 以下、本発明の例示的な実施形態が開示される。以下に示される実施形態の構成、ならびに当該構成によってもたらされる作用、結果、および効果は、一例である。本発明は、以下の実施形態に開示される構成以外によっても実現可能であるとともに、基本的な構成に基づく種々の効果や、派生的な効果のうち、少なくとも一つを得ることが可能である。
 本実施形態において、車両の周辺を表示部(後述する表示装置8、12)に表示する運転支援装置を搭載する車両1(以下、符号無しで単に「車両」という場合もある。)は、例えば、不図示の内燃機関を駆動源とする自動車、すなわち内燃機関自動車であってもよいし、不図示の電動機を駆動源とする自動車、すなわち電気自動車や燃料電池自動車等であってもよい。また、それらの双方を駆動源とするハイブリッド自動車であってもよいし、他の駆動源を備えた自動車であってもよい。また、車両1は、種々の変速装置を搭載することができるし、内燃機関や電動機を駆動するのに必要な種々の装置、例えばシステムや部品等を搭載することができる。また、車両1における車輪3の駆動に関わる装置の方式や、数、レイアウト等は、種々に設定することができる。
(第1実施形態)
 まず、第1実施形態における運転支援装置について説明する。図1は、第1実施形態における運転支援装置を搭載する車両の車室の一部が透視された状態の一例を示す斜視図である。図1に例示されるように、車体2は、不図示の乗員が乗車する車室2aを構成している。車室2a内には、乗員としての運転者の座席2bに臨む状態で、操舵部4、加速操作部5、制動操作部6、変速操作部7等が設けられている。操舵部4は、例えば、ダッシュボード24から突出したステアリングホイールである。加速操作部5は、例えば、運転者の足下に位置されたアクセルペダルである。制動操作部6は、例えば、運転者の足下に位置されたブレーキペダルである。変速操作部7は、例えば、センターコンソールから突出したシフトレバーである。なお、操舵部4、加速操作部5、制動操作部6、変速操作部7等は、これらに限定されない。
 また、車室2a内には、表示出力部としての表示装置8や、音声出力部としての音声出力装置9が設けられている。表示装置8は、例えば、LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)や、OELD(Organic Electro-Luminescence Display)等である。音声出力装置9は、例えば、スピーカである。また、表示装置8は、例えば、タッチパネル等、透明な操作入力部10で覆われている。乗員は、操作入力部10を介して表示装置8の表示画面に表示される画像を視認することができる。また、乗員は、表示装置8の表示画面に表示される画像に対応した位置において、手指等で操作入力部10を触れたり押したり動かしたりして操作することで、操作入力を実行することができる。また、運転支援は、例えば、運転者が操作入力部10を操作することで開始する。
 これらの表示装置8、音声出力装置9、操作入力部10等は、例えば、ダッシュボード24の車幅方向すなわち左右方向の中央部に位置されたモニタ装置11に設けられている。モニタ装置11は、スイッチ、ダイヤル、ジョイスティック、押しボタン等の不図示の操作部を有する。また、車室2a内のモニタ装置11とは異なる他の位置に不図示の音声出力装置を設けてもよく、その場合、モニタ装置11の音声出力装置9と他の音声出力装置の両方から音声を出力してもよい。なお、モニタ装置11は、例えば、ナビゲーションシステムやオーディオシステムと兼用であってもよい。
 また、車室2a内には、表示装置8とは別の表示装置12が設けられている。図3は、第1実施形態における運転支援装置を搭載する車両1のダッシュボードの一例であり、車両1の後方からの視野での図である。図3に例示されるように、表示装置12は、例えば、ダッシュボード24の計器盤部25に設けられ、計器盤部25の略中央で、速度表示部25aと回転数表示部25bとの間に配置されている。表示装置12の画面12aの大きさは、表示装置8の画面8aの大きさよりも小さい。表示装置12は、例えば、LCDや、OELD等である。なお、表示を行う場合、表示装置8と表示装置12のいずれで行ってもよい。
 図2は、第1実施形態における運転支援装置を搭載する車両1の一例を示す平面図である。図1、図2に例示されるように、車両1は、例えば、四輪自動車であり、左右二つの前輪3Fと、左右二つの後輪3Rとを有する。これらの四つの車輪3は、いずれも転舵可能に構成される。
 図4は、第1実施形態における運転支援装置を含む構成の一例を示すブロック図である。図4に例示されるように、車両1は、少なくとも二つの車輪3を操舵する操舵システム13を有している。操舵システム13は、アクチュエータ13aと、トルクセンサ13bとを備える。操舵システム13は、ECU14(Electronic Control Unit)等によって電気的に制御されて、アクチュエータ13aを動作させる。操舵システム13は、例えば、電動パワーステアリングシステムや、SBW(Steer By Wire)システム等である。操舵システム13は、アクチュエータ13aによって操舵部4にトルク、すなわちアシストトルクを付加して操舵力を補ったり、アクチュエータ13aによって車輪3を転舵したりする。この場合、アクチュエータ13aは、一つの車輪3を転舵してもよいし、複数の車輪3を転舵してもよい。また、トルクセンサ13bは、例えば、運転者が操舵部4に与えるトルクを検出する。
 また、図2に例示されるように、車体2には、複数の撮像部15として、例えば四つの撮像部15a~15dが設けられている。撮像部15は、例えば、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)やCIS(CMOS Image Sensor)等の撮像素子を内蔵するデジタルカメラである。撮像部15は、所定のフレームレートで動画データ(撮影画像データ)を出力することができる。撮像部15は、それぞれ、広角レンズまたは魚眼レンズを有し、水平方向には例えば140°~190°の範囲を撮影することができる。撮像部15は、車両1の周辺を逐次撮影し、撮影画像データとして出力する。
 撮像部15aは、例えば、車体2の後側の端部2eに位置し、リヤトランクのドア2hの下方の壁部に設けられている。撮像部15bは、例えば、車体2の右側の端部2fに位置し、右側のドアミラー2gに設けられている。撮像部15cは、例えば、車体2の前側、すなわち車両前後方向の前方側の端部2cに位置し、フロントバンパー等に設けられている。撮像部15dは、例えば、車体2の左側、すなわち車幅方向の左側の端部2dに位置し、左側のドアミラー2gに設けられている。ECU14は、複数の撮像部15で得られた画像データに基づいて演算処理や画像処理を実行し、一つの撮像部15から得られる画像よりも広い視野角の画像を生成したり、車両1を上方から見た仮想的な俯瞰画像を生成したりすることができる。
 図1、図2に例示されるように、車体2には、複数の測距部16、17として、例えば四つの測距部16a~16dと、八つの測距部17a~17hとが設けられている。測距部16、17は、例えば、超音波を発射してその反射波を捉えるソナーである。測距部17は、例えば、比較的近距離の物体の検出に用いられる。また、測距部16は、例えば、測距部17よりも遠い比較的長距離の物体の検出に用いられる。そして、測距部17は、例えば、車両1の前方および後方の物体の検出に用いられる。また、測距部16は、車両1の側方の物体の検出に用いられる。
 また、図4に例示されるように、運転支援システム100(運転支援装置)では、ECU14、モニタ装置11、操舵システム13、測距部16、17等の他、ブレーキシステム18、舵角センサ19a、ステアリング感圧センサ19b、アクセルセンサ20、シフトセンサ21a、車輪速センサ22等が、電気通信回線としての車内ネットワーク23を介して電気的に接続されている。車内ネットワーク23は、例えば、CAN(Controller Area Network)として構成されている。ECU14は、車内ネットワーク23を通じて制御信号を送ることで、操舵システム13、ブレーキシステム18等を制御することができる。また、ECU14は、車内ネットワーク23を介して、トルクセンサ13b、ブレーキセンサ18b、舵角センサ19a、ステアリング感圧センサ19b、測距部16、測距部17、アクセルセンサ20、シフトセンサ21a、車輪速センサ22等の検出結果や、操作入力部10等の操作信号等を、受け取ることができる。
 ECU14は、例えば、CPU14a(Central Processing Unit)、ROM14b(Read Only Memory)、RAM14c(Random Access Memory)、表示制御部14d、音声制御部14e、SSD14f(Solid State Drive、フラッシュメモリ)等を有している。CPU14aは、各種の演算処理および制御を実行することができる。CPU14aは、ROM14b等の不揮発性の記憶装置にインストールされ記憶されたプログラムを読み出し、当該プログラムにしたがって演算処理を実行することができる。RAM14cは、CPU14aでの演算で用いられる各種のデータを一時的に記憶する。また、表示制御部14dは、ECU14での演算処理のうち、主として、表示装置8、12で表示される画像データの合成等を実行する。また、音声制御部14eは、ECU14での演算処理のうち、主として、音声出力装置9で出力される音声データの処理を実行する。また、SSD14fは、書き換え可能な不揮発性の記憶部であって、ECU14の電源がオフされた場合にあってもデータを記憶することができる。なお、CPU14a、ROM14b、RAM14c等は、例えば、同一パッケージ内に集積される。また、ECU14は、CPU14aに替えて、DSP(Digital Signal Processor)等の他の論理演算プロセッサや論理回路等が用いられる構成であってもよい。また、SSD14fに替えてHDD(Hard Disk Drive)が設けられてもよいし、SSD14fやHDDは、ECU14とは別に設けられてもよい。
 ブレーキシステム18は、例えば、車輪3のロックを抑制するABS(Anti-lock Brake System)、コーナリング時の車両1の横滑りを抑制する横滑り防止装置(ESC:Electronic Stability Control)、ブレーキ力を増強させる(ブレーキアシストを実行する)電動ブレーキシステム、BBW(Brake By Wire)等を備える。ブレーキシステム18は、アクチュエータ18aを介して、車輪3ひいては車両1に制動力を与える。また、ブレーキシステム18は、左右の車輪3の回転差などから車輪3のロック、空回り、横滑り等の兆候を検出して、各種制御を実行することができる。ブレーキセンサ18bは、例えば、制動操作部6の可動部の位置を検出するセンサである。ブレーキセンサ18bは、可動部としてのブレーキペダルの位置を検出することができる。ブレーキセンサ18bは、変位センサを含む。
 舵角センサ19aは、例えば、ステアリングホイール等の操舵部4の操舵量を検出するセンサである。舵角センサ19aは、例えば、ホール素子などを用いて構成される。ECU14は、運転者による操舵部4の操舵量や、自動操舵時の各車輪3の操舵量等を、舵角センサ19aから取得して各種制御を実行する。なお、舵角センサ19aは、操舵部4に含まれる回転部分の回転角度を検出する。舵角センサ19aは、角度センサの一例である。
 ステアリング感圧センサ19bは、ステアリングホイールに内蔵された周知の感圧センサ(圧力センサ)であり、ステアリングホイールが把持されているか否かを検出したり、またはその把持の強さを検出したりすることができる。
 アクセルセンサ20は、例えば、加速操作部5の可動部の位置を検出するセンサである。アクセルセンサ20は、可動部としてのアクセルペダルの位置を検出することができる。アクセルセンサ20は、変位センサを含む。
 シフトセンサ21aは、例えば、変速操作部7の可動部の位置を検出するセンサである。シフトセンサ21aは、可動部としての、シフトレバー、ボタン等の位置を検出することができる。シフトセンサ21aは、変位センサを含んでもよいし、スイッチとして構成されてもよい。
 車輪速センサ22は、車輪3の回転数を検出するセンサである。車輪速センサ22は、検出した回転数を示す車輪速パルス数をセンサ値として出力する。車輪速センサ22は、例えば、ホール素子などを用いて構成される。ECU14は、車輪速センサ22から取得したセンサ値に基づいて車両1の移動量などを演算し、各種制御を実行する。
 なお、上述した各種センサやアクチュエータの構成や、配置、電気的な接続形態等は、一例であって、種々に設定(変更)することができる。
 ECU14は、運転支援システム100における記憶手段や処理手段の役割を果たす。図5は、第1実施形態におけるECU14内の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。図5に示すように、ECU14は、CPU14aと記憶部60とを備える。記憶部60は、CPU14aでの演算で用いられるデータを記憶するとともに、CPU14aでの演算で算出されたデータを記憶する。
 CPU14aは、ROM14b等の記憶装置にインストールされ記憶されたプログラムを読み出し、それを実行することで実現される各種モジュールを備える。CPU14aは、例えば、車両位置検出部31、目標位置決定部32、移動経路決定部33、移動予定距離計算部34、および、移動制御部35を備える。
 車両位置検出部31は、例えば、撮像部15から出力される撮影画像データや、車輪速センサ22から出力される車輪3の回転数等に基づいて、車両位置(現在の車両位置)を検出する。
 目標位置決定部32は、運転支援時に、目標位置を決定する。例えば、目標位置決定部32は、表示装置8に表示された周辺画像(俯瞰画像等)に対して運転者が操作入力部10を用いて指定した位置を目標位置と決定する。また、例えば、目標位置決定部32は、撮像部15から出力される車両1の周辺画像に基づいて、目標位置を自動的に決定してもよい。なお、目標位置の決定手法はこれらに限定されるものではない。
 移動経路決定部33は、車両位置から目標位置までの移動経路を決定する。例えば、移動経路決定部33は、車両位置と目標位置とに基づいて所定の手順や条件にしたがった幾何学的な演算を行って、車両1の移動経路を決定することができる。また、例えば、移動経路決定部33は、ROM14bやSSD14f等に記憶された複数の経路パターンのデータを参照し、車両位置と目標位置とに合致する経路パターンを選択することで、移動経路を決定してもよい。なお、移動経路の決定手法はこれらに限定されるものではない。
 移動予定距離計算部34は、運転支援中に、車両位置から目標位置までの移動予定距離を、移動経路にしたがって計算する。
 移動制御部35は、移動経路決定部33によって決定された移動経路に沿って車両1が移動するように、車両位置に応じて操舵システム13のアクチュエータ13aを制御する。この際、例えば、車両1は、運転者の加速操作部5あるいは制動操作部6の操作に応じて、加速あるいは減速(制動)される。ただし、移動制御の手法はこれに限定されるものではない。例えば、加速、減速についても、運転支援システム100によって自動制御してもよい。
 また、運転支援システム100の一部として機能する表示制御部14d(図4)は、目標位置が設定されているときには、目標位置が設定されていないときにも表示されている表示物(以下、「元の表示物」ともいう。)の全部または一部を、移動予定距離に応じて第1の表示形態から第2の表示形態へ変更させる。その場合、例えば、第1の表示形態、第2の表示形態の一方を、目標位置が設定されていないときの表示形態としてもよい。そうすれば、設計や処理が簡易になる。
 表示制御部14dは、具体的には、例えば、元の表示物の一部であり、車両の進行方向を示す矢印を、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、透明度が大きくなるように表示する。
 次に、表示画像について説明する。図6は、第1実施形態における俯瞰画像の一例を示す図である。図6に示すように、表示装置8に俯瞰画像が表示され、その俯瞰画像内に車両1が表示されている。その表示されている車両1には、車両1の進行方向を示す指標である矢印Y(以下、符号無しで単に「矢印」という場合もある。)が重畳表示されている。この第1実施形態では、車両1が移動して目標位置までの移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、この矢印Yの透明度が大きくなるように変化させる。
 記憶部60は、表示制御部14dが元の表示物の全部または一部を移動予定距離に応じて第1の表示形態から第2の表示形態へ変更させるのに必要な各種情報を記憶する。例えば、記憶部60は、移動予定距離が小さいほど矢印の透明度が大きいという、移動予定距離と矢印の透明度との対応情報を記憶する。
 また、表示制御部14dは、移動予定距離に応じた透明度の矢印を車両1の進行方向に合わせて表示する。以下、具体例を用いて説明する。
 図7A、図7Bは、第1実施形態における矢印の透明度と移動予定距離の対応関係の一例を示す図である。図7Aは、車両1の前進用の矢印を示す。(a1)から(a5)まで、車両1の前進の方向に、移動予定距離がそれぞれ100cm以上、100~80cm、80~60cm、60~40cm、40~20cmの場合について、段階的に透明度が大きくなっている矢印Yが示されている。なお、20cm未満の場合である(a6)では、透明度が100%となって矢印Yは表示されていない。
 また、図7Bは、車両1の後退用の矢印を示す。(b1)から(b5)まで、車両1の後退の方向に、移動予定距離がそれぞれ100cm以上、100~80cm、80~60cm、60~40cm、40~20cmの場合について、段階的に透明度が大きくなっている矢印Yが示されている。なお、20cm未満の場合である(b6)では、透明度が100%となって矢印Yは表示されていない。
 このような矢印Yを、車両1が縦列駐車状態から出庫する場合の運転支援時の表示画像に適用した場合の例を図7Cに示す。(c11)に示すように、右向きに並んだ車両C1、車両1、車両C2のうちの車両1が出庫する場合、車両1が車両C1に近い場所から少し右に移動(前進)して車両C2に接近するとき、矢印Yの表示は、(c1)、(c2)、(c3)と変化する。
 また、次に、(c12)に示すように、車両1が車両C2に近い場所から少し左に移動(後退)して車両C1に接近するとき、矢印Yの表示は、(c4)、(c5)、(c6)と変化する。
 また、次に、(c13)に示すように、車両1が車両C1に近い場所から右に移動(前進)して出庫するとき、矢印Yの表示は(c7)に変化する。
 このようにして、運転者は、矢印Yの方向によって車両1の移動方向を知ることができるとともに、移動予定距離が小さくなるほどその矢印Yの透明度が大きくなるので、その透明度の変化から移動予定距離を容易に認識でき、安心感を得ることができる。
 次に、運転支援装置の処理について説明する。図8は、第1実施形態における運転支援装置の処理の一例を示すフローチャートである。
 まず、ステップS1において、ECU14は、車両1が運転支援中か否かを判定し、Yesの場合はステップS2に進み、Noの場合はステップS1に戻る。運転支援は、例えば、運転者が操作入力部10を操作することで開始する。
 ステップS2において、車両位置検出部31は、撮像部15から出力される撮影画像データや、車輪速センサ22から出力される車輪3の回転数等に基づいて、車両位置を検出する。
 次に、ステップS3において、目標位置決定部32は、運転者による操作入力部10を用いた操作に基づいて、または、撮像部15から出力される車両1の周辺画像に基づいて自動的に、目標位置を決定する。
 次に、ステップS4において、移動経路決定部33は、車両位置から目標位置までの移動経路を決定する。
 次に、ステップS5において、移動予定距離計算部34は、車両位置から目標位置までの移動予定距離を、移動経路にしたがって計算する。
 次に、ステップS6において、移動制御部35は、決定された移動経路に沿って車両1が移動するように、車両位置に応じて操舵システム13のアクチュエータ13aを制御する。
 次に、ステップS7において、表示制御部14dは、移動予定距離に応じた画像を表示する。具体的には、表示制御部14dは、俯瞰画像における車両部分に、移動予定距離計算部34が計算した移動予定距離に応じた透明度の矢印を進行方向に合わせて重畳表示する(図6、図7A、図7B、図7C)。
 ステップS7の後、ステップS1に戻る。なお、ステップS1でYes、ステップS2、・・・、ステップS7、ステップS1でYes、・・・、というループを繰り返す場合、ステップS3、S4は、毎回ではなく、必要なときだけ実行すればよい。
 このようにして、第1実施形態の運転支援装置によれば、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示される矢印の透明度が大きくなるので、運転者は、その矢印の透明度の変化から移動予定距離の変化を容易に認識することができ、安心感を得ることができる。また、矢印は、元の表示物の一部であるので、視認性を低下させることがない。
 なお、魚眼画像を用いる場合、効果がより顕著になる。図9は、第1実施形態における魚眼画像の一例を示す図である。図9に示すように、魚眼画像では、中心から離れるほど画像が圧縮されている。したがって、中心から離れた位置に、従来と同様に目標位置として旗のマーク等を表示すると、元の画像が見づらいものになってしまう可能性が高い。
 例えば、図9の魚眼画像では、車両1のほかに、車両101や車両102が映っているが、それらは中心から離れた位置であるため、小さく映っている。そのため、従来技術と同様に目標位置として旗のマーク等を表示すると、車両101や車両102の一部または全部が隠れてしまい、画像全体として見づらいものになってしまう可能性が高い。第1実施形態の運転支援装置では、矢印は元の表示物の一部であるので、そのような問題は起きない。
(第2実施形態)
 次に、第2実施形態における運転支援装置について説明する。なお、図1~図4で説明した事項については第1実施形態の場合と同様であるので、説明を省略する。
 第2実施形態でも、第1実施形態と同様に、図6に示すように、表示装置8に表示する俯瞰画像内に車両1が表示され、その表示されている車両1には車両1の進行方向を示す指標である矢印Yが重畳表示される。第2実施形態では、車両1が移動して目標位置までの移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、この矢印Yの長さを短く変化させる。
 そのために、記憶部60は、移動予定距離が小さいほど車両の進行方向を示す矢印の長さが短いという、移動予定距離と矢印の長さとの対応情報を記憶する。また、表示制御部14dは、車両の進行方向を示す矢印を、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、長さが短くなるように表示する。以下、具体例を用いて説明する。
 図10A、図10B、図10Cは、第2実施形態における矢印の長さと移動予定距離の対応関係の一例を示す図である。図10A、図10B、図10Cは、それぞれ、移動予定距離が100cm以上、60~40cm、20cm未満の場合の矢印Yを示す。つまり、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、矢印が短くなる。
 そして、第2実施形態の運転支援装置の処理については、図8のフローチャートにおいて、ステップS7のみが異なる。ステップS7において、表示制御部14dは、移動予定距離に応じた画像を表示するが、具体的には、俯瞰画像における車両部分に、移動予定距離計算部34が計算した移動予定距離に応じた長さの矢印を進行方向に合わせて重畳表示する(図6、図10A、図10B、図10C)。
 このようにして、第2実施形態の運転支援装置によれば、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示される矢印の長さが短くなるので、運転者は、その矢印の長さの変化から移動予定距離の変化を容易に認識することができ、安心感を得ることができる。
(第3実施形態)
 次に、第3実施形態における運転支援装置について説明する。なお、図1~図4で説明した事項については第1実施形態の場合と同様であるので、説明を省略する。
 第3実施形態では、第1実施形態と同様、図6に示すように、表示装置8に表示する俯瞰画像内に車両1が表示され、その表示されている車両1には車両1の進行方向を示す指標である矢印Yが重畳表示される。車両1の色は、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化する。
 そのために、記憶部60は、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど車両の色が第1の色から第2の色に変化するという、移動予定距離と車両の色との対応情報を記憶する。また、表示制御部14dは、車両を、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する。
 なお、表示制御部14dによる色の変化の制御のために、例えば、記憶部60に、予め、表示に用いる色の組み合わせ(例えば、第1の色、第2の色、および、それらの段階的中間色)を含む色の情報を定義したカラーパレットを記憶させておけばよい。なお、第1の色と第2の色の組み合わせは任意である。例えば、第1の色、第2の色は、白、赤でもよいし、その逆の赤、白でもよいし、青、赤でもよいし、黄緑、紫でもよい。以下、第3実施形態について、具体例を用いて説明する。
 図11A、図11B、図11Cは、第3実施形態における車両アイコン(俯瞰画像における車両部分の表示)の色と移動予定距離の対応関係の一例を示す図である。図11A、図11B、図11Cは、それぞれ、移動予定距離が100cm以上、60~40cm、20cm未満の場合の車両アイコンを示す。ここでは、一例として、第1の色が白(例えば、目標位置が設定されていないときの色)で、第2の色が赤であるものとする。したがって、図11Aの車両アイコンは白色で、図11Bの車両アイコンはピンク色で、図11Cの車両アイコンは赤色となっている。
 そして、第3実施形態の運転支援装置の処理については、図8のフローチャートにおいて、ステップS7のみが異なる。ステップS7において、表示制御部14dは、移動予定距離に応じた画像を表示するが、具体的には、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、車両1の色が第1の色から第2の色に変化する(図6、図11A、図11B、図11C)。
 このようにして、第3実施形態の運転支援装置によれば、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、車両の色が第1の色から第2の色に変化するので、運転者は、その車両の色の変化から移動予定距離の変化を容易に認識することができ、安心感を得ることができる。
(第4実施形態)
 次に、第4実施形態における運転支援装置について説明する。なお、図1~図4で説明した事項については第1実施形態の場合と同様であるので、説明を省略する。
 第4実施形態では、第1実施形態と同様、図6に示すように、表示装置8に表示する俯瞰画像内に車両1が表示され、その表示されている車両1には車両1の進行方向を示す指標である矢印Yが重畳表示される。そして、第4実施形態では、車両1が移動して目標位置までの移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示物の全部の色合いが、第1の色から第2の色に変化する。
 そのために、記憶部60は、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど表示物の全部の色合いが第1の色から第2の色に変化するという、移動予定距離と表示物の全部の色合いとの対応情報を記憶する。また、表示制御部14dは、表示物の全部の色合いを、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する。以下、第4実施形態について、具体例を用いて説明する。
 図12A、図12B、図12Cは、第4実施形態における撮影画像の色と移動予定距離の対応関係の一例を示す図である。ここでは、一例として、第1の色が白で、第2の色が赤であるものとする。図12Aの撮影画像の色は、図6と同様である。図12Bの撮影画像の色は、図12Aよりも少し赤味がかっている。また、図12Cの撮影画像の色は、図12Bよりもさらに赤味がかっている。
 そして、第4実施形態の運転支援装置の処理については、図8のフローチャートにおいて、ステップS7のみが異なる。ステップS7において、表示制御部14dは、移動予定距離に応じた画像を表示するが、具体的には、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示物の全部の色合いを、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する(図12A、図12B、図12C)。
 このようにして、第4実施形態の運転支援装置によれば、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示物の全部の色合いが第1の色(例えば白)から第2の色(例えば赤)に変化するので、運転者は、その表示物の全部の色合いの変化から移動予定距離の変化を容易に認識することができ、安心感を得ることができる。
(第5実施形態)
 次に、第5実施形態における運転支援装置について説明する。なお、図1~図4で説明した事項については第1実施形態の場合と同様であるので、説明を省略する。
 第5実施形態では、表示画像(表示物)のうちの所定の文字部分を、車両1が移動して目標位置までの移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化させる。
 そのために、記憶部60は、移動予定距離が小さいほど表示物における所定の文字部分が第1の色から第2の色に変化するという、移動予定距離と所定の文字部分との対応情報を記憶する。また、表示制御部14dは、表示物における所定の文字部分を、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する。以下、第5実施形態について、具体例を用いて説明する。
 図13Aは、第5実施形態における撮影画像の一例を示す図である。図13Bは、図13Aの撮影画像に表示する文字の色の変化の一例を示す図である。ここでは、一例として、第1の色が白で、第2の色が赤であるものとする。つまり、図13Aで示すような表示画像における文字部分(符号1000)を、図13Bの符号L1~L5に示すように、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色(白)から第2の色(赤)に変化させる。
 そして、第5実施形態の運転支援装置の処理については、図8のフローチャートにおいて、ステップS7のみが異なる。ステップS7において、表示制御部14dは、表示画像のうちの所定の文字部分を、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色(白)から第2の色(赤)に変化させる。
 このようにして、第5実施形態の運転支援装置によれば、移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、表示物における所定の文字部分が第1の色から第2の色に変化するので、運転者は、その文字部分の色の変化から移動予定距離の変化を容易に認識することができ、安心感を得ることができる。
 本発明の実施形態を説明したが、これらの実施形態は、例示したものであり、発明の範囲を限定することは意図していない。これら新規な実施形態は、その他の様々な形態で実施されることが可能であり、発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で、種々の省略、置き換え、変更を行うことができる。これら実施形態やその変形は、発明の範囲や要旨に含まれるとともに、特許請求の範囲に記載された発明とその均等の範囲に含まれる。
 また、本発明の適用場面は、駐車時、縦列出庫時に限定されず、交差点での右左折時等、他の場面であってもよい。

Claims (8)

  1.  車両の周辺を表示部に表示する運転支援装置であって、
     車両位置から目標位置までの移動予定距離を計算する移動予定距離計算部と、
     前記目標位置が設定されているときには、前記目標位置が設定されていないときにも表示されている表示物の全部または一部を、前記移動予定距離に応じて第1の表示形態から第2の表示形態へ変更させる表示制御部と、
     を備える運転支援装置。
  2.  前記第1の表示形態は、前記目標位置が設定されていないときの表示形態である、請求項1に記載の運転支援装置。
  3.  前記第2の表示形態は、前記目標位置が設定されていないときの表示形態である、請求項1に記載の運転支援装置。
  4.  前記表示制御部は、前記表示物の一部であり、車両の進行方向を示す矢印を、前記移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、透明度が大きくなるように表示する、請求項1または請求項3に記載の運転支援装置。
  5.  前記表示制御部は、前記表示物の一部であり、車両の進行方向を示す矢印を、前記移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、長さが短くなるように表示する、請求項1に記載の運転支援装置。
  6.  前記表示制御部は、前記表示物の一部である車両を、前記移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する、請求項1または請求項2に記載の運転支援装置。
  7.  前記表示制御部は、前記表示物の全部の色合いを、前記移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する、請求項1に記載の運転支援装置。
  8.  前記表示制御部は、前記表示物の一部である所定の文字部分を、前記移動予定距離が小さくなるほど、第1の色から第2の色に変化するように表示する、請求項1に記載の運転支援装置。
