酸化物基準の質量%表示で、ガラス母組成として、SiO2 66~75%、Na2O 10~20%、CaO 5~15%、MgO 0~6%、Al2O3 0~5%、K2O 0~5%、Fe2O3で表した全鉄(t-Fe2O3)0.8%以上2.4%未満、Cr2O3 0~0.01%、CoO 0.02~0.04%、Se 0.0005~0.0045%、TiO2 0%超1%以下を含有し、レドックスが20%以上30%以下であり、レドックス、t-Fe2O3、及びTiO2が所定の関係を満たし、t-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及びSeが所定の関係を満たす紫外線吸収性ガラス物品。
Description
本発明は、車両用(特に、自動車用)濃グレー色ガラスとして好適な紫外線吸収性ガラス物品に関する。
自動車用ガラスのリアサイドガラス及びリアガラスとして、可視光線透過率を大幅に低減させた濃色のグレーガラス(いわゆる、濃グレー色ガラス若しくはプライバシーガラスという)が実用化されている。このプライバシーガラスは、紫外領域から赤外領域までの広い波長域の太陽光線遮蔽性能が高いことによる室内の快適性や空調負荷低減、高級感を与える色調の選択性、デザイン的に優れた意匠性、車内のプライバシー保護、等の面で優れている。
特許文献1は、従来のプライバシーガラスを開示している。
特許文献1は、ソーダ石灰シリカガラスの成分に加えて、赤外線吸収材料、紫外線吸収材料、及び着色剤として作用する成分を使用した、赤外線吸収性、紫外線吸収性のガラス物品を開示している。このガラス物品は、緑色に着色しており、約60%以下の光透過率、約40%以下の全太陽紫外線透過率、約45%以下の全太陽赤外線透過率、約50%以下の全太陽エネルギー透過率である。
近年、紫外線対策についての関心が高まっている。これに対応するため、さらに紫外線透過率(TUV)が低いプライバシーガラスが求められている。一方、安全走行のために、後方の視界確保も求められている。
しかしながら、特許文献1のガラスは、低い紫外線透過率(TUV)を満足しているものの、色が濃くなることにより、視界確保の点で要求を満足できていない。

本発明は、上記した問題点を解決するため、製造しやすく、車両用プライバシーガラスとして好適な、紫外線透過率(TUV)が低く、視界確保の要求を満足する紫外線吸収性ガラス物品を提供することを目的とする。

本発明は、製造しやすく、車両用プライバシーガラスとして好適な、紫外線透過率(TUV)が低く、視界確保の要求を満足する紫外線吸収性ガラス物品を提供する。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、酸化物基準の質量%表示で、SiO2:66~75%、Na2O:10~20%、CaO:5~15%、MgO:0~6%、Al2O3:0~5%、K2O:0~5%、Fe2O3で表した全鉄(t-Fe2O3):0.8%以上、2.4%未満、Cr2O3:0~0.01%、CoO:0.02~0.04%、Se:0.0005~0.0045%、TiO2:0%超、1%以下、を含有し、レドックス([Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)と三価鉄(Fe3+)の合計(Fe2++Fe3+)]、即ち[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)とFe2O3に換算した三価鉄(Fe3+)との合計(Fe2++Fe3+)]、以下「Redox」ともいう)が20%以上、30%以下であり、Redox、t-Fe2O3、及び、TiO2が下記式(1)を満たし、t-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及び、Seが下記式(2)を満たし、板厚3.5mmでの紫外線透過率(TUV)(ISO9050:2003)が2%以下であり、板厚3.5mmでの標準A光源を用いて測定した可視光透過率(TVA)(JIS R 3106(1998))が12%以上、25%以下であり、板厚3.5mmでの日射透過率(TE)(JIS R 3106(1998))が22%以下であり、板厚3.5mmでの、標準C光源を用いて測定した刺激純度(Pe)が10%以下である。

上記した数値範囲を示す「~」とは、その前後に記載された数値を下限値及び上限値として含む意味で使用され、特段の定めがない限り、以下本明細書において「~」は、同様の意味をもって使用される。
本発明において、上記成分とする理由を以下に述べる。なお、特に明記がない限り、%は、質量%を意味するものとする。
SiO2は、ネットワークを構築する成分であり、必須成分である。SiO2は、含有量が66%以上であれば耐候性が良くなる。67%以上であれば好ましく、68%以上であればより好ましい。一方、75%以下であれば粘度が高くなりすぎず、溶融に都合が良い。72%以下であれば好ましく、70%以下であればより好ましい。
Na2Oは、原料の溶融を促進する成分であり、必須成分である。Na2Oは、含有量が10%以上であれば原料の溶融を促進させる。11%以上であれば好ましく、12%以上であればより好ましい。一方、20%以下であれば耐候性が悪くならない。18%以下であれば好ましく、16%以下であればより好ましい。
CaOは、原料の溶融を促進し耐候性を改善する成分であり、必須成分である。CaOは、含有量が5%以上であれば原料の溶融を促進し耐候性を改善させる。6%以上であれば好ましく、7%以上であればより好ましい。一方、15%以下であれば失透を抑制する。13%以下であれば好ましく、11%以下であればより好ましい。
MgOは、原料の溶融を促進し耐候性を改善する成分であり、選択成分である。MgOは、含有量が6%以下であれば失透を抑制する。5%以下であれば好ましく、4%以下であればより好ましい。
Al2O3は、耐候性を改善する成分であり、選択成分である。Al2O3は、含有量が5%以下であれば粘度が高くなりすぎず、溶融に都合が良い。4%以下であれば好ましく、3%以下であればより好ましい。
K2Oは、原料の溶融を促進する成分であり、選択成分である。K2Oは、含有量が5%以下であれば揮発による溶融窯の耐火物へのダメージを抑制する。4%以下であれば好ましく、3%以下であればより好ましい。
Fe2O3に換算した全鉄(t-Fe2O3)の含有量は、0.8%以上であれば可視光透過率(TVA)を大きくさせず、2.4%未満であれば可視光透過率(TVA)を小さくさせない。すなわち、可視光透過率(TVA)が適切な範囲となる。より好ましい全鉄の含有量は、1.0%以上である。また、1.8%以下である。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品では、可視光透過率(TVA)と日射透過率(TE)とのバランスの指標として、レドックス([Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)とFe2O3に換算した三価鉄(Fe3+)との合計(Fe2++Fe3+)])を用いる。本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、レドックスが20%以上であるため、日射透過率(TE)が大きくなりすぎない。一方、30%以下であるため可視光透過率(TVA)が小さくなりすぎない。本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、レドックスが21%以上であることが好ましく、22%以上であることがより好ましい。また29%以下であることが好ましく、28%以下であることがより好ましく、27%以下であることがさらに好ましく、26%以下であることが特に好ましい。
Cr2O3は、さほど刺激純度(Pe)を高めないで、可視光透過率(TVA)を低減させる成分であり、選択成分である。Cr2O3は、含有量が0.01%以下であれば刺激純度(Pe)が大きくなることを抑制する。0.009%以下であれば好ましく、0.008%以下であればより好ましい。
CoOは、ガラスに青みを帯びさせる成分であるとともに、刺激純度(Pe)を10%以下に低下させる成分であり、必須成分である。CoOは、含有量が0.02%以上であればガラスの色調が黄色みを帯びるのを抑制する。0.022%以上であれば好ましく、0.024%以上であればより好ましく、0.025%以上であればさらに好ましい。0.04%以下であればガラスの色調が可視光透過率(TVA)が低くなり過ぎない。0.038%以下であれば好ましく、0.036%以下であればより好ましく、0.030%以下であればさらに好ましい。
Seは、ガラスに赤みを帯びさせる成分であるとともに、刺激純度(Pe)を10%以下に低下させる成分であり、必須成分である。0.0005%以上あればガラスの色調が青みを帯びるのを抑制する。0.0007%以上であれば好ましく、0.0010%以上であればより好ましい。0.0045%以下であれば黄色みを帯びるのを抑制する。0.0037%以下であれば好ましく、0.0034%以下であればより好ましく、0.0020%以下であればさらに好ましい。
TiO2は、紫外線透過率(TUV)を小さくする成分であり、必須成分である。また、TiO2は溶融時の素地の粘性を下げる効果があり、素地の滞留を起こり難くする働きがある。TiO2は、含有量が0%より多いと紫外線透過率(TUV)を大きくしない。
0.1%以上であれば好ましく、0.2%以上であればより好ましい。1%以下であれば黄色味が抑えられ刺激純度(PE)が大きくなることを抑制する。0.98%以下であれば好ましく、0.95%以下であればより好ましく、0.9%以下であればさらに好ましい。
0.1%以上であれば好ましく、0.2%以上であればより好ましい。1%以下であれば黄色味が抑えられ刺激純度(PE)が大きくなることを抑制する。0.98%以下であれば好ましく、0.95%以下であればより好ましく、0.9%以下であればさらに好ましい。
本発明において、上述のようにRedox、t-Fe2O3、及び、TiO2は、成分量や条件によって、可視光透過率(TVA)と日射透過率(TE)とのバランスを保ち、可視光透過率(TVA)を適切な範囲とさせ、紫外線透過率(TUV)を抑え、黄色味を抑え刺激純度(Pe)が大きくなることを抑制することができる。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、Redox、t-Fe2O3、及び、TiO2が下記式(1)を満たすことにより、紫外線透過率(TUV)を容易に低くすることが可能となる。

本発明において、上述のようにt-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及び、Seは、可視光透過率(TVA)を適切な範囲とさせ、刺激純度(Pe)を高めずに可視光透過率(TVA)を低減させ、成分量により適切な色調調整を行なうことができる。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、t-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及び、Seが下記式(2)を満たすことにより、容易にPeを低くすることができるとともに、紫外線透過率(TUV)を2%以下にまで下げることができ、可視光透過率(TVA)を12%以上、25%以下の範囲に設定することができ、濃グレー色ガラスになる。

本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、t-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及び、Seが下記式(2)を満たすことにより、容易にPeを低くすることができるとともに、紫外線透過率(TUV)を2%以下にまで下げることができ、可視光透過率(TVA)を12%以上、25%以下の範囲に設定することができ、濃グレー色ガラスになる。

なお、実生産においては、芒硝などの清澄剤が用いられるため、その痕跡として、0.05~1.0%のSO3が本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品中に残存するのが通常である。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、選択成分として、上記以外にNiの酸化物を含有してもよい。この場合、前記したガラス母組成の成分の合量に対して、酸化物換算(NiO)で0.05%以下に含有させることにより、ガラス物品に褐色を帯びさせること、また日射透過率(TE)を下げることができる。Niの酸化物の含有量は、酸化物換算(NiO)で0.04%以下であることが好ましく、0.03%以下であることがより好ましい。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、上記以外にB、Ba、Sr、Li、Zn、Pb、P、Zr、Biの各酸化物を含有してもよい。これらの酸化物換算(B2O3、BaO、SrO、Li2O、ZnO、PbO、P2O5、ZrO2、Bi2O3)の含有量は、前記したガラス母組成の成分の合量に対して、各々、0~1%であってよい。なお、上記した各酸化物の合計の含有量は、2%以下が好ましく、0.7%以下がより好ましく、0.4%以下がさらに好ましく、0.2%以下が特に好ましく、0.1%以下が最も好ましい。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、Sb、As、Cl、Fを含有してもよい。これらの元素は溶融補助剤、清澄剤から意図的に混入し得る。あるいは原料やカレット中の不純物として含有し得る。これらの含有量は、前記したガラス母組成の成分の合量に対して、0~0.1%であってよく、0~0.05%であってよく、0~0.01%であってよい。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、Snの酸化物を含有してもよい。Snはフロート法における成形時にガラスと接触し、ガラス中に侵入する。酸化物換算(SnO2)の含有量は、前記したガラス母組成の成分の合量に対して、0~0.1%であってよい。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、Mn、Cu、Mo、Nd、Erの各酸化物を含有してもよい。これらの酸化物換算(MnO2、CuO、MoO3、Nd2O3、Er2O3)の含有量は0~0.1%であってよく、0~0.05%であってよく、0~0.01%であってよい。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、紫外線透過率(TUV)を小さくするため、CeO2を含有してもよい。CeO2を含有する場合、CeO2の含有量は0~1%であってよい。CeO2は、好ましくは0.7%以下、より好ましくは0.4%以下、さらに好ましくは0.2%以下、特に好ましくは0.1%以下の割合で含んでもよい。CeO2は、原料コストを安くするためには、実質的に含まないことが好ましい。ここで実質的に含まないとは不可避的不純物を除き含有させないことを意味し、本発明において具体的にはCeO2の含有率がガラス中に100ppm以下であることを意味する。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、V2O5を実質的に含まないことが、日射透過率(TE)が低くなるため好ましい。ここで実質的に含まないとは不可避的不純物を除き含有させないことを意味し、本発明において具体的にはV2O5の含有率がガラス中に100ppm以下であることを意味する。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、V2O5を実質的に含まないことが、日射透過率(TE)が低くなるため好ましい。ここで実質的に含まないとは不可避的不純物を除き含有させないことを意味し、本発明において具体的にはV2O5の含有率がガラス中に100ppm以下であることを意味する。
なお、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、WO3を実質的に含まないことが好ましい。ここで実質的に含まないとは、不可避的不純物を除き意図的に含有させないことを意味し、具体的にはWO3の含有率がガラス中に100ppm以下であることを意味する。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品を車両用、特に車両用プライバシーガラスとして用いる場合、上記組成のガラス板であって、以下のような光学特性を有する。
3.5mm厚さで、紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%以下であり、1%以下が好ましい。
3.5mm厚さで、可視光透過率(TVA)が12%以上であり、13%以上が好ましく、14%以上がより好ましい。一方、3.5mm厚さで、可視光透過率(TVA)が25%以下であり、24%以下が好ましく、23%以下がより好ましい。
3.5mm厚さで、日射透過率(TE)が22%以下であり、20%以下が好ましく、19%以下がより好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、紫外線透過率(TUV400)が5%以下が好ましく、3%以下がより好ましく、2%以下がさらに好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、刺激純度(Pe)が10%以下であり、7%以下が好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、主波長λD が485~580nmであることが好ましい。
本明細書を通じて、日射透過率(TE)、可視光透過率(TVA)は、JIS-R3106(1998)により、紫外線透過率(TUV)は、ISO 9050(2003)により、紫外線透過率(TUV400)はISO13837:2008 convention Aにより、それぞれ求めたものである。また、可視光透過率(TVA)は、標準A光源2度視野を、主波長λD及び刺激純度(Pe)は標準C光源2度視野を、それぞれ用いて算出したものである。
3.5mm厚さで、紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%以下であり、1%以下が好ましい。
3.5mm厚さで、可視光透過率(TVA)が12%以上であり、13%以上が好ましく、14%以上がより好ましい。一方、3.5mm厚さで、可視光透過率(TVA)が25%以下であり、24%以下が好ましく、23%以下がより好ましい。
3.5mm厚さで、日射透過率(TE)が22%以下であり、20%以下が好ましく、19%以下がより好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、紫外線透過率(TUV400)が5%以下が好ましく、3%以下がより好ましく、2%以下がさらに好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、刺激純度(Pe)が10%以下であり、7%以下が好ましい。
また、上記光学特性に加えて、3.5mm厚さで、主波長λD が485~580nmであることが好ましい。
本明細書を通じて、日射透過率(TE)、可視光透過率(TVA)は、JIS-R3106(1998)により、紫外線透過率(TUV)は、ISO 9050(2003)により、紫外線透過率(TUV400)はISO13837:2008 convention Aにより、それぞれ求めたものである。また、可視光透過率(TVA)は、標準A光源2度視野を、主波長λD及び刺激純度(Pe)は標準C光源2度視野を、それぞれ用いて算出したものである。
また、本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品は、粘度が100ポアズとなる温度が1440℃以下であればガラスの製造がしやすいという効果がある。粘度が100ポアズとなる温度は、1435℃以下が好ましく、1410℃以下がより好ましく、1400℃以下であれば特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品の製造法は、特に限定されないが、たとえば、次のようにして製造できる。調合した原料を連続的に溶融炉に供給し、重油等により約1500℃に加熱してガラス化する。次いで、この溶融ガラスを清澄した後、フロート法等により所定の厚さの板状ガラスリボンに成形する。次いで、このガラスリボンを所定の形状に切断することにより、本発明のガラス物品が製造される。その後、必要に応じて、切断したガラスを強化処理し、合わせガラスに加工し、または複層ガラスに加工することができる。

以下において例1~10は実施例、例11~16は比較例である。原料として、ケイ砂、長石、苦灰石、ソーダ灰、芒硝、高炉スラグ、酸化第二鉄、酸化チタン、酸化コバルト、亜セレン酸ソーダ、酸化クロム、等を用いて原料バッチを調合した。ガラスの母成分として、SiO2:65~70、Na2O:13.3、CaO:8.4、MgO:4.6、Al2O3:1.8、K2O:0.7及びSO3:0.2(単位:質量%)からなるソーダライムシリケートガラスを使用した。母成分と、吸収成分として加えるt-Fe2O3(Fe2O3で表した全鉄)、Cr2O3、CoO、Se、V2O5、及びTiO2の合計が100質量%になるようにSiO2含有量を調整して目標組成とした。バッチを白金―ロジウム製のルツボに入れて、電気炉中で、O2濃度0.5%程度の雰囲気において溶融し、カーボン板上に流し出した後、別の電気炉内で徐冷した。得られたガラスブロックを切断し、一部を研磨して蛍光X線分析装置により組成を分析した。別の一部の表面を研磨して鏡面状に、かつ厚み3.5mmになるように仕上げて、分光光度計により分光透過率を測定した。また、分光透過率を基に、紫外線透過率(TUV及びTUV400)、可視光透過率(TVA)、日射透過率(TE)、主波長λD、刺激純度(Pe)を算出した。以下、例1~16に得られたガラス中の吸収成分の含有量と光学特性を示す。
以下において例1~10は実施例、例11~16は比較例である。原料として、ケイ砂、長石、苦灰石、ソーダ灰、芒硝、高炉スラグ、酸化第二鉄、酸化チタン、酸化コバルト、亜セレン酸ソーダ、酸化クロム、等を用いて原料バッチを調合した。ガラスの母成分として、SiO2:65~70、Na2O:13.3、CaO:8.4、MgO:4.6、Al2O3:1.8、K2O:0.7及びSO3:0.2(単位:質量%)からなるソーダライムシリケートガラスを使用した。母成分と、吸収成分として加えるt-Fe2O3(Fe2O3で表した全鉄)、Cr2O3、CoO、Se、V2O5、及びTiO2の合計が100質量%になるようにSiO2含有量を調整して目標組成とした。バッチを白金―ロジウム製のルツボに入れて、電気炉中で、O2濃度0.5%程度の雰囲気において溶融し、カーボン板上に流し出した後、別の電気炉内で徐冷した。得られたガラスブロックを切断し、一部を研磨して蛍光X線分析装置により組成を分析した。別の一部の表面を研磨して鏡面状に、かつ厚み3.5mmになるように仕上げて、分光光度計により分光透過率を測定した。また、分光透過率を基に、紫外線透過率(TUV及びTUV400)、可視光透過率(TVA)、日射透過率(TE)、主波長λD、刺激純度(Pe)を算出した。以下、例1~16に得られたガラス中の吸収成分の含有量と光学特性を示す。
ガラス組成に関する要件を全て満たす実施例(例1~例10)のガラスは、いずれも板厚3.5mmでの光学特性に関する要件を満たしていた。但し、V2O5を含有する例10は、他の実施例(例1~9)に比べて日射透過率(TE)が大きかった。Cr2O3含有量が0.01%超の例11は、板厚3.5mmでの刺激純度(Pe)が10%超であった。式(1)の値が1.73未満の例12は、板厚3.5mmでの紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%超であった。Seを含有しない例13は、板厚3.5mmでの刺激純度(Pe)が10%超であった。CoO含有量が0.02未満の例14は、板厚3.5mmでの刺激純度(Pe)が10%超であった。式(2)の値が4未満の例15は、板厚3.5mmでの紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%超であった。式(2)の値が8超の例16は、板厚3.5mmでの可視光透過率(TVA)が12%未満であった。
本発明を詳細にまた特定の実施態様を参照して説明したが、本発明の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく様々な変更や修正を加えることができることは当業者にとって明らかである。本出願は2015年10月16日出願の日本特許出願(特願2015-204306号)、に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。
本発明によれば、製造しやすく、車両用プライバシーガラスとして好適な、紫外線透過率(TUV)が低く、視界確保の要求を満足する紫外線吸収性ガラス物品を提供することができ、特に自動車のリアサイドガラス窓用及びリアガラス窓用のガラス板として有用である。
Claims (4)
- 酸化物基準の質量%表示で、
SiO2 66~75%、
Na2O 10~20%、
CaO 5~15%、
MgO 0~6%、
Al2O3 0~5%、
K2O 0~5%、
Fe2O3で表した全鉄(t-Fe2O3)0.8%以上、2.4%未満、
Cr2O3 0~0.01%、
CoO 0.02~0.04%、
Se 0.0005~0.0045%、
TiO2 0%超、1%以下、
を含有し、
レドックス([Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)とFe2O3に換算した三価鉄(Fe3+)との合計]、以下「Redox」ともいう)が20%以上、30%以下であり、
Redox、t-Fe2O3、及び、TiO2が下記式(1)を満たし、
t-Fe2O3、Cr2O3、CoO、及び、Seが下記式(2)を満たし、
板厚3.5mmでの紫外線透過率(TUV)(ISO9050:2003)が2%以下であり、
板厚3.5mmでの標準A光源を用いて測定した可視光透過率(TVA)(JIS R 3106(1998))が12%以上、25%以下であり、
板厚3.5mmでの日射透過率(TE)(JIS R 3106(1998))が22%以下であり、
板厚3.5mmでの標準C光源を用いて測定した刺激純度(Pe)が10%以下である、紫外線吸収性ガラス物品。
1.77×(1-Redox/100)×(t-Fe2O3)+0.48×(TiO2) ≧1.73 (1)
4≦(t-Fe2O3)+10×(Cr2O3)+90×(CoO)+1100×(Se) ≦8 (2) - 板厚3.5mmでの、ISO13837:2008 convention Aで規定された紫外線透過率(TUV400)が5%以下である、請求項1に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品。
- V2O5を実質的に含有しない、請求項1又は2に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品。
- 前記ガラス組成の成分の合量に対して、NiOを0~0.05質量%含有する、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス物品。
