppressed.
Further, (B) / (C) indicating the blending ratio of the component (B) to the component (C) is 0.5 to 40, preferably 2 to 10, more preferably 3 to 10 as a mass ratio. . When the (B) component and the (C) component are used in an inappropriate ratio, the stimulation becomes stronger or the flavor expression is suppressed than when the (B) component alone or the (C) component alone is added. Problems such as disappearance or stickiness may not be suppressed, but if it is within the above range, the stickiness derived from the component (A) is sufficiently eliminated, and the stimulus derived from the component (B) is suppressed. It is possible to satisfactorily give a feeling of use after use while suppressing it, to improve the flavor expression, and to dramatically improve the feeling of use. When (B) / (C) is less than 0.5, the feeling of refreshing after use is inferior or the expression of flavor is suppressed. If it exceeds 40, stickiness will not be improved and stimulation will increase.
In the present invention, when (D) eugenol is further blended with the (C) component, the flavor expression is prevented from being lowered by the (C) component, and the flavor expression is further improved, while sufficiently expressing the flavor, Stickiness can be suppressed.
(D) As eugenol, for example, a commercial product such as manufactured by Toyoda Fragrance Co., Ltd. can be used. In addition, essential oils containing eugenol, such as clove oil, cassia oil, pimento oil, bay oil, basil oil, laurel oil, and the like can also be used.
(D) The blending amount of eugenol is preferably 0.01 to 0.1% of the total composition as a pure component. If it is 0.01% or more, the flavor expression is sufficiently improved. When it is 0.1% or less, irritation and taste (bitterness) by itself can be sufficiently suppressed.
Furthermore, (D) / (C) indicating the blending ratio of component (D) to component (C) is preferably 0.05 to 5, more preferably 0.1 to 2, as a mass ratio. Within this range, flavor development is further enhanced.
