Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a dentifrice composition containing the herbal extract.
  • the number of bacteria in saliva level of 10 8 ⁇ 10 9 CFU / ml is detected.
  • the teeth are perforated with a number of fine holes, so that the bacteria causing tooth decay enter the holes and make the teeth sick.
  • This tooth decay is one of the most common diseases seen in teeth, also known as dental caries. It is an infectious bacterial disease in which food in the mouth is rotted by acid-resistant streptococci and lactic acid bacteria and the components of teeth are destroyed by acid. In Korea, the prevalence of tooth decay is about 80%, and one person has an average of 2 to 3 caries.
  • the plaque is mixed with various bacteria, especially acid-resistant streptococci and lactic acid bacteria, among which Streptococcus mutans is known as the main caries.
  • Streptococcus mutans grows by attaching to the surface of the tooth, producing acid using sugar in the food to corrode the tooth, and at the same time invading tooth bone cells, causing various alveolar bone erosion and gum disease.
  • the development of tooth decay is the first step in which the plaque is formed on the surface of the plaque by the bacteria causing the tooth decay, and the second step is the process in which the organic acid is produced in the plaque.
  • the third step is to demineralize the inorganic matter constituting the tooth surface and further dissolve the organic matter.
  • plaque attached to the periodontal tissue and periodontal tissue is the main cause of the development and progression of periodontal disease, which is caused by the generation of harmful metabolites or bacterial enzymes caused by bacteria in the plaque, resulting in gingivitis It is known to make progress.
  • Bad breath refers to odors derived from the oral cavity and neighboring organs, and many people have an inconvenience in daily life due to bad breath. 85-90% of bad breath comes from the oral cavity, especially from the back of the tongue.
  • the main components of bad breath are volatile sulfur compounds, of which 90% of the total amount of volatile sulfur compounds is hydrogen sulfide made from cysteine and methyl mercaptan and dimethyl sulfide made from methionine. These components are mainly produced by protein enzymes secreted by anaerobic bacteria, and the back of the tongue is the most important habitat. This area is not well cleaned by saliva, and there are many small depressions, which is a place where bacteria continue to live.
  • tongue tonguers are used to remove tongue growth from the tongue.
  • Metal salts such as zinc chloride or disinfectants such as alcohol or chlorhexidine were used to remove or inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria or the generation of volatile sulfur compounds by anaerobic bacteria.
  • these metal salts and disinfectants suppress the development of not only anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath, but also other microorganisms in the oral cavity. Since these substances do not swallow into the esophagus, they do not reach the back of the tongue, which is an important place for bad breath, and is mainly used in front of the mouth.
  • Toothpaste is a quasi-drug that is used to brush the surface of teeth.
  • toothpaste is mainly used for the purpose of whitening, bactericidal, and interdental cleansing.

  • Recently, many researches have been conducted for the preparation of various functional toothpastes to improve caries, periodontitis, and bad breath inhibitory effects.
  • periodontal disease has recently attracted attention as a risk factor for not only chronic infection of gum tissue but also causing myocardial infarction, arteriosclerosis, diabetes and premature birth. Therefore, it may suggest that toothpaste may be the basis for improving various health conditions
  • Grapefruit seeds contain ascorbic acid, phenolic compounds, naringin and tocophenols, which have been reported to weaken the function of cell walls and membranes of rot and pathogenic microorganisms and to inhibit enzymatic activity. It has been reported to prevent the cell proliferation mechanism derived from the bactericidal effect on bacteria, yeast and mold, and to increase the freshness and shelf life of food by inhibiting the production of toxic decay products.
  • grapefruit seed extract is a natural food preservative, LD value of 2,900 mg / kg almost no toxicity, no corrosive, very stable to the heat is a stable natural antibacterial agent does not cause environmental pollution.
  • Eucalyptus sp. Is a plant that grows mainly in the tropics and has more than 750 species.
  • the amount of essential oil contained in eucalyptus leaves is about 2-7%.
  • the essential oil is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid with a characteristic stinging aroma and taste that is irritating or refreshing.
  • Eucalyptus is used in soaps, liqueurs, fragrances, and medicines, and is particularly used in antiseptics, expectorants, insect repellents, mouthwashes, antitussives, and disinfectants.
  • Sage is a medicinal plant that has long been known as a panacea.
  • Sage is an English name that is changed from French to Sauge and is often called Salvia. It comes from the meaning of 'healthy', 'cure' and 'rescue'.
  • Sage is used to dry the leaves, in addition to the tonic effect on the nervous system and digestive system has an excellent effect.
  • Aloe is a botanical shrub and succulent plant belonging to the genus Aloe of the Liliaceae family. There are over 500 species of Aloe genus, but only 6-7 species of medicinal aloe. Africa is of origin. The juice of fresh aloe leaves is internalized in gastrointestinal diseases and externalized on trauma and burns. Since the end of World War II, the ingredients of aloe have been revealed one after another. So far, the results show that it contains aloetin, a bactericidal and fungal neutralizing agent for bacteria and fungi, aloeursine for ulcers, and aloemitin for anticancer activity. In addition, it contains various ingredients such as steroids, amino acids, saponins, antibiotics, wound healing hormones and minerals.
  • Aloe is effective in recovering from fatigue caused by overwork and relieving hangovers caused by excessive drinking, and cutting aloe leaves extraordinarily bitter yellow material, which is particularly effective in constipation.
  • aloe leaf juice is used for gastrointestinal diseases and used for trauma and burns. It also neutralizes dry and oily skin and moisturizes the skin, making it a cosmetic ingredient.
  • Chamomile includes German Chamomile, Roman Chamomile, Bodegold Chamomile, and Dyer's Chamomile, mainly known as German Chamomile and Roman Chamomile.
  • Chamomile essential oil has the effect of relieving tension and keeping you warm.
  • Chamomile is also effective for pain and inflammation, such as headaches, migraines and neuralgia. If you have gastrointestinal disorders, it is effective to drink it by car. Watering the flowers with the chamomile petals wither the flowers that are withering away quickly to restore vitality and heal the sick plants and prevent the onset.
  • German chamomile and Roman chamomile have almost the same effect, but German chamomile is used because it is less bitter.
  • Roman chamomile which is more fragrant than German chamomile, is often used as a plant in the garden or on the roadside.
  • Green tea (green tea) is a tea made using tea that has not been fermented. Drinking tea often prevents the formation of blood clots and lowers cholesterol and blood sugar. It is also effective in preventing tooth decay. Green tea extract has antioxidant activity. The bitter taste of green tea is due to a tannin called catechin. Catechin, a kind of antioxidant polyphenol, contains about 100mg of green tea, and EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate), the most powerful ingredient, is known to have 20 times higher antioxidant activity than vitamin C. Catechin is known to act as an anticancer effect and protect blood vessel health. Catechin has the effect of preventing stomach and lung cancer, lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow to the heart.
