Abstract
Description
本発明は、上述した事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、作動精度が高く製造が容易な連動ブレーキ装置を提供することを目的とする。
上記目的を達成するため、本発明は、ブレーキペダル(56)と、当該ブレーキペダル(56)に取り付けられるイコライザ(61)と、当該イコライザ(61)の一端に接続されるリアブレーキ伝達部材(58)と、前記イコライザ(61)の他端に接続される連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材(62)と、当該連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材(62)の作動タイミングを前記リアブレーキ伝達部材(58)の作動タイミングよりも遅らせるディレイスプリング(64)とを備えた車両の連動ブレーキ装置において、前記イコライザ(61)の初期位置を規制する棒状の初期位置ストッパ(63)を備え、前記イコライザ(61)は、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)の外周部に対して摺動する当接部(107)を備えたことを特徴とする。
また、前記当接部(107)は、前記イコライザ(61)の後縁部(101b)が後方に膨出した膨出部(110)に設けられ、前記初期位置では、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)の下面に当接することを特徴とする。
さらに、本発明は、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)は、前記当接部(107)に対し回動して当接する回動部材(88b)を備えることを特徴とする。
また、本発明は、前記ブレーキペダル(56)、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)、及び、前記ディレイスプリング(64)は、車体に対して着脱可能なブラケット(43R)に支持されていることを特徴とする。
また、車両の側面視で、初期位置ストッパの軸中心は、イコライザとブレーキペダルとの接続部の中心よりも車両の前方に配置されるため、イコライザを初期位置ストッパに安定して当接させることができる。
さらに、初期位置ストッパは、当接部に対し回動して当接する回動部材を備えるため、当接部と初期位置ストッパとの摺動のフリクションを低減でき、連動ブレーキ装置の作動精度を高くできる。
また、ブレーキペダル、初期位置ストッパ、及び、ディレイスプリングは、車体に対して着脱可能なブラケットに支持されているため、ブレーキペダル、初期位置ストッパ、及び、ディレイスプリングの互いの位置精度を向上でき、連動ブレーキ装置の作動精度を高くできる。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態に係る自動二輪車の右側面図である。なお、図1では、左右一対で設けられるものは、右側のものだけが図示されており、左側のものは符号を含めて不図示である。
自動二輪車1は、車体フレームFにパワーユニットとしてのエンジン10が支持され、前輪2を操舵可能に支持する操舵系11が車体フレームFの前端に操舵可能に支持され、後輪3を支持するスイングアーム12が車体フレームFの後部側に設けられた車両である。自動二輪車1は、乗員が跨るようにして着座するシート13が車体フレームFの後部の上方に設けられた鞍乗り型の車両である。
メインフレーム15は、ヘッドパイプ14から後下がりに延びるメインフレーム前部15aと、メインフレーム前部15aの後端で下方に屈曲してピボットフレーム17まで延びるセンターフレーム部15bとを備える。
ピボットフレーム17には、ピボットフレーム17を車幅方向に貫通するピボット軸22が設けられ、スイングアーム12は前端部をピボット軸22に軸支される。スイングアーム12は、ピボット軸22側から左右一対で延びるアーム部12a,12aを備え、後輪3は、アーム部12a,12aの後端部間に渡される後輪車軸3aに軸支される。
アーム部12a,12aの後部とシートフレーム18,18との間には、左右一対のリアサスペンション24,24が掛け渡される。
エンジン10は、メインフレーム15の下方でダウンフレーム16とピボットフレーム17との間に配置され、ダウンフレーム16及びピボットフレーム17によって支持される。
エンジン10の排気管33は、シリンダ部32の前面から後下方に延出され、エンジン10の下方を通って後方に延び、スイングアーム12の右側方に配置されたマフラー34に接続される。
シリンダ部32の後部には、混合気をシリンダ部32に供給する燃料供給装置37が接続される。燃料供給装置37は、センターフレーム部15bの側方に位置する。エアクリーナーボックス38は、センターフレーム部15bとサブフレーム19,19との間に配置され、燃料供給装置37の後部に接続される。燃料供給装置37及びエアクリーナーボックス38の下方でピボットフレーム17の側方には、燃料タンク39の蒸発燃料を吸着するキャニスタ29が配置されている。
ピボットフレーム17の左右の側方には、枠状のピリオンステップブラケット43L,43R(左側のピリオンステップブラケット43Lは不図示)が左右一対で設けられている。同乗者用の左右一対のピリオンステップ44,44は、ピリオンステップブラケット43L,43Rに支持される。また、マフラー34は、右側のピリオンステップブラケット43R(ブラケット)に支持されている。
自動二輪車1は、車体カバーとして、フロントフォーク20,20の上部を前方から覆うフロントカバー46と、エンジン10の後方で前側シート13aの下方の部分を側方から覆う左右一対のピリオンステップカバー47,47と、シートフレーム18,18の後部を覆うリアカバー48とを備える。前輪2の上方にはフロントフェンダー49が設けられる。
前輪ブレーキ作動部53は、機械式のドラムブレーキであり、前輪2と一体に回転するドラム部(不図示)にブレーキシュー(不図示)が押し付けられることで、前輪2を制動する。前輪ブレーキ操作ケーブル54を介してブレーキレバー52の操作が入力されると、前輪側リターンスプリング(不図示)によってブレーキの非作動方向に付勢されていたブレーキシューが、前輪側リターンスプリングに抗してドラム部の内周部に押し付けられ、前輪2が制動される。
後輪ブレーキ作動部57は、機械式のドラムブレーキであり、後輪3と一体に回転するドラム部(不図示)にブレーキシュー(不図示)が押し付けられることで、後輪3を制動する。ブレーキロッド58を介してブレーキペダル56の操作が入力されると、後輪側リターンスプリング(不図示)によってブレーキの非作動方向に付勢されていたブレーキシューが、後輪側リターンスプリングに抗してドラム部の内周部に押し付けられ、後輪3が制動される。
図2は、前後連動ブレーキ機構60の要部を示す右側面図である。ここで、図2では、左側のピリオンステップカバー47が取り外されているとともに、前後連動ブレーキ機構60は、ブレーキペダル56が操作されていない「初期状態」が示されている。
ブレーキペダル56及び連動ブレーキケーブル62はピリオンステップブラケット43Rに軸支され、イコライザ61は、枠状のピリオンステップブラケット43Rに囲まれるように配置される。
ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、ピボットフレーム17を側方から覆うように設けられる板状の前フレーム部70と、前フレーム部70の上部から後上がりに後方へ延びる棒状の内側アーム部71(内側アーム)と、前フレーム部70の下部から略水平に後方へ延びるパイプ状の外側アーム部72(外側アーム)と、外側アーム部72の後端部から前上がりに延びて内側アーム部71の後端部に接続されるパイプ状の後フレーム部73とを備える。ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、側面視及び平面視では、前フレーム部70、内側アーム部71、外側アーム部72及び後フレーム部73で囲まれた枠内空間Sを備える。
外側アーム部72及び後フレーム部73は、一本のパイプ材を側面視で略V字状に屈曲させたものであり、外側アーム部72及と後フレーム部73とは、後方に凸となる後部屈曲部74を介して連続している。
内側アーム部71は、前フレーム部70の外側面に沿うように直線部72aと略平行に後方へ延びる。また、後フレーム部73は、上端側ほど車幅方向内側となるように傾斜して後部屈曲部74から上方に延び、内側アーム部71に接続されている。
すなわち、外側アーム部72は、内側アーム部71よりも車幅方向外側に位置しており、これにより、図4に示すように、平面視では、枠内空間Sは車幅方向にも延在している。
枠内空間Sは、側面視で外側アーム部72と内側アーム部71との間に位置して上下に延びる第1の空間S1と、平面視で内側アーム部71と外側アーム部72との間に位置して車幅方向に延びる第2の空間S2とを備える。
ペダル支持部76には、外側壁部76b及び内側壁部76cを車幅方向に貫通するピボット軸支持孔部76dが設けられ、ピボット軸支持孔部76dには、ブレーキペダル56を回動自在にするペダルピボット軸91が挿通される。外側壁部76bには、ペダルピボット軸91が固定される軸固定部76eが設けられる。
また、ペダル支持部76は、前壁部76aの上縁から後方に延びる板状の前側ストッパ76fを備える。
ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、前側ストッパ76fの後方で外側アーム部72の内側部から上方に延びる後側ストッパ77を備える。
ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、前フレーム部70の上部の外側面から上方に突出するイコライザ受け部79と、前フレーム部70の下端から下方に延びるリターンスプリング支持部80と、前フレーム部70から車幅方向外側に突出するカバー固定部70aとを備える。リターンスプリング支持部80は、リターンスプリング59の一端(上端)が接続される支持孔80aを備える。リターンスプリング59の他端は、ブレーキペダル56に形成された支持部(不図示)に支持される。
後壁部83には、後壁部83の面を略垂直に貫通する筒状のケーブル支持筒85が設けられ、連動ブレーキケーブル62はケーブル支持筒85に支持される。ケーブル支持筒85は、連動ブレーキケーブル62を側方から通すことが可能なスリット部85aを側面部に備える。ケーブル支持筒85の軸線85bは、側面視では、内側アーム部71に沿うように前下がりに延びる。
ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、結合部75及び側板部82を貫通する後部固定孔部86を備え、ピリオンステップブラケット43Rの後部は、後部固定孔部86に挿通されるボルト87によってサブフレーム19に固定される。
ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、ピボット軸22及びボルト87によって車体フレームFに固定されており、ピボット軸22及びボルト87の締結を解除することで、車体フレームFから取り外すことが可能となる。
初期位置ストッパ63は、前後方向では、前側ストッパ76fと後側ストッパ77との間に位置する。また、図4の上面視では、前側ストッパ76f、初期位置ストッパ63、後側ストッパ77、ディレイスプリング支持部84a、及び、ケーブル支持筒85は、枠内空間Sの第2の空間S2内に位置し、外側アーム部72の直線部72aよりも車幅方向内側に位置する。
ステー部89においてマフラー固定部89aの前方には、右側のピリオンステップ44を支持するステップ支持部89bが設けられる。
ピリオンステップカバー47は、前フレーム部70、内側アーム部71、枠内空間Sの大部分、ブレーキペダル56の上部、イコライザ61、ディレイスプリング64、初期位置ストッパ63、及び、連動ブレーキケーブル62の他端部等を外側から覆う。
ブレーキペダル56は、外側アーム部72の下方から車幅方向内側に延びるペダルピボット軸91に軸支され、車幅方向では、外側アーム部72の内側且つ内側アーム部71の外側に位置する。ブレーキペダル56は、ペダルピボット軸91を中心に回動自在であり、作動アーム部94はペダルピボット軸91と一体に回動する。ペダルピボット軸91は、外端部のフランジ部91aがペダル支持部76の軸固定部76eに固定される。リターンスプリング59の他端(下端)は、ペダル本体部93に接続されている。
ブレーキペダル56の作動アーム部94は、後縁部から後方に突出するストッパ当接部95と、上端部に設けられるイコライザ支持軸96(軸部材)とを備える。ストッパ当接部95は、上下方向で後側ストッパ77の上部に重なる高さ位置に設けられる。イコライザ支持軸96は、作動アーム部94の上端部からペダルピボット軸91と平行に車幅方向内側へ延びる。
図5~図7を参照し、イコライザ61は、前後方向よりも上下方向に長い板状に形成されている。イコライザ61は、ブレーキペダル56のイコライザ支持軸96に軸支されるイコライザピボット孔部100を上下方向(長手方向)の中間部に備える。
イコライザ61は、イコライザピボット孔部100から上方に延びる前輪ブレーキ操作アーム部101と、イコライザピボット孔部100から下方に延びる後輪ブレーキ操作アーム部102とを一体に備える。
また、イコライザ61は、ブレーキロッド58の一端(前端)が接続されるロッド接続部105を後輪ブレーキ操作アーム部102の下端部(イコライザの一端)に備える。
側面視では、イコライザ61は、上部が内側アーム部71に車幅方向の外側から重なる。イコライザ61の前輪ブレーキ操作アーム部101の上端部は、内側アーム部71の車幅方向外側を通り、内側アーム部71の前上方に突出する。
また、側面視では、イコライザ61は、下端部のロッド接続部105が外側アーム部72に車幅方向の内側から重なる。すなわち、外側方から見た場合、外側アーム部72は、イコライザ61の下部に設けられ、内側アーム部71はイコライザ61の上部に設けられる。側面視では、イコライザ61のイコライザピボット孔部100は、内側アーム部71と外側アーム部72との間に位置し、第1の空間S1内に位置する。
後縁部101bは、「初期状態」の姿勢において、イコライザピボット孔部100の後縁部に連続して上方に延びる下側後縁部106と、下側後縁部106の上端で前方へ屈曲して前上方に斜めに延びる当接部107と、当接部107の前端で屈曲して上方に延び、前輪ブレーキ操作アーム部101の上縁に繋がる上側後縁部108とを備える。
詳細には、当接部107は、下側後縁部106の上端で前方へ屈曲して前上がりに直線的に延びている。上側後縁部108は、当接部107よりも大きな傾斜(より鉛直に近い傾斜)で前上がりに直線的に延びている。当接部107と上側後縁部108との間は、曲面部109で滑らかに繋がれている。
上側後縁部108は、前縁部101aに対し略平行に上下に延びている。当接部107は、上側後縁部108の下端から後方に向けて屈曲し、イコライザピボット孔部100側(下方側)ほど後縁部101bの後方への膨出量が大きくなるように傾斜して下方に延びる。
また、初期位置ストッパ63は、断面円形の軸部88aに回動部材88bを設けて構成されるものであり、形状が簡単であるため、容易に高精度に形成できる。さらに、初期位置ストッパ63は、内側アーム部71の外側面の嵌合部に軸状の部分が嵌合されて位置決めされるため、内側アーム部71に対して位置精度が高い状態を簡単に実現できる。このため、初期位置ストッパ63及び当接部107を高精度に設けることができ、イコライザ61をスムーズに作動させることができる。
また、図6に示すように、連動ブレーキケーブル62は、アウターケーブル62aの他端がケーブル支持筒85に支持され、インナーケーブル62bの他端側がケーブル支持筒85から前方に引き出され、インナーケーブル62bの他端62b1がケーブル接続部104にジョイント部材130を介して接続される。インナーケーブル62bの他端側は、伸縮自在なブーツ65で覆われる。
ディレイスプリング64は、インナーケーブル62b及び内側アーム部71の上方を、インナーケーブル62b及び内側アーム部71に沿うように前下がりに延びる。
イコライザ61の後輪ブレーキ操作アーム部102のロッド接続部105には、ブレーキロッド58の一端がジョイントを介して回動自在に接続される。ブレーキロッド58は、ロッド接続部105から後下がりに後方へ延び、他端が後輪ブレーキ作動部57に接続される。
また、図2及び図6では、前後連動ブレーキ機構60は、「初期状態」が示されている。
図2、図6及び図8を参照し、「初期状態」では、ブレーキペダル56は、リターンスプリング59の引張り力により、ペダルピボット軸91を中心に図中の反時計回り方向Aに回動する方向に付勢されている。この状態では、ブレーキペダル56は、作動アーム部94のストッパ当接部95がピリオンステップブラケット43Rの後側ストッパ77に当接することで、回動位置が規制されており、ブレーキペダル56は中立位置N(図8)にある。「初期状態」では、初期位置ストッパ63の軸中心88cは、イコライザ支持軸96よりも前方に位置する。
詳細には、「初期状態」では、イコライザ61の当接部107は、側面視で前上がりの状態にあり、ディレイスプリング64の付勢力によって、回動部材88bの下面の前部に下方から当接させられている。ここで、ディレイスプリング64は、所定の初期荷重が付された状態で取り付けられている。このため、上記初期荷重を超える荷重が作用しなければ、ディレイスプリング64は伸びず、イコライザ61は、当接部107が回動部材88bに当接した状態に維持される。ディレイスプリング64は、後輪ブレーキ作動部57の作動タイミングに対し、前輪ブレーキ作動部53の作動タイミングを遅らせるために設けられる部材である。
「後輪ブレーキ状態」では、ブレーキペダル56は、リターンスプリング59に抗して、中立位置Nから時計回り方向Bに回動された後輪ブレーキ位置RBにあり、作動アーム部94も時計回り方向Bに回動している。これに伴い、イコライザ61の支点であるイコライザ支持軸96が前方に移動するため、イコライザ61も前方に移動する。
詳細には、当接部107は、「初期状態」では側面視で前上がりの状態であるとともに回動部材88bの下面に当接しているが、ブレーキペダル56の操作量が増えるほど、より鉛直側の姿勢になっていく。そして、「後輪ブレーキ状態」においてブレーキペダル56の操作量の増加に伴い、当接部107は、回動部材88bに沿って前上方に摺動し、回動部材88bのより前面側に当接するように移動する。
初期位置ストッパ63は、初期位置ストッパ63の外周部を構成する回動部材88bが当接部107に対して回動するため、当接部107に対する摺動のフリクションが小さい。このため、当接部107は、初期位置ストッパ63に対して高精度に且つスムーズに摺動できる。
なお、「後輪ブレーキ状態」において、ブレーキレバー52を操作することで、前後連動ブレーキ機構60とは独立して前輪ブレーキ作動部53を作動させて前輪2を制動することができる。
図9は、「連動ブレーキ状態」を示す側面図である。ここで、図9では、「初期状態」及び「後輪ブレーキ状態」が仮想線で図示されている。
ブレーキペダル56の操作量が後輪ブレーキ位置RBから所定量を超えて連動ブレーキ位置CBになると、前後連動ブレーキ機構60は「連動ブレーキ状態」となる。
「連動ブレーキ状態」では、ブレーキペダル56の作動アーム部94が「後輪ブレーキ状態」よりも大きく時計回り方向Bに回動しており、イコライザ61もより大きく前方に移動している。
また、「連動ブレーキ状態」では、後輪ブレーキ操作アーム部102が「後輪ブレーキ状態」よりも大きく前方に移動しているため、ブレーキロッド58の前方への移動量が大きくなり、後輪ブレーキ作動部57の制動力が「後輪ブレーキ状態」よりも増加している。
また、イコライザ61の前方側への移動量は、イコライザ61の前輪ブレーキ操作アーム部101の前縁部101aがイコライザ受け部79に後方から当接することで規制される。
イコライザ61のイコライザピボット孔部100は、イコライザ61を板厚方向に貫通する孔120に、イコライザ支持軸96が挿通される支持筒121(支持部)を嵌合させて形成されている。
支持筒121は、円筒状の筒部121aと、筒部121aの車幅方向内側の端から径方向に突出するフランジ部121bと、イコライザ支持軸96が嵌合する内周部121cと、筒部121aの車幅方向外側の端において内周部121cよりも大径に形成された支持部側段部121dとを備える。支持筒121は、イコライザ61の本体部の板厚H0よりも軸方向において長く形成されている。
筒部121aは、車幅方向内側から孔120に挿通され、イコライザ61の内側面に突き当てられたフランジ部121bの外周部を溶接ビード122で溶接することで、イコライザ61に一体化されている。筒部121aの支持部側段部121d側の端部は、イコライザ61の外側面から車幅方向外側に突出する。
イコライザ支持軸96は、孔125に固定される固定軸部96aと、固定軸部96aよりも大径に形成された鍔状の軸側段部96bと、軸側段部96bよりも小径に形成された支持軸部96cとを備える。軸側段部96bは、固定軸部96aと支持軸部96cとの間に設けられる。支持軸部96cは、車幅方向内側の端部に、位置規制部材127が係合する係合部96dを備える。ここでは、係合部96dは、支持軸部96cを径方向に貫通するピン係合孔であり、位置規制部材127は、ピン係合孔に係合するピンである。
イコライザ支持軸96の軸側段部96bの外径は、支持筒121の内周部121cよりも大径且つ支持部側段部121dよりも小径に形成されている。また、軸側段部96bの軸方向の長さは、支持部側段部121dの軸方向の深さよりも小さく形成されている。
その後、ワッシャ126がフランジ部121bに近接して配置されるとともに、位置規制部材127が係合部96dに係合することで、イコライザ61は位置規制部材127によって軸方向に抜け止めされる。
しかし、本実施の形態では、イコライザ61を逆方向に組み込んだ場合、支持筒121のフランジ部121b側の端面が軸側段部96bに当接し、外観上、正しい組み付け方向とは異なることが明確となる。また、逆方向に組み込んだ場合は、正しい組み付け方向の場合に比して支持筒121が係合部96d側に位置し、支持筒121の端部が係合部96dに外周側から重なる。これにより、支持筒121の端部が邪魔になり、位置規制部材127を係合部96dに組み付けできないため、イコライザ61の誤組が防止される。
また、イコライザ支持軸96は、イコライザ61の板厚よりも軸方向において長い支持筒121に嵌合してイコライザ61を軸支するため、軸支する部分の接触面積を大きく確保できる。このため、イコライザ支持軸96とイコライザ61と支持部のガタを小さくでき、イコライザ61をスムーズに作動させることができる。
ブレーキロッド58の前端のジョイントは、車幅方向の内側から挿通される軸状の連結部材133によってイコライザ61のロッド接続部105に連結される。連結部材133の先端部は車幅方向外側に突出し、この先端部には、ピン134が挿通される。連結部材133は、基端部の鍔部とピン134とによって軸方向に抜け止めされる。
ピン132,134は、イコライザ61の車幅方向外側に露出している。このため、外側からピン132,134にアクセスし易く、イコライザ61の周辺部のメンテナンス性が良い。
図7に示すように、ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、車体フレームFに対して車幅方向の外側に設けられており、枠内空間S内に配置されたイコライザ61及びブレーキペダル56等の部品も、車体フレームFよりも車幅方向の外側に位置する。このため、イコライザ61等のメンテナンスの際に車体フレームFが邪魔になることを防止でき、メンテナンス性が良い。また、枠内空間Sは車幅方向外側に開放しているため、枠内空間Sのスペースを利用してメンテナンスを行うことができ、作業性が良い。
また、ピリオンステップブラケット43Rは、車体フレームFに対して締結して取り付けられているため、車体フレームFに着脱自在である。このため、必要に応じてピリオンステップブラケット43Rを車体フレームFから容易に外してメンテナンスでき、メンテナンス性が良い。
さらに、内側アーム部71に取り付けられた初期位置ストッパ63は、枠内空間S内で外側アーム部72よりも車幅方向内側に位置する。このため、外力が初期位置ストッパ63に及ぶことを防止できる。
また、外側アーム部72の上方に配置される内側アーム部71は、外側アーム部72よりも車幅方向の内側に位置する。これにより、枠内空間Sの上部には上方からアクセスし易いため、枠内空間Sの上部側に位置するイコライザ61、連動ブレーキケーブル62及びディレイスプリング64等の部品を容易にメンテナンスできる。
また、イコライザ支持軸96は、側面視で第1の空間S1内に設けられるとともに、平面視で第2の空間S2内に設けられている。このため、イコライザ支持軸96をピリオンステップブラケット43Rで保護できるとともに、側面側及び上下方向からイコライザ支持軸96に容易にアクセスでき、メンテナンス性が良い。
また、当接部107は、イコライザ61の後縁部101bが後方に膨出した膨出部110に設けられるため、当接部107を容易に高精度に形成できる。また、初期位置では、当接部107は初期位置ストッパ63の下面に当接するため、膨出部110の形状を簡単なものにでき、当接部107を高精度に形成できる。
また、ブレーキペダル56、初期位置ストッパ63、及び、ディレイスプリング64は、車体に対して着脱可能なピリオンステップブラケット43Rに支持されているため、ブレーキペダル56、初期位置ストッパ63、及び、ディレイスプリング64の互いの位置精度を向上でき、前後連動ブレーキ機構60の作動精度を高くできる。
また、イコライザ支持軸96には、支持筒121の軸方向の位置を規制する位置規制部材127が係合する係合部96dが設けられ、軸側段部96bを支持部側段部121d内に収容する方向とは逆方向で支持筒121がイコライザ支持軸96に組み付けられると、軸側段部96bが支持筒121の軸方向の端面に当接するとともに、支持筒121が係合部96dを外側から覆う。これにより、支持筒121が逆方向でイコライザ支持軸96に組み付けられると、支持筒121が邪魔になり位置規制部材127を取り付けできないため、支持筒121の誤組を防止できる。
また、側面視で、外側アーム部72はイコライザ61の下部に設けられ、内側アーム部71はイコライザ61の上部に設けられるため、イコライザ61の上部には、車幅方向の外側からアクセスが容易となる。このため、メンテナンス性が良い。
また、内側アーム部71は、外側アーム部72の上方に位置し、イコライザ61は、ブレーキペダル56を介して外側アーム部72に支持され、イコライザ61の初期位置を規制する初期位置ストッパ63は、内側アーム部71に支持されている。これにより、外側アーム部72でイコライザ61を保護できるとともに、初期位置ストッパ63を車幅方向の内側に設けて外力から保護できる。
また、側面視で外側アーム部72と内側アーム部71との間に位置する第1の空間S1と、平面視で内側アーム部71と外側アーム部72との間に位置する第2の空間S2とが形成されており、ブレーキペダル56がイコライザ61を支持するイコライザ支持軸96は、側面視で第1の空間S1内に設けられるとともに、平面視で第2の空間S2内に設けられている。これにより、側面側及び上下方向からイコライザ支持軸96に容易にアクセスでき、メンテナンス性が良い。
上記実施の形態では、係合部96dは、支持軸部96cを径方向に貫通するピン係合孔であり、位置規制部材127は、ピン係合孔に係合するピンであるものとして説明したが本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。例えば、係合部をイコライザ支持軸96の外周に設けられる溝とし、固定具をこの溝に係合するリング状のクリップとしても良い。
また、上記実施の形態では、イコライザ61は、プレス加工で製造されるものとして説明したが、これに限らず、イコライザは、鋳造や、板材を機械加工等して製造されても良い。
また、上記実施の形態では、回動部材88bは、円筒状のローラであるものとして説明したが、これに限らず、例えばボール状のものであっても良い。また、回動部材を設けずに、軸部88aに当接部107を直接的に摺動させる構成としても良い。
さらに、イコライザ61は、ブレーキペダル56のイコライザ支持軸96に取り付けられるものとして説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。イコライザ61は、イコライザ61とブレーキペダル56との間に設けられる他の部材を介して間接的にブレーキペダル56に接続されていても良い。
また、上記実施の形態では、リアブレーキ伝達部材としてブレーキロッド58を用い、連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材として連動ブレーキケーブル62を用いる構成を例に挙げて説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。例えば、前輪ブレーキ装置及び後輪ブレーキ装置の少なくともいずれかを油圧式のブレーキ作動部を備えたものとしても良い。この場合、リアブレーキ伝達部材としては、イコライザと後輪のブレーキ作動部とを接続する後輪側ブレーキホースが用いられ、連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材としては、イコライザと前輪のブレーキ作動部とを接続する前輪側ブレーキホースが用いられる。
また、上記実施の形態では、鞍乗り型車両として自動二輪車1を例に挙げて説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではなく、例えば、3輪以上の車輪を有する鞍乗り型車両に本発明を適用しても良い。

Claims (5)
- ブレーキペダル(56)と、当該ブレーキペダル(56)に取り付けられるイコライザ(61)と、当該イコライザ(61)の一端に接続されるリアブレーキ伝達部材(58)と、前記イコライザ(61)の他端に接続される連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材(62)と、当該連動用フロントブレーキ伝達部材(62)の作動タイミングを前記リアブレーキ伝達部材(58)の作動タイミングよりも遅らせるディレイスプリング(64)とを備えた車両の連動ブレーキ装置において、
前記イコライザ(61)の初期位置を規制する棒状の初期位置ストッパ(63)を備え、
前記イコライザ(61)は、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)の外周部に対して摺動する当接部(107)を備えたことを特徴とする車両の連動ブレーキ装置。 - 車両の側面視で、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)の軸中心(88c)は、前記イコライザ(61)と前記ブレーキペダル(56)との接続部の中心(96)よりも車両の前方に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両の連動ブレーキ装置。
- 前記当接部(107)は、前記イコライザ(61)の後縁部(101b)が後方に膨出した膨出部(110)に設けられ、前記初期位置では、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)の下面に当接することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両の連動ブレーキ装置。
- 前記初期位置ストッパ(63)は、前記当接部(107)に対し回動して当接する回動部材(88b)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の車両の連動ブレーキ装置。
- 前記ブレーキペダル(56)、前記初期位置ストッパ(63)、及び、前記ディレイスプリング(64)は、車体に対して着脱可能なブラケット(43R)に支持されていることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の車両の連動ブレーキ装置。
