Description

排気ガス浄化システムおよび排気ガス浄化方法
 本発明は、排気ガス浄化システムおよび排気ガス浄化方法に関する。
 ディーゼルエンジンでは、排気ガス中に含まれる粒子状物質(Particulate Matter:PM)を除去するため、排気管路中にDiesel Particulate Filter(DPF)が設けられる。DPFは、排気ガス中に含まれるススなどのPMを捕集し、PMが低減された排気ガスを外気に排出する。DPFにより捕集したPMが多くなると、フィルタ機能が低下するため、DPFでは、捕集したPMを燃焼させる再生処理が行われる。
 DPFの再生には、排気ガスの温度が高いときに堆積したPMが自然に燃焼する自然再生と、PM堆積量が所定の基準値を超えたときに行う強制再生とがある。DPFの強制再生では、排気温度を高めるようにエンジンの運転状態を調整し、さらにDPFの前段において燃料を噴射する外部ドージング、またはエンジンのシリンダ内に燃料を噴射する内部ドージングを行うことにより、堆積したPMを強制的に燃焼させる。
 ここで、DPFに捕集されるPM堆積量は、エンジン運転中は実測することができないため、推定によって算出される。従来、PM堆積量の算出は、DPFの排気ガスの入口および出口間の差圧を検出し、この差圧に基づいてPM堆積量を算出していた。そして、PM堆積量が一定の量を超えた場合に、強制再生を実施していた。
 しかしながら、図14に示すように、DPFを構成するセル内に捕集されたPM101は、セル内において、一様に堆積するが、PM101が多くなると、セル内に堆積したPM101が所々で剥がれ落ち、剥がれたPM102によってセル閉塞を生じることがある。セル閉塞が生じると、DPFの差圧は、大きくなり、実際のPM堆積量が、強制再生が必要な程ではないにも拘わらず、強制再生が行われてしまう。
 このため、特許文献1には、DPFに入力される排気ガス内のPM量から、DPF内で燃焼されるPM量を減算するモデルを用い、DPFに堆積するPM量を推定し、これを用いて強制再生処理を行う技術が開示されている。
 また、特許文献2には、DPFの差圧の低下率が規定の値以上となったときに、DPFの強制再生処理を行う技術が開示されている。

 しかしながら、セル閉塞が生じている部分では、PMの密度が高く、そのまま強制再生を行うと、PMの燃焼温度が非常に高くなり、セルが溶損してしまう可能性がある。前記特許文献1および前記特許文献2に記載の技術では、このような場合におけるセルの溶損を防止することができない。
 本発明の目的は、セルの溶損を防止することができ、かつフィルタ内に堆積した粒子状物質を、効率的に燃焼させることのできる、排気ガス浄化システムおよび排気ガス浄化方法を提供することにある。
 本発明の排気ガス浄化システムは、
 エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
 前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、
 前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する流量検出部と、
 前記差圧検出部および前記流量検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理温度を設定する再生温度設定部と、
 前記再生温度設定部により設定された再生処理温度に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う再生処理部と、を備え、
 前記再生温度設定部は、前記再生処理部により再生処理を開始する第1の再生処理温度を設定し、所定の排気ガス流量のときに、前記差圧検出部により検出される差圧が所定の閾値以下となったら、前記第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば、再生温度設定部が、所定の排気ガス流量のときに、前記差圧検出部により検出される差圧が所定の閾値以下となるまでは、低い温度である第1の再生処理温度に設定して、フィルタの再生処理を行い、差圧が、所定の閾値以下となったら、高い温度である第2の再生処理温度に設定して、フィルタの再生処理を行う。したがって、低い温度により閉塞されたセルの粒子状物質の密度の高い部分を燃焼させた後、高い温度によりセル内の粒子状物質を燃焼させることができるため、燃焼温度を上昇させることなく、フィルタのセルの溶損を防止することができ、かつフィルタに堆積した粒子状物質を効率的に燃焼させることができる。
 本発明の排気ガス浄化システムは、
 エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子物質を捕集するフィルタと、
 前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、
 前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する流量検出部と、
 前記差圧検出部および前記流量検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記フィルタ内に堆積した粒子状物質の差圧堆積量を算出する差圧堆積量算出部と、
 前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質の差圧堆積量に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理温度を設定する再生温度設定部と、
 前記再生温度設定部により設定された再生処理温度に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う再生処理部と、を備え、
 前記再生温度設定部は、前記再生処理部により再生処理を開始する第1の再生処理温度を設定し、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質の差圧堆積量が、所定の閾値以下となったら、前記第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする。
 本発明の排気ガス浄化システムは、
 エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
 前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、

 本発明では、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量の時間変化率が、所定の値よりも大きいときに、粒状物質の堆積モデルを用いて、モデル堆積量を算出するモデル堆積量算出部と、
 前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量、および前記モデル堆積量算出部により算出されたモデル堆積量に基づいて、粒子状物質堆積量を算出する粒子状物質堆積量算出部と、を備え、
 前記再生温度設定部は、前記差圧推定量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量が、前記粒子状物質堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質堆積量未満となったら、前記第2の再生処理温度を設定するのが好ましい。
 本発明では、前記モデル堆積量算出部により用いられる堆積モデルは、前記フィルタに入力される前記排気ガス内の粒子状物質量から、前記フィルタ内で燃焼される粒子状物質量を減算するモデルであり、
 前記粒子状物質堆積量算出部は、第1係数および第2係数の和が一定値を取ることを条件に、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量に第1係数を乗算し、前記モデル堆積量算出部により算出されたモデル堆積量に第2係数を乗算し、これらの加算値を前記粒子状物質堆積量として算出するのが好ましい。
 本発明では、前記再生温度設定部は、前記第1の再生処理温度から前記第2の再生処理温度への遷移を、所定の時間かけて行うのが好ましい。
 本発明の排気ガス浄化方法は、
 エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する手順と、
 前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する手順と、
 検出された差圧および流量に基づいて、所定の排気ガス流量のときに、前記差圧検出部により検出される差圧が所定の閾値以下となったら、再生処理を開始時の第1の再生処理温度よりも、高い第2の再生処理温度を設定し、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う手順と、を実施することを特徴とする。

 [1]ディーゼルエンジン1の全体構成
 図1は、本発明の実施形態に係る排気ガス浄化装置9を含むディーゼルエンジン1の概要構成を示す模式図である。図1において、ディーゼルエンジン1は、内部に複数の燃焼室が形成されたエンジン本体2と、吸入される空気を、フィルタを用いて濾過し、埃などの異物が燃焼室に混入するのを防止するエアクリーナ3と、エンジン本体2内部の各燃焼室に給気を供給する給気管路4と、エンジン本体2内部の各燃焼室から排出された排気ガスを排出する排気管路5と、冷却機構6と、排気タービン過給機7と、排気ガス再循環システム8と、排気ガス浄化装置9と、エンジンコントローラ10と、再生制御部11と、再生指示部12とを備える。
 エンジン本体2と給気管路4との間には、給気管路4からの給気がエンジン本体2内部の各燃焼室に分配されるように、給気マニホールド4Aが取り付けられている。エンジン本体2と排気管路5との間には、エンジン本体2内部の各燃焼室から排出された排気ガスがまとめて排気管路5に流入するように、排気マニホールド5Aが取り付けられている。
 給気管路4には、排気タービン過給機7によって圧縮された空気を冷却するためのアフタークーラ13が設けられている。冷却機構6は、エンジン本体2内に収められた図示しないクランクシャフト等により駆動されるポンプ14を備える。
 ポンプ14によって圧送された冷却水は、エンジン本体2、排気タービン過給機7、図示しないオイルクーラ等の冷却が必要な部位を冷却した後、冷却機構6に設けられたラジエータ15によって空冷される。
 アフタークーラ13およびラジエータ15は、エンジン本体2に設けられ、かつ、図示しないクランクシャフト等によって回転駆動されるファン16によって、その冷却作用が促進される。
 排気タービン過給機7は、排気管路5の途中に設けられたタービン17と、給気管路4の途中に設けられ、タービン17に連結されて駆動されるコンプレッサ18と、タービン17に供給される排気ガスの流速を制御する可変ターボノズル19とを備える。
 排気タービン過給機7は、可変ターボノズル19の開度を制御することにより、タービン17の回転数を制御する。タービン17の回転によってコンプレッサ18が駆動し、エンジン本体2への給気過給が行われる。なお、可変ターボノズル19は、全閉時には、バイパス路20を介して排気ガス浄化装置9側に排気するようにしている。
 すなわち、可変ターボノズル19が開時には、排気ガスをタービン翼車17Aに供給して仕事をさせ、可変ターボノズル19が全閉時には、排気ガスを、バイパス路20を介して排気ガス浄化装置9側に出力して、タービン翼車17Aへの仕事を小さくして排気温度を高めるようにしている。
 排気ガス再循環システム8は、排気マニホールド5Aと給気管路4とを連通する排気再循環通路8Aを備える。排気再循環通路8Aは、排気マニホールド5Aから排気ガスの一部を抽出して給気管路4に再循環させる。排気再循環通路8Aには、排気再循環通路8Aを開閉するExhaust Gas Recirculation(EGR)バルブ8Bと、排気マニホールド5Aからの排気ガスを冷却するEGRクーラ8Cとが設けられている。排気ガス再循環システム8は、排気再循環通路8Aを介して排気ガスの一部を給気マニホールド4Aに還流させることによって、給気中の酸素濃度を低下させ、エンジン本体2の燃焼温度を下げる。これにより、排気ガス中に含まれる窒素酸化物の量を低減させることができる。
 [2]排気ガス浄化装置9の構造
 排気ガス浄化システムとしての排気ガス浄化装置9は、タービン17の下流側に設けられ、排気ガスに含まれるPMを除去するものであり、ディーゼル酸化触媒(Diesel Oxidant Catalyst:DOC)21、DPF22、差圧センサ23、温度センサ24を備える。
 DOC21およびDPF22は、円筒状の排気管路内部に設けられ、排気管路の上流側にDOC21が設けられ、排気管路の下流側にDPF22が設けられる。
 また、タービン17と排気ガス浄化装置9との間には、ドージング燃料供給装置25から供給されるドージング燃料を噴射するドージングノズル25Aが配置される。このドージング燃料の噴射は、強制再生が指示された場合に行われる。
 DOC21は、Pt(白金)などによって構成され、排気ガスに含まれるCO(一酸化炭素)、HC(炭化水素)、PMに含まれる可溶性有機成分(Soluble Organic Fraction:SOF)を酸化して除去する。また、DOC21は、排気ガスに含まれるNO(一酸化窒素)を酸化して、NO(二酸化窒素)に変化させ、さらにはドージングノズル25Aから噴射されたドージング燃料を酸化することによって排気ガス温度を上昇させる。
 DPF22は、PMを捕集する。DPF22は、炭化珪素等を基材として構成される。
 排気ガスに含まれるPMは、DPF22に形成された微細な孔を通過する際に捕集される。DPF22は、図1に示すように、排気ガスの流れ方向に沿った微細流路を有するセルが円筒状の排気管路内に密集配置される。本実施形態のDPF22は、上流側端部を目封じさせたセルと、下流側端部を目封じさせたセルとを交互に配置したウォールフロー型DPFである。
 捕集されたPMは、排気ガスが酸化反応を進行させることができる温度であることを条件として、排気ガスに含まれる酸素およびDOC21において生成されたNOによって酸化(燃焼)されることになる。
 差圧センサ23は、DPF22の上流側に配置され、DPF22の上流側の圧力を検出する圧力センサ23Aと、DPF23の下流側に配置され、DPF22の下流側の圧力を検出する圧力センサ23Bと、圧力センサ23Aが検出した圧力から圧力センサ23Bが検出した圧力を減算した差圧を再生制御部11に出力する差圧検出部23Cとを備える。
 温度センサ24は、DPF22の上流側に配置され、DPF22の入口の排気温度を検出し、DPF温度として再生制御部11に出力する。
 [3]エンジンコントローラ10の構造
 エンジンコントローラ10は、図示しないアクセルペダルなどのオペレータの要求に応じた入力手段の入力値に応じて、燃料噴射量、燃料噴射タイミング、EGRバルブ8B、可変ターボノズル19を調整して、エンジン回転数やトルク制御を行う。
 ディーゼルエンジン1は、エンジン回転速度センサ1Aと、給気圧センサ1Bと、排気圧センサ1Cと、タービン回転速度センサ1Dと、流量センサ1Eとを備え、各センサの出力が、エンジンコントローラ10に入力される。
 エンジン回転速度センサ1Aは、エンジン本体2の図示しないクランクシャフトの回転速度を検出し、図示しないクランクシャフトの回転速度を示す信号を、エンジンコントローラ10に出力する。
 給気圧センサ1Bは、コンプレッサ18の出口通路と給気マニホールド4Aとの間の給気圧力を検出し、エンジンコントローラ10に出力する。
 排気圧センサ1Cは、排気マニホールド5Aとタービン17の入口通路との間の排気圧力を検出し、排気圧力をエンジンコントローラ10に出力する。
 タービン回転速度センサ1Dは、タービン17の回転速度を検出し、タービン17の回転速度をエンジンコントローラ10に出力する。
 流量センサ1Eは、エアクリーナ3から供給される空気の流量を検出し、エアクリーナ3から供給される空気の流量をエンジンコントローラ10に出力する。
 また、再生処理部としてのエンジンコントローラ10は、再生制御部11からの指示によって、燃料噴射量、燃料噴射タイミング、EGRバルブ8B、可変ターボノズル19を制御して、排気温度を上昇させ、その後ドージングノズル25Aからドージング燃料を噴射することによって、強制再生制御を行う。特に、エンジンコントローラ10は、強制再生を行う場合、燃料噴射量を抑え、EGRバルブ8B、可変ターボノズル19をそれぞれ閉にすることによって排気温度を上昇させる。
 [4]再生制御部11の構造
 再生制御部11は、エンジンコントローラ10から得られる排気ガス流量情報、PM発生量情報、PM燃焼量情報、差圧センサ23により検出される差圧、および温度センサ24により検出されるDPF温度に基づいて、DPF22に堆積するPM堆積量PMsを推定し、PM堆積量PMsが所定の閾値PMthを超える場合に、再生指示部12に通知する。また、再生制御部11は、再生指示部12からの手動再生指示があった場合に、エンジンコントローラ10に手動強制再生を行わせる。再生制御部11は、手動強制再生が終了した場合、その旨を再生指示部12に通知する。
 再生指示部12は、運転席近傍に設けられた入出力操作が可能な表示パネルに設けられ、再生制御部11から通知があった場合、手動再生指示を促す警告表示を行うとともに、手動再生指示の操作があった場合に、手動再生指示を再生制御部11に出力する。また、再生指示部12は、手動強制再生指示の終了通知があった場合、その旨を表示出力する。
 再生制御部11は、図1および図2に示すように、差圧堆積量算出部26、モデル堆積量算出部27、差圧堆積量時間変化率算出部28、PM堆積量算出部(粒子状物質堆積量算出部)29、および再生温度設定部30を備える。
 差圧堆積量算出部26には、差圧センサ23からのDPF22の差圧と、温度センサ24からのDPF温度と、エンジンコントローラ10からの排気ガス流量情報とが入力される。排気ガス流量情報は、DPF22に入力される排気ガス体積流量である。
 流量検出部としてのエンジンコントローラ10は、流量センサ1Eが検出した給気質量流量と、図1では図示を略したが、燃料噴射量センサが検出した燃料噴射量から推定される排気質量流量とを加算した質量流量を、差圧堆積量算出部26に出力する。差圧堆積量算出部26は、排気ガスの質量流量を、温度センサ24から出力されたDPF温度に基づいて、排気体積流量に変換する。
 差圧堆積量算出部26は、変換された排気ガス流量QVと、差圧DPと、PM堆積量との関係を示す三次元マップを有し、検出結果となる変換された排気ガス流量および差圧を入力値として、PM堆積量を出力する。具体的には、図3に示すように、三次元マップは、PM堆積量をパラメータとした排気ガス流量QVと差圧DPとの関係を記憶している。排気ガス流量QVが一定の場合、差圧DPの増大に伴ってPM堆積量は増大する。また、差圧DPが一定の場合、排気ガス流量QVの増大に伴ってPM堆積量は減少する。たとえば、図3に示すように、排気ガス流量がQV1で、差圧がDP1~DP4の場合、それぞれPM堆積量は、P1~P4となる。すなわち、PM堆積量は、P1よりP4のほうが大きい。そして、差圧堆積量算出部26は、推定したPM堆積量を差圧堆積量PMaとして、PM堆積量算出部29および差圧堆積量時間変化率算出部28に出力する。
 モデル堆積量算出部27には、図4に示すように、エンジンコントローラ10からのPM発生量情報およびPM燃焼量情報と、温度センサ24からのDPF温度とが入力される。エンジンコントローラ10は、燃料噴射量や空燃比などをもとに推定した排気ガス内のPM発生量を示すPM発生量情報と、DOC21から出力されると推定したNO発生量およびDOC21から出力されるO発生量を示すPM燃焼量情報とを、モデル堆積量算出部27に出力する。
 モデル堆積量算出部27は、ディーゼルエンジン1から発生し、DPF22に入力される粒子状物質量としてのPM発生量から、DPF22により燃焼される粒子状物質量としてのPM燃焼量を減算することによって、PM堆積量を推定する堆積モデルMを用いる。なお、堆積モデルMは、PM堆積速度を算出している。
 NOによるPM燃焼量算出部27Aは、エンジンコントローラ10から出力されたNO発生量と、DPF温度とに基づいて、あらかじめ実測等で求めておいたDPF22に堆積したPMが、NOによって酸化(燃焼)される反応速度をマップ等で記憶しておいたものを用い、NOによるPM燃焼速度を算出する。
 OによるPM燃焼量算出部27Bは、エンジンコントローラ10から出力されたO発生量と、DPF温度とに基づいて、あらかじめ実測等で求めておいたDPF22に堆積したPMが、Oによって酸化(燃焼)される反応速度をマップ等で記憶しておいたものを用い、OによるPM燃焼速度を算出する。
 ここで、エンジンコントローラ10から出力されるPM発生量は、PM発生速度であり、演算器27Cは、PM発生速度からNOによるPM燃焼速度、およびOによるPM燃焼速度を減算したPM堆積速度を、積算部27Dに出力する。積算部27Dは、入力されたPM堆積速度に基づいて、PM堆積量を積算し、この積算したPM堆積量をモデル堆積量PMbとしてPM堆積量算出部29に出力する。
 図2に戻り、粒子状物質堆積量算出部としてのPM堆積量算出部29は、差圧堆積量算出部26から入力された差圧堆積量PMaと、モデル堆積量算出部27から入力されたモデル堆積量PMbとに対して重み係数をかけた加算値としてPM堆積量(粒子状物質堆積量)PMsを算出する。PM堆積量PMsは、第1係数α(0≦α≦1)として次式(1)で表される。
 PMs=α・PMa+(1-α)・PMb…(1)
 すなわち、差圧堆積量PMaに重み係数である第1係数αを乗算し、モデル堆積量PMbに重み係数である第2係数(1-α)を乗算し、それぞれの和を取ったときに、一定値の「1」となるようにしている。換言すれば、第1係数αによって、差圧堆積量PMaとモデル堆積量PMbとの配分比を決定している。第1係数αが1であれば、PM堆積量PMsは、差圧堆積量PMaの値となり、第1係数αが0であれば、PM堆積量PMsは、モデル堆積量PMbの値となる。
 また、PM堆積量算出部29は、第1係数αを決定する係数決定部29Aを有する。係数決定部29Aには、エンジンコントローラ10からの排気ガス流量情報と、温度センサ24からのDPF温度とが入力され、DPF温度で変換補正したDPF22における排気ガス流量を算出し、この排気ガス流量の値が、所定の閾値QVthを超えた場合には、第1係数αを1に設定し、排気ガス流量の値が閾値QVth未満である場合には、第1係数αを0に設定する。
 差圧堆積量時間変化率算出部28は、差圧堆積量算出部26から入力される差圧堆積量PMaの時間変化率である差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaを算出し、係数決定部29A内の係数修正部29Bに出力する。係数決定部29Aは、差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMa が閾値ΔPMathを超えた場合に、第1係数αの値を、1よりも小さいα’に修正する。
 図1に示すように、再生温度設定部30は、DPF22の再生開始時の第1の再生処理温度を、所定の条件に基づいて、第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度に設定する。
 具体的には、再生温度設定部30は、ドージングノズル25Aから噴射されたドージング燃料による燃焼温度を温度センサ24により検出し、検出された温度が目標温度に達しているかどうかを判定し、ドージングノズル25Aからの燃料噴射量を調整する。
 DPF22内に堆積したPMが脱落して、セル閉塞が生じている部分は、図5に示すように、時点t2で通常の再生処理温度で再生処理を行うと、PMの密度が高くなっているため、PMの燃焼が進むにつれ、通常の再生処理温度による目標値よりも、応答する実際の燃焼温度が高くなってしまう。DPF22内における燃焼温度の上昇は、DPF22を構成するセルの溶損を招き、DPF22自体が損傷してしまう。
 そこで、再生温度設定部30は、図6に示すように、時点t2では通常の再生処理温度よりも低い第1の再生処理温度によるDPF22の再生処理を開始し、所定の条件となった時点t3で、第2の再生処理温度(通常の再生温度)に切り替える。
 所定の条件とは、詳しくは、差圧堆積量算出部26から入力される差圧堆積量PMaが所定の閾値PMth以下となり、かつ、差圧堆積量PMaが、式(1)により算出された粒子物質堆積量であるPM堆積量PMs未満となった場合である。この条件を満たす場合に、再生温度設定部30は、前述した図14に示すようなセル閉塞が解消した判定し、第1の再生処理温度から第2の再生処理温度に設定する。
 なお、本実施形態では、所定の条件として、差圧堆積量PMaが、所定の閾値PMth以下、かつPM堆積量PMs未満となることを条件として第2の再生処理温度への遷移を行っているが、本発明はこれに限られない。たとえば、差圧検出部23Cにより検出された差圧が所定の閾値以下となった場合を、所定の条件として第2の再生処理温度に遷移するように設定してもよい。
 また、再生温度設定部30による第1の再生処理温度から第2の再生処理温度への遷移は、図6に示すように、一定の時間Δtをかけて、徐々に上昇させていく。
 これにより、DPF22に急激な温度変化を生じさせることなく、第1の再生処理温度から第2の再生処理温度に遷移させることができるため、DPF22のセルが溶損することを確実に防止できる。
 なお、図6に示すように第1の再生処理温度から第2の再生処理温度への遷移を直線的に行ってもよいが、細かいステップで離散的に上昇させてもよい。
 [5]実施形態の作用および効果
 次に、本発明の排気ガス浄化方法となる前述した排気ガス浄化装置9の作用を、図7から図9に示すフローチャートに基づいて、説明する。
 まず、図7に示すように、差圧堆積量算出部26は、差圧堆積量PMaを算出する(手順S1)。続けて、差圧堆積量時間変化率算出部28は、算出された差圧堆積量PMaに基づいて、差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaを算出する(手順S2)。さらに、モデル堆積量算出部27は、モデル堆積量PMbを算出する(手順S3)。なお、手順S1から手順S3は、必ずしもこの順番である必要はなく、並列的に処理しても、順番を入れ替えてもよい。
 次に、PM堆積量算出部29の係数決定部29Aは、係数決定処理を実行する(手順S4)。
 具体的には、図9のフローチャートに示すように、係数決定部29Aは、排気ガス流量QVが閾値QVthを超えているか否かを判定する(手順S41)。排気ガス流量QVが閾値QVthを超えていない場合(S41:No)、係数決定部29Aは、第1係数αの値を0に設定して係数決定処理を終了する(手順S42)。
 排気ガス流量QVが、閾値QVthを超えている場合(S41:Yes)、係数決定部29Aは、差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaが、所定の閾値ΔPMathを超えているか否かを判定する(手順S43)。差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaが所定の閾値ΔPMathを超えていない場合(S43:No)、係数決定部29Aは、第1係数αの値を1に設定して係数決定処理を終了する(手順S44)。
 一方、差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaが、所定の閾値ΔPMathを超えている場合(S43:Yes)、係数修正部29Bは、第1係数αをα’に修正し、係数決定処理を終了する(手順S45)。
 具体的には、図10に示すように、係数決定部29Aは、排気ガス流量QVが、所定の閾値QVthよりも大きいか否かを判定することにより、第1係数αを0、1、α’のいずれかに決定する。
 排気ガス流量QVが、所定の閾値QVthを超えていない場合、図11に示すように、排気ガス流量QVは、領域R1にあり、この場合、係数決定部29Aは、第1係数αを0に決定する。
 第1係数αを0とするのは、領域R1では、差圧堆積量PMaの推定精度が低くなるため、この領域R1では、PM堆積量PMsを、モデル堆積量PMbとして推定するようにしている。
 一方、排気ガス流量QVが、所定の閾値QVthを超えている場合、図11に示すように排気ガス流量QVは、領域R2にあり、この場合、係数決定部29Aは、第1係数αを1またはα’に決定する。
 領域R2においては、DPF22内のPMが再生処理行う必要がある量まで堆積している場合と、DPF22のセル内のPMの一部が剥がれ落ち、セル閉塞を生じている場合が考えられる。再生処理を行う必要がある量までPMが堆積している場合、係数決定部29Aは、第1係数αを1に決定する。
 セル閉塞が生じているか否かを判定するに際しては、図12に示すように、ある時間t1において、セル閉塞が生じると、図12の中段のグラフのように、DPF22内の差圧DPが急上昇する。これに伴い、図12の上段のグラフのように、差圧DPから算出される破線で示される差圧堆積量PMaも急上昇し、実線で示される実際のPM堆積量と、差圧堆積量PMaの間にΔS分の乖離が生じてしまう。
 差圧堆積量PMaが閾値PMthを超えてしまうと、実際のPM堆積量が閾値PMthまで達していなくとも、再生処理が行われてしまう。
 そこで、係数修正部29Bは、図12の下段のグラフのように、差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaが所定の閾値ΔPMathを超えているか否かによって、セル閉塞が生じているか否かを判定し、第1係数αの値を、所定の値α’(0<α’<1)に修正し、係数決定部29Aは、修正されたα’を第1係数αとして決定する。
 係数決定部29Aによる係数決定処理が終了したら、図7に示すように、PM堆積量算出部29は、決定された第1係数αの値を前述した式(1)に代入し、PM堆積量PMsを算出する(手順S5)。
 PM堆積量算出部29は、PM堆積量PMsが、所定の閾値PMthに達しているか否かを判定する(手順S6)。所定の閾値PMthに達していないと判定された場合(S6:No)、手順S1からを繰り返す。
 所定の閾値PMthに達していると判定されたら(S7:Yes)、再生温度設定部30は、DPF22のセル内のPMの崩落が発生しているか否かを判定する(手順S7)。
 PM崩落発生の判定は、係数決定処理と同様に、差圧堆積量PMaが、所定の閾値PMthを超え、かつ差圧堆積量時間変化率ΔPMaが、所定の閾値ΔPMathを超えているか否かによって行われる。PM崩落が生じていないと判定されたら(S7:No)、再生温度設定部30は、図5に示される通常再生処理を行う設定を再生指示部12に出力する(手順S8)。
 PM崩落が生じていると判定された場合(S7:Yes)、再生温度設定部30は、第1の再生処理温度の設定を行う(手順S9)。再生指示部12は、図8に示すように、第1の再生処理温度に基づいて、エンジンコントローラ10に再生処理を指示する(手順S10)。
 第1再生処理温度に基づく再生処理の開始後、再生温度設定部30は、差圧異常が解消したか否かを判定する(手順S11)。
 差圧異常が解消したか否かの判定は、図13に示すように、差圧堆積量PMaが急上昇する時点t2以後、差圧堆積量PMaが所定の閾値PMthを下回り、かつ差圧堆積量PMaがPM堆積量PMsを下回る時点t3によって行われる。なお、差圧堆積量PMaが急上昇する時点t2は、図12におけるt1と同じ時点でもよいが、図13に示すように、再生処理開始における差圧の閾値PMth1を設けた場合、時点t2を再生処理の開始時点とする。
 差圧異常が解消しないと判定された場合(S11:No)、再生温度設定部30は、第1の再生処理温度による再生処理を継続する。
 差圧異常が解消したと判定された場合(S11:Yes)、再生温度設定部30は、第2の再生処理温度を設定して、再生処理温度を遷移させ(手順S12)、再生指示部12は、第2の再生処理温度による再生をエンジンコントローラ10に指示する(手順S13)。
 再生制御部11は、逐次算出されるPM堆積量PMsが所定値以下となるかを判定する(手順S14)。PM堆積量PMsが所定値以下とならない場合(S14:No)、再生温度設定部30は、第2の再生処理温度による再生を継続する。
 PM堆積量PMsが所定値以下となったら、再生制御部11は、再生処理を終了する(手順S15)。
 この結果、図6に示すように、再生制御部11は、セル閉塞が解消するまでは、第1の再生処理温度による再生処理を行い、セル閉塞が解消したと判定されたら、第2の再生処理温度による再生処理を行い、DPF22内に堆積したPMを全て燃焼させることができる。
 また、セル閉塞が解消するまでは、低い温度の第1の再生処理温度による再生処理を行うことにより、セル閉塞によりPMの密度の高い部分の燃焼による急激な温度上昇を避けることができるため、DPF22のセルの溶損を防止することができる。
 [6]実施形態の変形
 なお、本発明は前述の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を達成できる範囲での変形、改良等は本発明に含まれるものである。
 前記実施形態では、モデル堆積量PMbは、ディーゼルエンジン1から発生するPM発生量から、DPFで燃焼するPM燃焼量を減算することによってモデル堆積量を算出していたが、本発明はこれに限られない。他の方法によるPM堆積量のモデルに基づいて、モデル堆積量を算出してもよい。
 前記実施形態では、セル閉塞解消の判定に、差圧堆積量PMaが、所定の閾値PMth以下であり、かつPM堆積量PMs未満となったときに、セル閉塞解消と判定していたが、これに限らず、所定の閾値以下となった場合のみでセル閉塞解消の判定を行ってもよい。
 前記実施形態では、差圧堆積量PMaに基づいて、セル閉塞解消を判定していたが、これに限らず、差圧自体が所定の閾値以下となった場合に、セル閉塞解消と判定してもよい。
 その他、本発明の具体的な構造および形状等は、本発明の目的を達成できる範囲で他の構造等としてもよい。

Claims (7)

  1.  エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
     前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、
     前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する流量検出部と、
     前記差圧検出部および前記流量検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理温度を設定する再生温度設定部と、
     前記再生温度設定部により設定された再生処理温度に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う再生処理部と、を備え、
     前記再生温度設定部は、前記再生処理部により再生処理を開始する第1の再生処理温度を設定し、所定の排気ガス流量のときに、前記差圧検出部により検出される差圧が所定の閾値以下となったら、前記第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  2.  エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
     前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、
     前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する流量検出部と、
     前記差圧検出部および前記流量検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記フィルタ内に堆積した粒子状物質の差圧堆積量を算出する差圧堆積量算出部と、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質の差圧堆積量に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理温度を設定する再生温度設定部と、
     前記再生温度設定部により設定された再生処理温度に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う再生処理部と、を備え、
     前記再生温度設定部は、前記再生処理部により再生処理を開始する第1の再生処理温度を設定し、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質の差圧堆積量が、所定の閾値以下となったら、前記第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  3.  エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
     前記フィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する差圧検出部と、
     前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する流量検出部と、
     前記差圧検出部および前記流量検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記フィルタ内に堆積した粒子状物質の差圧堆積量を算出する差圧堆積量算出部と、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量の時間変化率が、所定の値よりも大きいときに、粒子状物質の堆積モデルを用いて、モデル堆積量を算出するモデル堆積量算出部と、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量、および前記モデル堆積量算出部により算出されたモデル堆積量に基づいて、粒子状物質堆積量を算出する粒子状物質堆積量算出部と、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質の差圧堆積量に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理温度を設定する再生温度設定部と、
     前記再生温度設定部により設定された再生処理温度に基づいて、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う再生処理部と、を備え、
     前記再生温度設定部は、前記再生処理部により再生処理を開始する第1の再生処理温度を設定し、前記粒子状物質堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質堆積量が、所定の閾値以下となったら、前記第1の再生処理温度よりも高い第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  4.  請求項2または請求項3に記載の排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量の時間変化率が、所定の値よりも大きいときに、粒子状物質の堆積モデルを用いて、モデル堆積量を算出するモデル堆積量算出部と、
     前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量、および前記モデル堆積量算出部により算出されたモデル堆積量に基づいて、粒子状物質堆積量を算出する粒子状物質堆積量算出部と、を備え、
     前記再生温度設定部は、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量が、前記粒子状物質堆積量算出部により算出された粒子状物質堆積量未満となったら、前記第2の再生処理温度を設定することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  5.  請求項4に記載の排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、
     前記モデル堆積量算出部により用いられる堆積モデルは、前記フィルタに入力される前記排気ガス内の粒子状物質量から、前記フィルタ内で燃焼される粒子状物質量を減算するモデルであり、
     前記粒子状物質堆積量算出部は、第1係数および第2係数の和が一定値を取ることを条件に、前記差圧堆積量算出部により算出された差圧堆積量に第1係数を乗算し、前記モデル堆積量算出部により算出されたモデル堆積量に第2係数を乗算し、これらの加算値を前記粒子状物質堆積量として算出することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  6.  請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、
     前記再生温度設定部は、前記第1の再生処理温度から前記第2の再生処理温度への遷移を、所定の時間をかけて行うことを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
  7.  エンジンの排気ガス中の粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタの入口および出口間の差圧を検出する手順と、
     前記フィルタ内を流れる排気ガスの流量を検出する手順と、
     検出された差圧および流量に基づいて、所定の排気ガス流量のときに、前記差圧検出部により検出される差圧が所定の閾値以下となったら、再生処理を開始時の第1の再生処理温度よりも、高い第2の再生処理温度を設定し、前記フィルタの再生処理を行う手順と、を実施することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化方法。
