図1は、本発明を適用する工作機械の送り軸の位置制御装置及び異常診断装置の一例を示すブロック図である。
工作機械の送り軸1は、NC装置内に形成される異常診断装置20の送り軸制御部21からの位置指令を受けて、サーボモータ3により回転駆動するボールねじ2と、ボールねじ2にナット4を介して螺合し、ボールねじ2の回転によって軸方向へネジ送り移動する移動体5とを備える。ボールネジ2の両端は、図示しない軸受によって軸支されており、移動体5は、図示しないリニアガイドによって直線移動が案内される。サーボモータ3には、位置検出器6が取り付けられている。

そして、S6で、判断部26により、周波数解析結果から損傷周波数のピークがあるか否かを判別する(判断ステップ)。このピークの有無は、例えば、損傷周波数の絶対値が予め設定してある閾値を越えた場合にピーク有りと判断する。また、軸受に損傷の無い正常状態における周波数解析結果を予め取得しておいて、この正常時の周波数解析結果と比較し、正常状態との差分が予め設定してある閾値を越えた場合にピーク有りと判断することもできる。なお、損傷個所により加工に影響の与える程度が異なるため、損傷個所ごとにこれらの閾値を設けると、より精度よく損傷の検出を行うことができる。
こうしてS6で損傷周波数のピークが確認されると、S7で異常(損傷有り)と判断し、損傷周波数のピークが確認されなければ、S8で正常(損傷無し)と判断して、判断結果を表示部23に表示する。
特にここでは、送り速度Fgとして、取得された周波数特性においてゲインが最大となる周波数と損傷周波数とが一致する送り速度を用いるため、損傷周波数のピークの有無を明確に検知することができる。
上記形態1では、主に軸受に関する損傷を例として説明をしているが、検知可能な損傷は、ボールねじやナット、リニアガイド等、多岐にわたるため、診断を行う送り速度の種類が多くなり、診断時間が長くなるという課題もある。この課題に対応した方法を形態2として説明する。但し、送り軸1の位置制御装置10及び異常診断装置20の構成自体は形態1と同様であるため、重複する説明は省略して、異常診断装置20による異常診断方法を図4のフローチャートに基づいて説明する。
次に、S12で、送り速度算出部24により、取得した周波数特性からゲインが一定値以上となる周波数帯域を算出する。ここでは図3の周波数特性において、ゲインを-5dB以上と設定し、5~200Hzを応答性の良い周波数帯域Aとしている。
次に、S13で、送り速度算出部24により、軸受の諸元に基づいて、複数の診断したい箇所の損傷周波数の最大値が周波数帯域Aに含まれる送り速度Fgを算出する(S12,S13:送り速度算出ステップ)。例えば、内輪、外輪、転動体についてそれぞれ形態1と同様に送り速度を算出し、3つの送り速度で規定される送り速度の範囲から送り速度Fgを選択することが考えられる。
この送り軸では、軸受の内輪と外輪とにキズがある。送り速度Fg7500[mm/min]では、87Hz、100Hzにピークがあり、組み込まれている軸受の内外輪における損傷が検知できる。しかし、送り速度Fg20000[mm/min]では、軸受の内外輪の損傷周波数が231Hz、268Hzであり、応答性の良い周波数帯域の上限である200Hzを超えている為、ピークは確認できないことがわかる。
従って、ここで算出される送り速度Fgは、7500[mm/min]となる。
このような場合に対処し、異常の検出精度を高めるためには、送り速度算出部24により、S13で算出された送り速度Fg7500[mm/min]に加え、各送り速度の関係が非整数倍となる複数の送り速度Fgを算出すればよい。例えば、Fg7500[mm/min]を基準とした場合、Fg7500[mm/min]に加え、この0.6倍となる4500[mm/min]と、1.4倍となる10500[mm/min]とを送り速度Fgとして設定する。機械動作による振動や外乱の振動は送り速度によって変化しないため、非整数倍となる複数の送り速度で実施することにより、送り速度と比例関係で変化する機械要素の損傷と分離した状態把握が容易に行えるようになる。
そして、S16で、判断部26により、各周波数解析結果から損傷周波数のピークがあるか否かを判別する(判断ステップ)。ここで損傷周波数のピークが確認されると、S17で異常(損傷有り)と判断し、損傷周波数のピークが確認されなければ、S18で正常(損傷無し)と判断して、判断結果を表示部23に表示することになる。
図8に、複数の送り速度で診断を実施した場合の結果の表示例を示す。(a)は横軸を周波数、(b)は横軸を送り軸の回転周波数に対する周波数比として表示している。回転周波数は、送り速度/ボールねじのリード/60により算出され、周波数比は、周波数/回転周波数で算出される。縦軸はどちらも周波数解析後の強度であり、複数の送り速度を便宜上一つのグラフ内で表示できるように上下にオフセットさせている。
マーカM1は、軸受の内輪損傷による影響であり、周波数表示のグラフ(a)では送り速度によりピーク位置が変化しているのに対し、回転周波数に対する周波数比表示のグラフ(b)では、送り速度によるピーク位置の変化はない。
このように、判断ステップの実施後、横軸を周波数で表示したグラフと回転周波数に対する周波数比で表示したグラフとを並べて一括表示することにより(表示ステップ)、機械要素による損傷の影響か否かが区別でき、状態の把握が容易に行えるようになる。また、軸受、ボールねじ、リニアガイドといった機械要素の損傷に対応したマーカを表示させてもよい。
特にここでは、送り速度Fgとして、取得された周波数特性においてゲインが一定値以上となる周波数帯域A内に損傷周波数の最大値が含まれる送り速度を用いるため、診断したい箇所が複数あっても短時間で損傷周波数のピークの有無を検知することができる。
そして、本発明は工作機械に限らず、送り軸を備えた機械であれば適用可能である。
Claims (8)
- サーボモータにより回転するボールねじを介して移動体を移動させる送り軸を有する機械において、前記送り軸の異常を診断する方法であって、
前記送り軸の周波数特性及び、損傷した前記送り軸が軸動作を行った際に発生する損傷周波数を取得する周波数取得ステップと、
取得された前記周波数特性から、前記損傷周波数のピークが検知できる送り速度を算出する送り速度算出ステップと、
算出された送り速度で前記送り軸を軸動作させる軸動作ステップと、
軸動作時に前記サーボモータの制御に係るサーボ情報を周波数解析する周波数解析ステップと、
前記周波数解析の結果から前記損傷周波数のピークの有無を確認して、前記ピークがある場合に異常と判断する判断ステップと、
を実行することを特徴とする送り軸の異常診断方法。 - 前記送り速度算出ステップでは、前記送り速度として、取得された前記周波数特性においてゲインが最大となる周波数と前記損傷周波数とが一致する送り速度を算出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。
- 前記送り速度算出ステップでは、前記送り速度として、取得された前記周波数特性においてゲインが一定値以上となる周波数帯域内に前記損傷周波数の最大値が含まれる送り速度を算出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。
- 前記送り速度算出ステップでは、算出された前記送り速度に対して非整数倍の関係となる送り速度をさらに算出し、
前記軸動作ステップでは、複数の前記送り速度で前記送り軸を軸動作させ、前記周波数解析ステップでは、各前記送り速度ごとに得られる前記サーボ情報を周波数解析し、前記判断ステップでは、各前記送り速度ごとの周波数解析の結果から前記損傷周波数のピークの有無を確認することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。 - 前記周波数解析ステップで得られた周波数解析の結果に基づき、周波数表示と前記送り軸の回転周波数に対する周波数比表示との2種類のグラフを作成し、各前記送り速度ごとの周波数解析の結果を一括表示する表示ステップをさらに実行することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。
- 前記周波数解析ステップで周波数解析する前記サーボ情報は、トルク波形であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。
- 前記周波数解析ステップで周波数解析する前記サーボ情報は、前記損傷周波数が所定値未満の場合は、前記送り軸への位置指令と前記サーボモータの現在位置との間の位置偏差であり、前記損傷周波数が前記所定値以上の場合は、トルク波形であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の送り軸の異常診断方法。
- サーボモータにより回転するボールねじを介して移動体を移動させる送り軸を有する機械において、前記送り軸の異常を診断する装置であって、
前記送り軸の周波数特性及び、損傷した前記送り軸が軸動作を行った際に発生する損傷周波数を記憶する記憶手段と、
記憶された前記周波数特性から、前記損傷周波数のピークが検知できる送り速度を算出する送り速度算出手段と、
算出された送り速度で前記送り軸を軸動作させる軸動作実行手段と、
軸動作時に前記サーボモータの制御に係るサーボ情報を周波数解析する周波数解析手段と、
前記周波数解析の結果から前記損傷周波数のピークの有無を確認して、前記ピークがある場合に異常と判断する判断手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする送り軸の異常診断装置。
