유기 광전자 소자 (organic optoelectronic diode)는 전기 에너지와 광 에너지를 상호 전환할 수 있는 소자이다.
유기 광전자 소자는 동작 원리에 따라 크게 두 가지로 나눌 수 있다.
하나는 광 에너지에 의해 형성된 엑시톤 (exciton)이 전자와 정공으로 분리되고 상기 전자와 정공이 각각 다른 전극으로 전달되면서 전기 에너지를 발생하는 광전 소자이고, 다른 하나는 전극에 전압 또는 전류를 공급하여 전기
에너지로부터 광 에너지를 발생하는 발광 소자이다.
유기 광전자 소자의 예로는 유기 광전 소자, 유기 발광 소자, 유기 태양 전지 및 유기 감광체 드럼 (organic photo conductor drum) 등을 들 수 있다.
이 중, 유기 발광 소자 (organic light emitting diode, OLED)는 근래 평판 표시 장치 (flat panel display device)의 수요 증가에 따라 크게 주목받고 있다. 유기 발광 소자는 유기 발광 재료에 전류를 가하여 전기 에너지를 빛으로 전환시키는 소자로서, 통상 애노드와 캐소드 사이에 유기층이 삽입된 구조로 이루어져 있다. 유기 발광 소자의 성능은 유기층의 특성에 의해 영향을 많이 받으며, 그 중에서도 유기층에 포함된 유기 재료에 의해 영향을 많이 받는다.
특히 유기 발광 소자가 대형 평판 표시 장치에 적용되기 위해서는 정공 및 전자의 이동성을 높이는 동시에 전기화학적 안정성을 높일 수 있는 유기 재료의 개발이 필요하다.

상술한 유기 화합물은 유기 광전자 소자에 적용될 수 있다. 상술한 유기 화합물은 단독으로 또는 다른 유기 화합물과 함께 유기 광전자 소자에 적용될 수 있다- 이하 상술한 유기 화합물을 적용한 유기 광전자 소자를 설명한다.
상기 유기 광전자 소자는 전기 에너지와 광 에너지를 상호 전환할 수 있는 소자이면 특별히 한정되지 않으며, 예컨대 유기 광전 소자, 유기 발광 소자, 유기 태양 전지 및 유기 감광체 드럼 등을 들 수 있다.
상기 유기 광전자 소자는 서로 마주하는 애노드와 캐소드, 그리고 상기 애노드와 상기 캐소드 사이에 위치하는 적어도 1층의 유기층을 포함할 수 있고, 상기 유기층은 전술한 유기 화합물을 포함할 수 있다.
일 예로, 상기 유기층은 상기 유기 화합물을 포함하는 발광층을 포함할 수 있다. .
본 발명의 일 예에서, 상기 유기층은 복수의 호스트를 포함하는 발광층을 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 발광층은 제 1 호스트로 상기 유기 화합물을 포함하고 제 2 호스트로 치환 또는 비치환된 트리아진일기 또는 치환 또는 비치환된
피리미딘일기를 포함하는 화합물을 포함할 수 있다. 바람직하게는, 상기 발광층은 제 1 호스트로 상기 유기 화합물을 포함하고 제 2 호스트로 트리아진일기를 포함하는 화합물을 포함할 수 있다. ᅳ
일 예로, 상기 게 2 호스트로 트리아진일기 또는 피리미딘일기를 포함하는 화합물은 트리아진일기에 C6 내지 C60 아릴기가 적어도 하나 치환된 형태의 화합물이거나 피리미딘일기에 C6 내지 C60 아릴기가 적어도 하나 치환된 형태의 화합물일 수 있다.
일 예로, 상기 게 2 호스트는 트리아진일기에 페닐기, 바이페닐기, 터페닐기 나프틸기, 안트라센일기, 트리페닐렌기, 쿼터페닐기 및 펜타페닐기에서 선택된 적어도 하나로 치환된 형태 일 수 있다.
일 예로, 상기 제 2 호스트는 피리미딘일기 또는 트리아진일기에 2개 또는
3개의 C6 내지 C60 아릴기가 치환된 형태일 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 3개의 C6 내지 C60 아릴기가 치환된 형태일 .수 있다. 또한 경우에 라, 아릴기는 해테로아릴기 또는 아릴기로 추가로 치환될 수 있다.
이와 같이, 상기 제 2 호스트로 전자 특성이 강한 트리아진일기 또는 피리미딘일기를 포함하는 화합물을 사용함으로써 정공 특성이 강한 본 발명의 유기화확물과 균형을 및:출 수 있어서 더욱 우수한 소자 특성을 나타낼 수 있다. 일 예로, 상기 유기층은 발광층, 애노드와 발광층 사이 및 /또는 캐소드와 발광층 사이에 위치하는 적어도 1층의 보조층올 포함할 수 있고, 상가보조층은 상기 유기 화합물을 포함할 수 있다.
일 예로, 상기 적어도 1층의 보조층 중 상기 발광층에 인접한 보조층은 상기 유기 화합물을 포함할 수 있다.
일 예로, 상기 유기층은 발광층, 애노드와 발광층 사이에 위치하는 정공 수송층, 상기 발광층과 상기 정공 수송층 사이에서 상기 발광층에 인접하게 위치하는 정공 수송 보조층올 포함할 수 있고, 상기 정공 수송 보조층은 상기 유기 화합물을 포함할 수 있다ᅳ
여기서는 유기 광전자 소자의 일 예인 유기 발광 소자를 도면을 참고하여 설명한다. .

도 1을 참고하면, 일 구현예에 따른 유기 발광 소자 (200)는 서로 마주하는 애노드 (1 10)와 캐소드 (120), 그리고 애노드 (1 10)와 캐소드 (120) 사이에 위치하는 유기층 (105)을 포함한다.
애노드 (1 10)는 예컨대 정공 주입이 원활하도록 일 함수가 높은 도전체로 만들어질 수 있으며, 예컨대 금속, 금속 산화물 및 /또는 도전성 고분자로 만들어질 수 있다. 애노드 (1 10)는 예컨대 니켈, 백금, 바나듐, 크름, 구리, 아연, 금과 같은 금속 또는 이들의 합금; 아연산화물, 인듐산화물, 인듐주석산화물 (ITO),
인듐아연산화물 (IZO)과 같은 금속 산화물; ZnO와 A1 또는 Sn02와 Sb와 같은 금속과 산화물의 조합; 폴리 (3-메틸티오펜), 폴리 (3,4- (에틸렌 -1,2- 디옥시)티오펜 )(polyehtylenedioxythiophene: PEDOT), 폴리피를 및 폴리아닐린과 같은 도전성 고분자 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
캐소드 (120)는 예컨대 전자 주입이 원활하도록 일 함수가 낮은 도전체로 만들어질 수 있으며, 예컨대 금속, 금속 산화물 및 /또는 도전성 고분자로 만들어질 수 있다. 캐소드 (120)은 예컨대 마그네슘, 칼슴, 나트륨, 칼륨, 타이타늄, 인듐, 이트륨, 리튬, 가돌리늄, 알루미늄, 은, 주석, 납, 세슘, 바륨 등과 같은 금속 또는 이들의 합금; LiF/Al, Li02/Al, LiF/Ca, LiF/Al 및 BaF2/Ca과 같은 다층 구조 물질을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
유기층 (105)은 발광층 (130)을 포함한다.
발광층 (130)은 호스트 (host)로서 상기 유기 화합물을 포함할 수 있으며, 전술한 유기 화합물을 단독으로 포함할 수도 있고 전술한 유기 화합물 중 적어도 두 종류를 흔합하여 포함할 수도 있고 전술한 유기 화합물과 다른 유기 화합물을 흔합하여 포함할 수도 있다.
일 예로, 상기 유기 화합물은 게 1 호스트로 사용될 수 있으며, 상기 유기 화합물과 상이한 유기 화합물을 제 2 호스트로 흔합하여 사용될 수 있다. 예컨대 게 2 호스트는 전자 특성을 가진 유기 화합물일 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
발광층 (130)은 도편트 (dopant)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 상기 도펀트는 적색, 녹색 또는 청색의 도편트일 수 있으며, 예컨대 청색 도편트일 수 있다.
상기 도편트는 상기 유기 화합물에 미량 흔합되어 발광을 일으키는 물질로, 일반적으로 삼중항 상태 이상으로 여기시키는 다중항 여기 (multiple excitation)에 의해 발광하는 금속 착체 (metal complex)와 같은 물질이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 도편트는 예컨대 무기, 유기, 유무기 화합물일 수 있으며, 1종 또는 2종 이상 포함될 수 있다.
상기 도펀트는 상기 유기 화합물에 미량 흔합되어 발광을 일으키는 물질로, 일반적으로 삼중항 상태 이상으로 여기시키는 다중항 여기 (multiple excitation)에 의해 발광하는 금속 착체 (metal complex)와 같은 물질이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 도편트는 예컨대 무기, 유기, 유무기 화합물일 수 있으며 , 1종 또는 2종 이상 포함될 수 있다.
발광층 (130)은 건식 성막법 또는 용액 공정으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 건식 성막법은 예컨대 화학기상증착법, 스퍼터링, 플라즈마 도금 및 이온도금 일 수 있고, 둘 이상의 화합물을 동시에 성막하거나 증착 온도가 같은 화합물을 흔합하여 같이 성막할 수 있다. 상기 용액 공정은 예컨대 잉크젯 인쇄, 스핀 코팅, 슬릿 코팅, 바 코팅 및 /또는 딥 코팅일 수 있다.
유기층 (105)은 발광층 (130)과 애노드 (1 10) 사이에 위치하는 정공
보조층 (140)을 포함한다. 정공 보조층 (140)은 애노드 (110)와 발광층 (130) 사이의 정공의 주입 및 /또는 이동을 개선하고 전자의 진입을 차단 및 /또는 감소할 수 있다.

수송층 (141)으로부터 전달되는 정공의 주입 및 /또는 이동을 더욱 효과적으로 개선하고 전자의 진입을 효과적으로 차단 및 /또는 감소시킴으로써 유기 발광 소자의 효율 및 수명을 개선할 수 있다.
도 1 및 도 2에서 유기층 (105)으로서 추가로 캐소드 (120)와 발광층 (130) 사이에 위치하는 적어도 1층의 전자 보조층 (도시하지 않음)을 더 포함할 수 있다. 상술한 유기 발광 소자는 유가발광 표시 장치에 적용될 수 있다.
【발명의 실시를 위한 형태】
이하에서는 본 발명의 구체적인 실시예들을 제시한다. 다만, 하기에 기재된 실시예들은 본 발명을 구체적으로 예시하거나 설명하기 위한 것에 불과하며, 이로서 본 발명이 제한되어서는 아니된다.
유기 화합물의 합성
합성예 1: 화합물 A-5 의 합성

1 ,3-Dibromo-2-Chloro-Benzene leq(45.5g), 2-Aminophenylboronic acid 2eq(46.6g), Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0)(Pd(PPh3)4) 5mol%(9.82g), K2C03 2eq(47.0g)를 를루엔 (고형분의 12배수, 550ml)과 증류수 (K2C03 양의 5배수, 235ml)에 현탁시킨 후 질소기류 하에서 18 시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반웅 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슴설페이트 (Mgsa 로 건조, 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =7:3(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여.생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 아세톤으 ¾ 재결정하여 중간체 a-l(37g,
Y=74%)을 얻었다. 단계 2:
중간체 a-1 leq(36.5g)를 다이옥산에 교반하여 녹인 후 염산 (35%) 7eq(72ml)을 천천히 투입하였다. 이어서 소듐나이트레이트 2eq(18.9g) 및 소듐아자이드
2eq(16.2g)를 증류수에 녹여 1시간 간격으로 투입하였다. 반웅이 완료되면, NaOH로 중화한 다음 메탄올로 침전시키고, 물과 메탄올로 씻어준 다음 건조하였다.
얻어진 생성물을 핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 중간체 a-2(35g, Y=81%)를 얻었다.
단계 3 :
중간체 a-2 1eq(35g)를 o-다이클로로벤젠에 18시간 환류 교반하여 반웅이 완료되면, 용매를 제거하고 디클로로메탄 /핵산으로 재결정하여 중간체 a-3(27.5g, Y=94%)을 얻었다ᅳ
단계 4:
중간체 a-3 leq(27.5g), 브로모벤젠 2eq(29.8g), 소듐 t-부록사이드 2eq(36.4g) 및 Tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(OXPd2(dba)3) 0.05eq(4.34g)를 를루엔 (330ml)에 현탁시킨 후 트리 -터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq를 넣고 18시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반윷 .종료 후 틀루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고
핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트으로 재결정하여 중간체 a-4(22g, Y=52%)를 얻었다.
단계 5:
중간체 a-4 leq(22g), 2-(4-페닐보로닉엑시드 )-9-페닐-카바졸 leq(18g), Pd2(dba)3 5mol%(2.27g) 및 C¾C03 2eq(32.4g)를 를루엔 250ml에 현탁시킨 후 트리- 터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq(L5g)을 넣고 질소기류 하에서 18시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반웅 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 이어서 유기 용액을 제거하고 헥산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트으로 재결정하여 화합물 A-5 (12g, Y=33%)를 얻었다. 합성예 2: 화합물 A-6 의 합성
중간체 a-4 leq(22g), 3-(4-페닐보로닉엑시드) -9-페닐-카바졸 leq(18g), Pd2(dba)3 5mol%(2.27g) 및 Cs2C03 2eq(32.4g)를 를루엔 250ml에 현탁시킨 후 트리- 터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq(1.5g)을 넣고 질소기류 하에서 18시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조, 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트으로 재결정하여 화합물 A-6 (14.5g, Y=40%)올 얻었다.

Indolo[2,3-c]carbazole,5,8-dihydro-5,8-diphenyl 25.1g^t' N- 브로모석신이미드 (NBS) 0.95eq(10.4g)을 클로로포름 250ml에 현탁시킨 후 질소 기류 하께 8시간 교반하였다. 반웅 종료 후 물로 세척한 다음 물층을 제거하고, 유기충만 여과하여 여과액을 아세톤으로 재결정 하여 중간체 1 1(2그6§, 92%)을 얻었다
단계 2:
중간체 b-1 leq(13.4g), 3-(4-페닐보로닉엑시드) -9-페닐-카바졸 leq(lO.Og), Pd(PPh3)4 5mol%(1.6g) 및 K2C03 2eq (그 6g)를 를루엔 (고형분의 12배수, 160ml)과 증류수 (K2C03 양의 5배수, 40ml)에 현탁시킨 후 질소기류 하에서 18 시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반웅 종료 후 틀루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을
마그네슴설페이트 (MgS04)로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =7:3(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 아세톤으로 재결정하여 화합물 C-5 (14.1g, Y=71 %)를 얻었다.

마그네슘설페이트 (MgS04)로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =7:3(v/v)으로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 아세톤으로 재결정하여 중간체 c-1 (23.5g, Y=47%)을 얻었다.
단계 2:
중간체 c-1 leq(23.5g)를 다이옥산에 교반하여 녹인 후 염산 (35%) 7eq(50ml)을 천천히 투입하였다ᅳ 이어서 소듐나이트레이트 2eq(12.1 g) 및 소듐아자이드
2eq(10.4g)를 증류수에 녹여 1시간 간격으로 투입하였다. 반웅이 완료되면, NaOH로 중화한 다음 메탄올로 침전시키고, 물과 메탄올로 씻어준 다음 건조하였다. 얻어진 생성물을 핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 중간체 c-2 (22.6g, Y=82%)를 얻었다.
단계 3:
중간체 c-2 leq(22.6g)를 o-다이클로로벤젠에 18시간 환류교반하여 반웅이 완료되면, 용매를 제거하고 디클로로메탄 /핵산으로 재결정하여 중간체 c-3 (15.3g Y=81%)을 얻었다.
단계 4:
중간체 c-3 leq(15.3g)을 브로모벤젠 2eq(16.5g), 소듐 t-부톡사이드 2eq(20.2g) 및 Pd2(dba)3 0.05eq(2.4g)를 를루엔 (330ml)에 현탁시킨 후 트리 -터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq(1.6g)를 넣고 18 시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트으로 재결정하여 중간체 c-4(10.8g Y=46%)를 얻었다.
단계 5:
중간체 c-4 leq(10.8g), 3-(4-페닐보로닉액시드) -9-페닐-카바졸 leq(8.9g), Pd2(dba)3 5mol%(l . lg) 및 Cs2C03 2eq(15.9g)를 를루엔 120ml에 현탁시킨 후 트리- 터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq(0.75g)을 넣고 질소기류 하에서 18시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조, 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =7:3(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성볼 고체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트으로 재결정하여 화합물 D-5 (9.3g Y=53%)를 얻었다.

합성예 5: 화합물 D-7 의 합성
중간체 c-4 leq(8.3g), 3-(4-페닐보로닉엑시드) -9- (바이페닐 -3)-카바졸 leq(8.2g),
Pd2(dba)3 5mol%(0.86g) 및 Cs2C03 2eq(12.2g)를 를루엔 100ml에 현탁시킨 후 트리- 터셔리부틸포스핀 0.15eq(0.57g)을 넣고 질소기류 하에서 18시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘 설페이트로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =7:3(v/v)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 ¾체를 디클로로메탄과 에틸아세테이트로 재결정하여 화합물 D-7 (5.6g Y=37%)을 얻었다.

비교 합성예 l: Host-l의 합성
단계 1 :
Indolo[2,3-a]carbazole, 11 ,12-dihydro- 11,12-diphenyl 25.1g와 N- 브로모석신이미드 (NBS) 0.95eq(10.4g)을 클로로포름 200ml에 현탁시킨 후 질소 기류 하에 8시간 교반하였다. 반웅 종료 후 물로 세척한 다음 물충올 제거하고, 유기층만 여과하여 여과액을 아세톤으로 재결정 하여 중간체 h-l(28.5g, 95%)올 얻었다
단계 2:
중간체 h-1 leq(M. lg), 3-(4-페닐보로닉엑시드) -9-페닐-카바졸 leq(10.5g), Pd(PPh3)4 5mol%(1.7g) 및 K2C03 2eq(8.0g)를 톨루엔 (고형분의 12배수, 170ml)과 증류수 (K2C03양의 5배수, 40ml)에 현탁시킨 후 질소기류 하에서 18 시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층올

비교 합성예 2: Host-2 의 합성
바교합성예 1의 단계 1에 따른 중간체 h-1 leq(15.0g), 3-보로닉액시드 -9- 페닐-카바졸 leq(8.8g), Pd(PPh3)4 5mol%(1.8g), K2C03 2eq(8.5g)를 를루엔 (고형분의
12배수, 180ml)과 증류수 (K2C03 양의 5배수, 45ml)에 현탁시킨 후 질소기류 하에서 18 시간 동안 환류 교반하였다. 반응 종료 후 를루엔과 증류수로 추출 후 유기층을 마그네슘설페이트 (MgS04)로 건조 및 여과하고 여과액을 감압 농축하였다. 유기 용액을 제거하고 핵산:디클로로메탄 =8:2(ν/ν)로 실리카겔 컬럼하여 생성물 고체를 디클로로메탄과 아세톤으로 재결정하여 화합물 Host-2 (M.3g, Y=72%)를 얻었다.
LC-Mass 측정 (이론치: 649.25g/mol, 측정치 : M = 649g/mol)

유기 발광 소자의 제작
실시예 1
ITO 전극이 형성된 유리 기판을 50mm X 50mm X 0.5mm 크기로 잘라서 아세톤 이소프로필 알코을과 순수물 속에서 각 15분 동안 초음파 세정한 후, 30분 동안 UV 오존 세정하였다. ―
상기 ΠΌ 전극 상에 m-MTDATA를 증착 속도 1 A /sec로 진공 증착하여 600 A 두께의 정공 주입층을 형성하고, 상기 정공 주입층 상에 화합물 HTL-1을 증착 속도 l A/sec로 진공 증착하여 300 A 두께의 정공 수송층을 형성하였다. 이어서, 상기 정공 수송층 상에 Ir(ppy)3(도편트), 합성예 1에서 얻은 화합물 A-5 및 화합물 ETH-1을 각각 10:45:45의 중량비로 공증착하여 400A의 두께의 발광층을 형성하였다. 이어서 상기 발광층 상에 BAlq을 증착 속도 1 A/sec로 진공 증착하여 50 A의 두께의 정공 저지층을 형성한 후, 상기 정공 저지층 상에 Alq3를 진공 증착하여 300A 두께의 전자 수송층을 형성하였다. 상기 전자 수송층 상에 LiF lOA (전자 주입층)과 A1 2000A (캐소드)을 순차적으로 진공 증착하여, 유기 발광 소자를 제작하였다.

HTL- ETH-1 실시예 2 내지 7
합성예 1에서 얻은 화합물 A-1 대신 합성예 2 내지 7에서 얻은 화합물 A-6: 화합물 C-5, 화합물 D-5, 화합물 D-7, 화합물 F-2 및 화합물 F-5를 사용한 것을 제외하고 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 실시예 2 내지 7에 따른 유기 발광 소자를 제작하였다.
비교예 1
합성예 1에서 얻은 화합물 A-1 대신 비교합성예 1에서 얻은 Host-1을 사용한 것을 제외하고 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 유기 발광 소자를 제작하였다. 비교예 2
합성예 1에서 얻은 화합물 A-1 대신 비교합성예 2에서 얻은 Host-2을 사용한 것을 제외하고 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 유기 발광 소자를 제작하였다. 유기발광소자의 성능 측정
실시예 1 내지 7과 비교예 1 , 2에 따른 유기발광소자의 구동 전압, 발광효율 및 수명특성을 측정하였다. 구체적인 측정방법은 다음과 같다.
1) 전압 변화에 따른 전류 밀도의 변화 측정
실시예 1 내지 7과 비교예 1, 2에 따른 유기발광소자에 대해 전압을 상승시키면서 전류-전압계 (Keithley 2400)를 이용하여 단위소자에 흐르는 전류값을 측정하고, 측정된 전류값을 면적으로 나누어 전류 밀도를 측정하였다.
2) 전압 변화에 따른 휘도 변화 측정
실시예 1 내지 7와 비교예 1 , 2에 따른 유기발광소자에 대해 전압을 상승시키면서 휘도계 (Minolta Cs-1000 A)를 이용하여 휘도를 측정하였다.
3) 발광효율의 측정
" 1) 전압 변화에 따른 전류 밀도의 변화 측정" 및 "2) 전압 변화에 따른 휘도 변화 측정"에서 측정된 휘도 값과 전류 밀도 및 전압 (V)을 이용하여 발광 효율을 계산하였고, 그 결과를 각각 표 1에 정리하였다.

표 1을 참고하면, 실시예 1 내지 7에 따른 유기발광소자는 비교예 1, 2에 따른 유기발광소자와 비교하여 현저히 낮은 구동전압을 가지며, 발광 효율 또한 적어도 16% 이상 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 측정된 수명데이터를 기준으로 비교시, 실시예에 따른 유기발광소자가 비교예에 따른 유기발광소자와 비교하여 수명이 다소 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있다. 본 발명은 상기 실시예들에 한정되는 것이 아니라 서로 다른 다양한 형태로 제조될 수 있으며, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명의 기술적 사상이나 필수적인 특징을 변경하지 않고서 다른 구체적인 형태로 실시될 수 있다는 것을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 이상에서 기술한 실시예들은 모든 면에서 예시적인 것이며 한정적이 아닌 것으로 이해해야만 한다.
